Title: Is Obamacare Still Working for You?
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by David Balat
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

A decade after Congress passed the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), the majority of Americans believe the country’s health care system is still broken. In addition, almost half say health care costs have gone up and the quality has gone down.

David Balat is the Director of Right on Healthcare with the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Today he wants you to ask yourself this question: “Is Obamacare Still Working for You?

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Was Obamacare sold to the American people through the use of exaggerations, undeliverable promises, and outright lies?

Is the over-arching goal of Democrats nationalized health care for all Americans?

Do the majority of Americans believe the country’s health care system is still broken? If so, in what ways?

Reminder: The Democrats behind Obamacare are quoted on camera saying that they knew it would fail – it would have to. Think about that when you vote this November!

Do most Americans recognize Obamacare as the flop that it is?

Do most Americans want to be in charge of their own medical insurance and medical care?

What can help bring up the quality and bring down the cost for insurance? David suggests looking at this article  on their website for more information.

Are bankruptcies due to medical costs still as high as they were before Obamacare?

Who is going to fix this problem in America – Democrats, Republicans, or the people?

Title: Are Obamacare Enrollees Working?
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Victoria Eardley
with Foundation for Government Accountability (www.theFGA.org)

New research from the Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA) finds that an estimated 6.8 million ObamaCare expansion enrollees are not working at all.

Victoria Eardley is a Research Fellow at the Foundation for Government Accountability. Listen as Victoria sheds more light on this issue.

You can read the report from FGA here.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Was that the purpose of Obamacare?

Are people who are not working eligible for Medicaid?

What percentage of people not working receive Medicaid?

Are they required to pay a premium? Or is their medical care completely free – paid for by the tax payers?

Do many on Obamacare Medicaid also receive food stamps and housing/electricity allowances? Does this just lock them into a perpetual circle of welfare?

Are there some on waiting lists who cannot physically work but have been denied Medicaid because others are bleeding the system dry?

Would implementing commonsense work and/or volunteer requirements move able-bodied adults from welfare to work, ensuring that funds are preserved for the truly needy?

Title: What’s UP With Obamacare?
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Robert Henneke
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

What’s UP with Obamacare? Don’t tune out! Robert Henneke has an update!

Before joining the Texas Public Policy Foundation, Robert served as the twice-elected Kerr County Attorney. Robert began his legal career serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the General Litigation division under the leadership of then Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott. He is currently the General Counsel and Director of the Center for the American Future at the TPPF.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Why are the American people tired of hearing about ObamaCare? Robert Henneke says: “We are tired of all talk and no action!” This is so true!

Is the “other side” hoping that the GOP will just give up and surrender?

What has the US Supreme Court ruled concerning mandates within Obamacare?

What has Congress done concerning the penalties if a person/family does not purchase medical insurance?

What happens if the US Supreme Court rules in the favor of Texas and other states, invalidating ObamaCare?

HHow is the Texas Public Policy Foundation helping not only Texans, but the American people as a whole?

Title: Repeal and Respect
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Chip Roy
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

Part 1 of 2

New guest, Chip Roy, is the Director of the Center for Tenth Amendment Action at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.  He believes Congress should not attempt to re-construct the healthcare system. Why not? He says: “D.C.’s ideas don’t work.” Listen in as Chip Roy offers some great insight into how Congress should address the replacement of Obamacare.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Chip Roy worked with Senator Ted Cruz. What was one of his accomplishments during his campaign?

Are many Republicans backtracking on their promise the repeal Obamacare?

Are some in Congress wanting to bring back earmarks?

If the Republicans vote to simply replace Obamacare, will voters give them a pink slip in 2018?

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Repeal and Respect
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Chip Roy
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is the Tenth Amendment?

What three concepts should the Federal Government do immediately regarding Obamacare?

Why can’t the Republicans realize the importance of removing mandates like pregnancy care and alcohol rehabilitation from the healthcare system? Won’t this reduce the cost of insurance for everyone?

Should individuals be allowed to buy health insurance across state lines?

What is the best way to pay for health insurance for those who truly need it, but cannot afford it? Chip Roy encourages host Terry Lowry to get himself elected to change Washington! (Editor’s note: I agree!!)

If RINO’s and Democrats team up to push a replacement bill for a vote? If so, will Trump veto it?

How many Democrat Senators are up for re-election in Red States in 2018?

Title: The Oath of Hypocrisy and the Politicians “Disease”
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Marilyn Singleton
with Dr. Marilyn Singleton (MarilynSingletonMDJD.com)

All physicians are required to pledge the Hippocratic Oath, which is a promise to help and never harm a patient. The majority of physicians are good, honest doctors who want nothing but the best for their patients; however, government bureaucrats have fumbled and bumbled with Obamacare and too many patients are now paying the price.

Dr. Marilyn Singleton, with the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, offers some insight for us today.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

How important is the Hippocratic Oath?

Has anyone patented a drug to cure the “Politician’s Disease”? Disclaimer: This is not really a real disease. Just to clarify…

Have the courts ruled that it is up to the average citizen to determine what is a lie and what is the truth when it comes to politics? FACT: Politicians are allowed to lie about anything and everything with virtually no consequences whatsoever.

Did the architects of Obamacare tell the truth?

Are major health insurance companies leaving Obamacare?

Are politicians attacking “the man” instead of facing the truth about the biggest scam in the history of government?

If Obamacare implodes, will it help or hinder those currently insured?

Title: Can Congress Fix Obamacare?
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Jane Orient
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

Congress has tried and failed to aid the American people through health insurance reform for decades. Why do they – and we – think they can fix their own mess now?

Dr. Jane Orient is the current President of Doctors for Disaster Preparedness. Listen in as she explains the ins and outs of past, current, and future health care reform.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

There are necessities of life. Is health insurance one of them?

Is universal health insurance with everyone covered an absolute requirement for our elected officials to achieve? Dr. Orient has an excellent response to this question. Listen in!

Does having health-insurance coverage guarantee access to health care?

Is it oftentimes cheaper to pay cash for certain health-related tests and procedures, even if you have health insurance coverage?

Has third-party pay contributed to a large portion of the escalating health care costs in America?

Most Americans do NOT like Obamacare. What are the first three action items Congress should take in January to fix it?

Dr. Jane Orient, concerning Congress and their power of our healthcare, says: “That’s why you want to have a limited government, with limited powers. So they don’t have that much money at their disposal…Otherwise, the corruption has to come in.

Title: Trump, the MSM, and Obamacare
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Kristin Held
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

Part 1 of 2

Economist Thomas Sowell has stated, “It is amazing that people who think we cannot afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, and medication somehow think we can afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, medication, and a government bureaucracy to administer it.”

Listen in as new guest from the AAPS Dr. Kristin Held sheds some light on how left-leaning journalists are influenced by politicians, which has in turn influenced the opinion of millions of Americans concerning issues such as Obamacare. Dr. Held is also the co-founder of American Doctors 4 Truth.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Are journalists and reporters free to report the facts? Or are they controlled by the propaganda claw of who pays the salaries of the journalist and/or reporter?

With Donald Trump the President-Elect, are main-stream journalists/reporters already focused on “borking” him?

Listen in as Dr. Kristin Held discusses pre-existing conditions and how they “really” affect insurance coverage. Is it “fair” to get health insurance after you’ve been diagnosed with a debilitating disease?

What is so wrong with mandated benefits?

President-Elect Donald Trump promised repeatedly during his campaign that he would repeal Obamacare. In Dr. Held’s opinion, has Trump changed his tune?

Should Congress scratch Obamacare and start over? Or should they keep some aspects while removing others?

Are the government mandates within Obamacare beneficial or unnecessary?

What is the true number of people who are actually paying for health insurance? How many now receive Medicaid?

Title: ObamaCare Self Destructing
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Peter Pitts
with The Center for Medicine in the Public Interest (www.CMPI.org)

Part 1 of 2

In today’s economic climate, personal bankruptcy has climbed at an alarming rate. According to US bankruptcy court statistics, more than 1.5 million people file for bankruptcy every year. Most significantly, nearly 97% of bankruptcy filings are made by individuals, not by businesses.

Today, Peter Pitts, President of The Center for Medicine in the Public Interest, will be discussing how Obamacare is ruining the financial status of millions of Americans.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Will Obamacare simply implode and be replaced with something different?

Peter Pitts believes that “innovation in insurance design, medical care, pharmaceutical discovery, and personal responsibility are key components to real reform”.

Why won’t lawmakers allow a-la-cart coverage?

We were “promised” that pre-existing conditions would be covered. Has this promise been fulfilled?

Title: Better to be Poor than Rich
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Gerard Gianoli
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

When it comes to healthcare in America, being poor pays off – literally. If you are poor in America, you may struggle with many things, but healthcare won’t be on that list. But, if you are rich and live in a country with socialized medicine (like England or Canada) you may die waiting for your turn in line at the doctor’s office.

From a patient’s perspective, Dr. Gerard Gianoli agrees with the above statements. He says, “In the United States, the poorest of the poor, which are Medicaid patients, wait on average one to two weeks to get into the doctor. In Canada, it’s eighteen and a half weeks for the rich patients!” And we want more government control of healthcare?? I don’t thinks so!!

Dr. Gianoli shares the heartbreaking news that Margaret Hutchon, the former Director of the National Health Service in the UK, recently DIED in the hospital in the town where she was the former Mayor. Margaret was in need of emergency surgery, but was delayed four times over the course of ten months
and ultimately died because she never received that life-saving emergency surgery. If she can’t get the help she needs, then who can?

One wealthy person in America who might want to start researching this topic in more depth is Michael Moore, who praises Cuba and Fidel Castro. But, what did this leader do when he needed medical attention? Did he see a local doctor down the street, like other Cubans do? Nope! Listen in as Dr. Gerard Gianoli reveals where Castro went! Furthermore, leaders in Canada and other countries do the same thing.

In America, there are definitely aspects of our current healthcare system which mirror that of socialized medicine, mainly in the area of veteran affairs. Dr. Gianoli reminds us of the scandal a few years ago where forty veterans died waiting for assistance while VA officials covered it up. This happens more often that most people realize and has been for decades. Dr. Gianoli fears all Americans will face this same reality in a few short years if we continue on the path we are taking.

Dr. Gianoli also discusses more about the current healthcare law, the lies from the left, and his private practice. For more information on Dr. Gerard Gianoli, click here.

Title: The Death of Clinical Medical Science
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Gerard Gianoli
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

The government intervention of Obamacare is placing constraints on physician’s actions. These constrained medical decisions have been institutionalized via the electronic medical record (EMR), which has been mandated by the federal government. This not only squelches innovation, but has a chilling effect on physicians’ actions, preventing them from doing anything beyond the regimented government-sanctioned prescriptions.

Dr. Gerard Gianoli specializes in Neuro-otology and Skull Base Surgery. Though he is in private practice at The Ear and Balance Institute in Covington, LA, he has a worldwide reach, with patient referrals across the globe. Today, Dr. Gianoli will be explaining the EMR’s in more detail and offering some advice to listeners.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Dr. Gianoli believes that the current regulations will “squelch innovation and prevent progress”. Does the US government understand the unintended consequences of Medicare and Obamacare?

Is the new federally mandated EMR reporting system placing doctors inside a tightly controlled box, hog-tying them from using new, innovative treatments?

Is Obamacare killing the private practice of medicine in America?

From Rationed Care to Sanctioned Care, how can individuals better protect themselves while seeking excellent medical care? One option that Dr. Gianoli recommends is Christian MediShare.  He also suggests that people go to American Physician and Surgeons  to find a doctor that has opted out of Obamacare and Medicare.

Title: The Healthcare Inquisition
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. David Stevens
with Christian Medical and Dental Association www.CMDA.org

There is an effort underway to punish politically incorrect healthcare professionals.

Dr. David Stevens is the Chief Executive Officer of the Christian Medical and Dental Association, which has been in existence since 1931. Their mission is to “change hearts through healthcare”.

Dr. Stevens reveals information concerning a new regulation that has been proposed which will require healthcare professionals to provide their service to every patient, specifically to transgenders. In other words, if an obstetrician provides hormone therapy to a female who is experiencing menopause, the physician must also supply the same medication to a male who wishes to be a female, even if this practice is against their personal or religious belief. If the physician refuses, all Medicare reimbursements will be stopped.

Dr. Stevens says, “This is intentionally focused on the healthcare profession, disregarding religious liberty and professional judgment. Those that oppose it are going to be devastated in their professional lives.”

Dr. Stevens discusses several very public cases involving physicians who have been reprimanded – and fired – for expressing their personal views concerning LGBTQ issues. Listen in as Dr. Stevens gives more details of the cases and explains how they are not an isolated incidents. “There’s hardly a day that goes by that we don’t see one of our members or others that reach out to us, saying they are being told they can’t have [their own] views,” Dr. Stevens declares sadly.

NOTE: Dr. Stevens mentions Marshall Kirk’s “Overhauling Straight America”,  written in 1987, in this interview. The intent of the LGBTQ movement is to “look so nasty, that average Americans will want to disassociate themselves from such types.” This is exactly what we are experiencing now. We better get ready.

Title: Obamacare is Failing – Miserably
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Michael Hamilton
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Obamacare is failing – miserably. Since the Affordable Care Act (ACA) became law in 2010, millions of Americans have been forced to obtain a new – often inferior – health insurance plan. Health insurance premiums have risen dramatically, especially for young adults, and many health insurance companies operating in the Obamacare exchanges have lost millions of dollars. The nation’s largest health insurer, UnitedHealth Group, recently announced it is expecting losses totaling more than $500 million on its 2016 Obamacare plans.

New guest, Michael Hamilton, is the managing editor of Heath Care News  with the Heartland Institute. Michael says there are two categories of people who are feeling the real brunt of Obamacare: The average taxpaying citizen and small business owners. Michael discusses a recent survey conducted by Level Funded Health. Of the more than 2,500 small business questioned, over 85% had an increase of over 25% in their premium rates! The statistics just get worse from there. Listen in!

Now, it is one thing to have an insurance card and health coverage. But what good does it do if you can’t use it? If your doctor doesn’t accept your insurance, you have to find one who does! Many doctors are even opting out of accepting insurance all-together, especially Medicaid of Medicare. Michael Hamilton says, “The government can do three things well: protect life and liberty and property. But what we’ve seen with Obamacare…it’s done the opposite with all three of those things.” People are less free to do what they want with their money in regards to healthcare.

There is hope on the horizon, however. Michael believes it is imperative for everyone to get as many people to vote this March 1 and November 8. “Americans must continue to call out the truth about policies that are being enacted,” he warns.

Title: Americans are still NOT Using Obamacare
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Arina Grossu
with Family Research Council (www.FRC.org)

Obamacare was supposed to be Obama’s biggest accomplishment during his Presidency. Instead, it’s causing headaches for not only the people using it, but also doctors and insurance companies! Arina Grossu is the Director of the Center for Human Dignity with the Family Research Council. She reveals that the government has only enrolled 60% of the 20 Million people they expected to jump right on board with Obamacare.

More importantly, however, is this: 11 Million of the 13 Million people who have enrolled in the program require government subsidies just to be able to afford the coverage! Let that sink in a minute, folks. Reread that statement. Read it again. Who is paying for those subsidies? You Are! Listen in as Arina reveals the outrageous monetary amount which you – the taxpayer – will fork over in 2016 for these people.

Arina also discusses the huge losses insurance companies are facing. United Healthcare, for example, lost half a billion dollars due to the failure of Obamacare, and roughly twelve of the twenty-three co-ops under Obamacare have completely failed. What about the state sponsored subsidies? Those failed, too – 75% of states switched back to the federally funded ones.

This is a disgrace – an absolute and utter disgrace. If this happened to any other business, they would be bankrupt – run out of the country – disgraced – and forbidden to ever start another business again. But since this is the government we’re talking about, it’s all good – it’s okay; we’ll just try harder next time.

There is good news, though! Both the Senate and the House voted to repeal Obamacare completely. Unfortunately, President Obama said, “Nope, not gonna happen!” and took his famous pen and vetoed the repeal. Hopefully Arina and others can convince the House and the Senate to override Obama’s veto, but such an occasion is very rare. This is why we must – we must! – elect a President who will have the guts to put a stop to Obamacare.

One solution to Obamacare is the “al-a-cart” plan: consumers pick and choose what healthcare coverage they want just like car insurance. Arina agrees. “Let competition happen on its own. Let private insurance companies offer whatever they want. Let consumers choose what they want.

Title: It’s Up to Us to Save the Healthcare System
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Ben Carson

NOTE: Dr. Ben Carson is coming to the Houston and Austin areas for a book signing! First, he will be in The Woodlands on Sunday afternoon, October 18, 2015, at 2:30 at the Barnes and Nobles at the Woodlands Mall located at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive. Then, Dr. Carson will be in Austin at the Costco at 10401 Research Blvd on Monday, October 19, 2015 beginning at noon. Don’t miss your chance to meet the Presidential Candidate!

Most of us knew Obamacare was a bad idea from the very beginning. We didn’t even need to read the whole bill to know that. Now, many of those who were in love with the idea are having a change of heart. They now realize that Obamacare is simply not working.

Two years ago, Dr. Carson took President Obama to task at the National Prayer Breakfast.  He is with us today to shed some light on Obamacare and why he believes it was doomed to fail from the beginning. Dr. Carson opines, “Something of this magnitude which is negatively impacting so many people was a bad idea. And it is quite un-American.”

Dr. Carson goes on to explain the inner workings of health insurance. Just because someone has an insurance card, that doesn’t necessarily mean he has access to health care. For example, Medicaid only reimburses physicians at a rate of $0.11 (11 cents) on the dollar. If a doctor has thirty appointments slots each day, how many do you think he wants to fill with Medicaid patients? Not many. It’s not because he is greedy; it’s because he is a smart business man.

Friends, do not fret! There is still time to save our healthcare system. Dr. Carson says, “What people need to understand is Obamacare is not really about healthcare; it’s about control…Until you return (that control) to the hands of the people and the providers, you’re going to continue to have this kind of mess.” Listen in as Dr. Carson gives his three-step proposal for amending our healthcare system.

It is up to you and me to turn this around. We need to press our elected officials in Washington, DC, until they agree to do something about Obamacare. We need to fix our healthcare system – and do it quickly. Click [here]  to learn more.

Title: What does the Future of Obamacare Look Like?
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Shona Holmes
with Shona Holmes (www.ShonaHolmes.com)

Part 1 of 2

Universal healthcare in Canada isn’t really all that great. In fact, it’s really, really, really bad. They recently ranked 11th on how quickly patients actually are able to get an appointment to see their family physician. That’s 11th out of 11 OECD countries. Canada is on the bottom of the list!

Shona Holmes left Canada to come to the United States in search of better healthcare. However, if the US doesn’t do something about Obamacare, we will be in the same mess in a few years. For example, in Canada, patients are not usually allowed to or even given the opportunity to choose their own physician. Shona says, “Our family doctors, many of them don’t have any openings (for new patients). And if they do, they hold a lottery.” Listen in as she explains the “lottery patient system” in Canada. And don’t even get Shona started on the waiting period for a specialist!

Another aspect of the Universal Healthcare in Canada that people in America find confusing are the salary caps. Every physician has a certain amount of money he is allowed to make per year. Once that cap is met, he simply stops seeing patients. If that cap is hit August, he gets the rest of the year off and the patient is just out of luck!! Or a doctor might see patients only until the 20th of each month and take the rest off. Either way, if you get sick and he’s reached his cap, you are out of luck.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - What does the Future of Obamacare Look Like?
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Shona Holmes
with Shona Holmes (www.ShonaHolmes.com)

In Canada, citizens can buy insurance for their pets any time they want to. They can take their pets to the vet for a checkup any time, usually within the same week. If their pet needs emergency care, they are able to pay out of pocket for treatment if their pet insurance doesn’t cover it. They do not have that same luxury for themselves or their families. They cannot even pay for services out of pocket! This is coming to America, friends. It is coming fast and we will be caught unaware.

The Canadian Universal Healthcare system is failing miserably. Shona Holmes continues to discuss the situation in Canada and gives a dire warning to Americans about Obamacare. She does point out that people with cancer, heart conditions, and other certain life-threatening issues do get treatment more quickly than someone who needs a knee replacement.

However, the wait time for the initial testing can be quite long. “You may be so far advanced by the time you get in to see a specialist, that it’s a little bit late to start the treatment,” Shona adds. There is a specific number of tests that are allowed to be performed for each illness every month. If you are number 55 on this list and they only allow 20 tests per month, you have to wait just to get tested!

Listen in as Shona reveals how many Canadians crossed the border into the United States last year for treatment! The number is astounding!

Title: Universal Healthcare Does Not End Suffering
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Shona Holmes
with Shona Holmes (www.ShonaHolmes.com)

Part 1 of 3

Obamacare was modeled after the Canadian and Great Britain universal healthcare systems. Some Americans are happy about Obamacare. I’d venture to guess, however, that the majority of listeners to the What’s UP Radio Program are NOT happy with Obamacare. In fact, they know it’s bad news for the whole country.

New guest, Shona Holmes, agrees that Obamacare is not good. In fact, for the past five years, the Canadian mother and grandmother has made it her goal to education as many people as possible concerning the real issue: Health insurance does not mean access to healthcare. Currently, Canada has the same percentage of people without family doctors – the gateway to healthcare – as Americans who are uninsured. This is not due to a lack of doctors. Listen in as Shona explains the salary cap placed on doctors and the how the government has a hand in every single aspect of the every single patient’s medical file.

FACT: To clarify physician’s salary caps… If by September, a doctor has made the maximum amount he is allowed to make in one given year, he cannot see any more patients until January. If a hospital performs so many hours of surgery and it has hit its max by November 1, everyone else must wait until January.

Tune in to the next two segments with Shona as she goes into even more detail about the Canadian healthcare system and why she fears for America.

Title: Part 2 of 3 - Universal Healthcare Does Not End Suffering
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Shona Holmes
with Shona Holmes (www.ShonaHolmes.com)

Many physicians in Canada are now holding “lotteries” or “interviews” in order to pick and choose which patients they want in the clinic. Patients who do not win the “lottery” or succeed in the “interview” process are then forced to spend hours and hours (up to 17 or 18 hours!!) in hospital ER waiting rooms! Obviously, the patients who are the healthiest are chosen first; no one wants a diabetic or cancer patient eating up all their time and money.

It is also very rare that every member of a family is able to see the same doctor. If you are have a large family, then it’s pretty much a given that every member will have a different physician. Oh…and you can forget about going in for multiple issues at the same time. Shona Holmes explains that you get “one complaint per visit” and a physical is usually only allowed once every two years – on only half of your body!

Shona also explains in further detail the hurdles hospitals face concerning surgeries, medicine, hours, and money. She tells her personal story of waiting nine weeks just to get an MRI concerning a possible brain tumor – which she did, in fact, have. That was about eight years. Now, the wait time is…… It is absolutely astonishing!! Listen in to find out how long she has to wait!

FACT: If you live in a certain province (or zip code) and have a certain type of cancer, you might not qualify for treatment. You cannot purchase the treatment or medicine on your own dime – it is illegal!

Listen to the last segment with Shona Holmes as she concludes her discussion of the issues Canadians are faced with concerning universal healthcare.

Title: Part 3 of 3 - Universal Healthcare Does Not End Suffering
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Shona Holmes
with Shona Holmes (www.ShonaHolmes.com)

Obamacare is not about ending suffering; it’s about redistributing suffering to everyone. The subsidies will run out. The people who are happy with Obamacare on those subsidies. It is doomed to fail,” Shona says. Then comes the “single-payer system”, which is even worse.

Pray that you remain healthy. Pray that you have a good doctor and can keep that doctor. Pray your kids don’t break their arm on the swing set. Pray your parents don’t require home health services or a nursing home. Pray now that Obamacare is struck down in its entirety. Pray, friends. Pray hard and pray fast.

Title: The Red Pill or the Blue Pill
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Arina Grossu
with Family Research Council (www.FRC.org)

The Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) is charged with keeping healthcare costs down. This sounds innocent enough, so why has the GOP nicknamed the IPAB “Death Panels”? And why are more Democrats switching sides every day on the Obamacare debate due to these “Death Panels”?

Arina Grossu, with the Family Research Council  explains how IPAB would “function independently without any oversight”. Furthermore, IPAB would not be required to consult doctors concerning the best plan of care or consider the wishes of the patient or their family.

FACT: The fifteen IPAB members are not elected, either by the people or Congress by a vote. They are appointed by the President. Coincidence? I think not!

Arina refers to the pending practices of IPAB as “Ration Roulette”. She says, “If they set limits because it exceeds certain amounts that they want to spend, well tough luck for you.” The IPAB isn’t concerned with you, the patient; they only want to know how much you are going to cost the government. Are you worth their money? Will you be a tax payer or tax taker?

The first step in stopping Obamacare once and for all is the removal of IPAB. The second step is stopping the medical device tax. Hopefully the fact that Obamacare centers nationwide are shutting their doors due to lack of enrollees will help push Congress over the edge.

Arina also shares a story of Barbara Wagner. She wanted chemotherapy but her insurance company said…. Listen in to hear the rest of the story!

Title: Shopping Around for Medical Care
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Gerard Gianoli
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

Free markets allow us to shop around, compare prices, and then decide where to spend our money on the products we choose. Not so with medical care. Not anymore, anyway. Obamacare has all but eliminated the freedom to look for the best deal for ourselves and our families.

Dr. Gerard Gianoli is a Neuro-otology & Skull Base Surgeon and a member of The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) Dr. Gianoli’s primary practice is with inner ear issues. However, he made an astounding discovery recently when he called around to make an appointment for his wife to receive a mammogram. He realized that oftentimes it is not only easier, it is much cheaper to NOT file a claim with the insurance company and just pay your own tab. He’s a doctor! Why would he say that? Listen in as he explains…

Dr. Gianoli points out that the only people who will lose if the Supreme Court overturns Obamacare are the insurance companies. “They are not looking out for you and your best interest,” he says. “They don’t care what the price is as long as they can tack on their profit on top of that.” Dr. Gianoli shares his solutions to the current system.

Most people are not accustomed to bartering for healthcare. In fact, most people don’t even know they can! Share this segment with all your friends and family. Someone will be glad you saved them a ton of money!!

Title: Big Price Hikes Coming for Obamacare
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Ed Haislmaier
with The Heritage Foundation (www.Heritage.org)

Part 1 of 2

Experts in the medical industry are predicting a gigantic rate increase across the board for Obamacare users. State governments still have the authority to tell insurance companies “no”, but will they really do that?

Ed Haislmaier is with the Center for Health Policy Studies with The Heritage Foundation. No one can predict with certainty what will happen in the future, but Mr. Haislmaier explains that all insurance companies increase their rates every year, not just health care companies. He says, “First, there is a lot of variation by state and by insurer….Secondly, things are worse than expected.”

Listen in as Ed explains the difference between the optimists and pessimists within the insurance industry. In the next segment, he discusses the “risk pool” and what that means for you – the consumer.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Big Price Hikes Coming for Obamacare
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Ed Haislmaier
with The Heritage Foundation (www.Heritage.org)

Ed Haislmaier is very knowledgeable on health policy. He has seen the numbers by other experts like himself, and he agrees with them: People will not be happy with the health insurance increases for the next calendar year. But what about the “risk pools”? Weren’t they supposed to make obtaining insurance easier? Ed says, “Nope.” He has three factors to back up his predictions. Listen in as he explains those factors in more detail.

There is good news and bad news regarding the much anticipated decision by the Supreme Court on Obamacare’s mandatory subsidies. Ed Haislmaier says, “The good news is that many people will be permitted to have a do-over and choose a cheaper plan {if the ruling is favorable}.” Unfortunately, Ed believes the rates will continue to rise and less people will enroll every year. “Eventually, Congress is going to need to revisit the entire thing,” he says.

FACT CHECK: Ed’s research has proven that the net change in private coverage for 2014 is only a few hundred thousand people, not millions like the government is claiming. In addition, 90% of the people added to Obamacare were enrolled in Medicaid or Medicare, so this helps nothing.

Title: The Consequences of Medicare and Medicaid
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by David Hogberg
with National Center for Public Policy Research (www.NationalCenter.org)

Part 1 of 2

Bipartisan support for a bill usually means trouble for Americans. Just look at the stimulus package and Obamacare, two of the biggest disasters in American history. Since 2003, Congress has passed – and then suspended – seventeen new rules regarding Medicaid spending.

There are unintended consequences (and some intentional ones!) when lawmakers pass a bill – any bill. It’s hard to know what the future will hold. “Congress is trying to get rid of the Sustainable Growth Rate,” explains Dr. Hogberg of new legislation concerning Medicare and Medicaid. Listen in as Dr. Hogberg explains this “Doc Fix” and discusses MIPS: Merit-based Incentive Program for the doctor. Doctors are rewarded for healthy patients but punished for sick patients. Isn’t a doctor’s job to cure sick patients?

Not every doctor will have the same mix of patients. For instance, “A doctor in New York City will have a different type of patient than, say, doctors in Manhattan, Kansas,” David believes. So, how can Congress expect to offer the exact same incentives to every doctor across the nation?

But what about the intended consequences of this bill? Could this law affect your healthcare or that of a loved one? Will your doctor just quit because they care too much about their sick patients? David Hogberg explains this in part – but listen to the second segment with him to hear more!

Title: Part 2 of 2 - The Consequences of Medicare and Medicaid
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by David Hogberg
with National Center for Public Policy Research (www.NationalCenter.org)

“The intended consequence (of MIPS) is to reward doctors for providing quality treatment. The unintended consequence is that doctors will be encouraged to only accept or see healthy patients because then they get better scores on these quality measures,” Dr. Hogberg explains of the MIPS: Merit-based Incentive Program.

Another aspect of this bill which disturbs David is the fact that it does not include the measures by which doctors are to be judged! Listen in as he explains this one.

David says the intent of this bill is to lower the cost of Medicaid. However, it will probably have the opposite effect. “The best and brightest doctors are going to avoid the sickest patients because they realize they get paid more for the healthy ones!

Please contact your Congressmen and urge them to vote against this bill, or to at least strike or remove MIPS from the bill.

Title: Alternatives to Obamacare
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by David Hogberg
with National Center for Public Policy Research (www.NationalCenter.org)

We all know that the Main Stream Media (MSM) are lying liars. They are once again spreading propaganda about the Political Right, saying the GOP has no plans to replace or replenish subsidies within Obamacare if the Supreme Court rules in favor of the plaintiff (in the case King vs. Burwell).

Well, MSM, you are wrong. Republicans and Libertarians alike have presented numerous options for the public to choose from in order to continue receiving medical coverage in exchange for Obamacare subsidies.

What is the lawsuit King vs. Burwell? Does it abolish Obamacare? Does it help Obamacare? Does it just replace some of Obamacare?

Listen in as Dr. Hogberg explains the lawsuit, the new options, and what they mean to millions of Americans. And don’t be afraid of a lot of big, fancy words! Dr. David has put it laymen’s terms so everybody can understand it! (Unlike that other large reference book (ahem Obamacare) that no one in Congress even read before they passed it.)

Quote of the day: “Obamacare took the problems that were already there and just put them on steroids.

Title: Canadians Coming Here for Health Care
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Keith Smith
with Surgery Center of Oklahoma

Canadians have government healthcare, but do they actually have access to healthcare? Dr. Keith Smith is the CEO and medical director of The Surgery Center of Oklahoma  and is a member of AAPS, the association of The American Physicians and Surgeons.  Dr. Smith says, “Canadians are traveling to Oklahoma to our facility for surgery because they can’t get it in Canada.” This speaks volumes about their quality of healthcare!

The only people who benefited from the passing of Obamacare are big insurance, big pharmaceuticals, and big hospitals. And, of course, the government. “Government officials should be required to wear NSACAR-type sponsorship jackets to show who they are really working for,” says Terry Lowry.

One of the goals of Obamacare was to increase the number of people on Medicaid. Listen in as Dr. Keith Smith discusses how the government lowered the eligibility requirements for Medicaid, but now fewer and fewer doctors accept that type of insurance! More people may have insurance now, but they can’t find a doctor to help them!

However, Dr. Keith Smith is optimistic! “The free market is pretty much the only hope for the people of America,” he says. Direct Care is an affordable alternative to Obamacare and even self-insuring. Listen in as Dr. Smith explains Direct Care and why the government is trying to ban them.

Title: The Destruction of Private Medical Practice
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Richard Amerling
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

We are hearing more and more about the failure of Obamacare. Well, maybe not in the MSM, but definitely on radio talk shows and Conservative-style news TV shows. Dr. Richard Amerling, with the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), says things are bad – really, really bad.

Today’s focus is on the Accountable Care Organizations (ACO’s). These ACO’s were created through Obamacare and are disappearing rapidly. They are comparable to HMO’s and just do not provide quality care to patients.

Dr. Amerling says that shifting Medicare contracts to ACO’s is not smart move, either. Listen in as he explains what ACO’s are and why they are so bad.

Title: Surviving Obamacare in 2015
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Jane Orient
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

Part 1 of 2

Every dollar we pay into Obamacare or our health insurance program, is a dollar for someone else. Is this really true? Dr. Jane Orient says yes!

If you try to take the money away from the people who actually like Obamacare, of course they’ll start complaining. This includes the people who assist those signing up for the exchange and the media who are paid to tout the plan. But now that people are starting to see the light and are crying about the skyrocketing costs, what will happen to Obamacare?

Some think that Obamacare will implode due to lack of funds. Dr. Jane Orient believes this is a little too optimistic. However, she does believe that it is chock-full of problems that must be addressed – and soon.

Dr. Orient has served as the Executive Director of AAPS since 1989. She explains what is meant by “Fannie Med”, a non-profit insurance co-op program which is now on the verge of bankruptcy. Surprise! Surprise! This was heavily funded by the government and now it’s broke!

Make sure you listen to the next segment with Dr. Orient as she explains these co-ops in more detail and what it means for Americans.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Surviving Obamacare in 2015
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Jane Orient
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

When the government gets involved, the tax-payers are the losers. At the end of the first segment with Dr. Jane Orient, she began describing the “Fannie Med” program and how it has flopped – big time. She continues her discussion now.

Dr. Orient talks about the penalty the IRS will impose on those who do not comply with the healthcare mandate. It’s actually less expensive to not get health insurance and just pay the fine! People who already obtained Obamacare are now fuming because of this little known fact!

Right now, many people are just not willing to give up their right to health care coverage. This is why they are still in favor of Obamacare. They still think it is helping. Why can’t they see it is harming the economy in more ways than one?

Listen in as Dr. Jane Orient explains how some elected officials are more than willing to compromise and keep Obamacare on the books. But that’s not what we voted for in November! You can find more from Dr. Orient at www.aapsonline.org

Title: Temp Services Love Obamacare
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Josh Bernstein
with Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) (www.AMAC.us)

What in the world is a “29er?” Is this a new football term? Is it someone who wishes they were younger?

Josh Bernstein, with the Association of Mature American Citizens, explains that the term “29er” is an employee who has been cut from full-time work to part-time work due to Obamacare. This, however, has given businesses which offer temporary employment services to other companies a boom.

SHOCKER: Josh says Obamacare was actually designed to force this nightmare into a reality, with the ultimate goal of a one-payer system.

We cannot rebuild America to a powerhouse in the world using only temp workers. Listen in as Josh explains why this is such a bad deal for American workers and what we must do to get away from temp work.

Title: Politicians Just Can't be Trusted with Our Money
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Alieta Eck, MD
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

It’s not fair. It’s just fair. Jesus healed someone every chance he had. Could he heal everyone, though? Mother Teresa helped as many as she could, but couldn’t save them all. Same with healthcare. Some get help; others do not. The price of healthcare in America just keeps rising and rising, despite Obamacare – or dare I say because of Obamacare.

Dr. Eck discusses some of the logistics of Obamacare that have come to light in recent weeks and months. Was an actual physician even consulted when the bill was authored? Can politicians be trusted with our money? What are some better ways to offer inexpensive, reliable healthcare to Americans other than Obamacare?

Dr. Alieta Eck is a physician whose eyes have been opened to the lies of Obamacare. She and her husband offer healthcare services to roughly 350 uninsured patients each month in New Jersey using donated funds and utilizing volunteer nurses and doctors. They do not accept any government assistance or funding. They also give food and clothing on an as-need-basis.

Dr. Eck says communities, especially churches, need to become more close-nit, caring for others. That’s the churches’ job – to care for others. To show them love. That is something she and others are doing in New Jersey.

Title: Part 2 of 3 - Hotze Fighting Obamacare in Court
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Steve Hotze
with Conservative Republican of Texas, PAC www.CRTPAC.com

Dr. Hotze has filed a lawsuit against the Federal Government in the 5th Circuit Court in New Orleans concerning Obamacare. Dr. Hotze claims that Obamacare is in direct violation of Article 1, Section 7, which is the Origination Clause of the United States Constitution. This is a real thing, people. This states that all revenue reducing bills must originate in the House of Representatives, not in the Senate.

Many experts believe that if any lawsuit stands a chance of overturning Obamacare, it’s Dr. Hotze’s. Listen in as Dr. Hotze explains what happened when the bill was first passed in the House, went to the Senate, was stripped completely of its original form and purpose, and why this could be the game-changer for the “Unaffordable Mis-Care Act”, as he likes to call it.

Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Andy Schlafly
with Phyllis Schlafly Eagles (www.PhyllisSchlafly.com)

Dr. Steven Hotze, a Houston physician, has used his own money to file suit against Obamacare. Many say it has the best chance of overturning Obamacare.

On December 2, 2014, Andy Schlafly argued before the New Orleans Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals concerning the case Hotze v. Burwell. This case argues that Obamacare violates Origination Clause, which is Article 1, Section 7 of the United States Constitution, which states that all revenue raising bills must start in the U.S. Congress. Obamacare was initiated in the U.S. Senate.

Listen in as Andy Schlafly explains the case and the three-judge panel’s reaction to the arguments from both sides. This could be a game-changer, folks! Let’s pray in earnest for a positive decision from the court!

Title: More Lies about Obamacare and the People who Created It
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Marilyn Singleton
with Dr. Marilyn Singleton (MarilynSingletonMDJD.com)

Our human nature wants to believe the best in people. Oftentimes, we realize too late that we have been duped. This is proving to be true with Obamacare.

John Gruber has been paid millions of dollars from the US government to spread the lies of Obamacare. Now, Gruber has been caught saying the American people are too stupid to understand what is going on. Not this American, Mr. Gruber! And not the majority of those who listen to the What’s UP Radio Program! (I only say “majority” because there are those on the left who listen simply to spread lies about me, but that’s for another topic another day.)

Where did the viral videos of John Gruber come from? Some of these are several years old. Why are they just now coming to light? Listen in as Dr. Marilyn Singleton explains how she was quite shocked when she started seeing stories and videos about Gruber’s nonchalant attitude during conferences and meetings. Why didn’t anyone attending ever mention his lies? Why didn’t they realize anything wrong with his statements?

This is not how our Republic should be run. Never is it ok for our leaders and their experts to lie to the American people – no matter what side of the fence you are on. But there is always hope that they will do the right thing.

Title: People Hate Obamacare
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Jane Orient
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

Part 1 of 2

It’s time for the Republicans to buck up and stick it to the man. Yep. I said it. No more Mr. and Mrs. Nice Congressperson. No more compromise. No more negotiations. No more you-give-a-little and I’ll-give-a-little. We have tried that time and time again. It never works.

Isn’t the definition of “insanity” doing something over and over again, expecting different results?

Now that the American people “know what’s in the bill”, they don’t like it. They want it gone. Not fixed – not changed – GONE. Dr. Jane Orient says the newly elected Congress must act swiftly on Obamacare. Dr. Orient says: “It may too late for some plans that have already been canceled, but it’s important to get rid of all federal mandates. This is the only way to bring some of the plans back and give the choice back to the American people.”

Finding affordable health insurance has been a difficult task for decades. So why did the federal government think it was a grand idea to tap on all the extra mandates to Obamacare? There is no need for blanket coverage for Alcoholics Anonymous, abortion drugs, maternity care, or mental illness.

Listen in as Dr. Jane Orient discusses the people’s reaction to the rising cost of health insurance under Obamacare and some possible solutions to the train wreck.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - People Hate Obamacare
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Jane Orient
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

The Republicans will be facing an uphill battle for the next two years. It is not going to be fun. It is not going to be easy. The President and his lefty buddies will be blocking them at every turn. If the Republicans want to have any hope of regaining control of the White House in 2016, they must buckle down and get rid of Obamacare once and for all. But can they?

Dr. Jane Orient has a new op-ed  detailing several issues the Republicans should demand Harry Reid and the Dems pass this lame-duck session concerning Obamacare. She says the first act needs to be repealing the mandate; people should be allowed to buy the type of insurance they want and need, not blanket coverage for everything the government thinks we need.

If you give the people a choice, they will usually choose more. They know what they want. They know what they need. They are not stupid. Americans are capable of making their own decisions. “If you put a dollar sign in front of things, people’s IQ goes up by at least 50 points,” says Dr. Jane Orient. And it’s true!

The government needs to stop restricting health savings accounts and make them tax-free. What? You didn’t know there are restrictions and you must pay taxes on those accounts?? Yep! This is absolutely unconstitutional. Medicare and Medicaid are unconstitutional, as well, but there’s nothing we can do about those at this time.

Title: Democrats Cannot be Trusted
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

The Democrats will never agree to fix, replace, or repeal Obamacare. They will never admit that Obamacare is bad for the American people. They will never tuck their tail and concede defeat. Never. They love Obamacare. They think it’s the next best thing after sliced bread and peanut butter.

Democrats cannot be trusted. Watch what they say, not what they do. “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.” This was the lie of the year. Remember when Pelosi said “We have to pass the law to know what’s in it”? That was one of my favorites.

The courts have ruled that politicians have a free pass to lie. Yep. You read that right! All politicians at any level can lie about anything without fear of prosecution. Now, that doesn’t give them the right to break the law, but they can still lie about it if they did! The current administration has lied about so many things, they can’t even keep their own lies straight anymore!

Republicans in the House have passed bill after bill after bill to replace some of the more unpleasant parts of Obamacare. Those bills have been blocked, ignored, or shot down nearly every single time by the Democrats in the Senate. Phil Kerpen discusses one of these bills, which would be major benefit to veterans of our armed forces. The House almost unanimously voted in favor of this bill (only 1 lone Democrat voted no), yet the Senate has yet to even act! Despicable.

So who exactly is just madly in love with Obamacare? Are there any people left in this category? Is there hope of repealing Obamacare or just simply fixing it? Listen in as Phil discusses this and the future of America if people keep electing these lying, no-good, dirty rotten scoundrels….I mean Democrats. Log on to www.AmericanCommitment.org.

Title: Rule #1: Do No Harm. Rule #2: Refer to Rule #1.
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Jeffrey Singer
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

How does Obamacare fair with American physicians? Mary Hopkins Consulting Group, along with the Physicians Foundation, surveyed 20,000 doctors and discovered that 46% gave Obamacare a grade of “D” or “F”. Less than 25% of doctors gave the new health care system an “A” or a “B”.

Most doctors who gave a fairly good grade were government doctors, like doctors at VA hospitals, or large corporation hospitals – ER docs, residents and interns, and rotating physicians. These people do not experience the day-to-day life of patients; they don’t develop long-term relationships and trust with their patients. In other words, they are factory line doctors – get them in and out as quickly as possible. Diagnose and send them away.

Have you been allowed to keep the same insurance company? When your insurance changed, were you able to keep the same doctor you’ve been using for years or decades? Millions of people have had their insurance canceled or changed. Many times, specialists are miles and miles away from their home. Even more often, there is only one specialist to choose from! Where are the choices, Mr. President? Where are the great, cheap insurance plans you promised, Mr. President?

Dr. Singer says, “There has been so much damage done with Obamacare. Hopefully there will be an overwhelming consensus across the spectrum to put patients in charge of their healthcare once again.

Title: Promise Maker. Promise Breaker.
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by David Hogberg
with National Center for Public Policy Research (www.NationalCenter.org)

It really shouldn’t be a surprise that Obamacare is a big mess. Pretty much everything Obama has touched has been awful, but I don’t think anyone was prepared for just how bad Obamacare has turned out to be.

Dr. David Hogberg is a Senior Fellow for Health Care Policy at the National Center for Public Policy Research. He says that one of the biggest complaints from people who signed up for Obamacare is that the new plans are far worse than what they previously had through company or private insurance. In fact, over 30% of the respondents to a recent Kaiser Family Foundation survey said the policies were “not good” or “poor”.

David decided to do his own research and what he found is just absolutely astonishing. First, he looked at the markets in ten large US cities and compared plans for 27 year old single adults and 57 year old couples. Listen in to find out the results!

In addition, Dr. Hogberg says that the ten benefits which must be covered by Obamacare are ridiculous. Not every person needs maternity coverage. Not every person need substance abuse services. Not every person needs pediatric coverage. Why can’t people pick and choose the services they want to be covered? They could before Obamacare!

If we can’t convince the puppets in DC to repeal the whole thing altogether, one solution to this big ol’ mess of Obamacare is to at least offer al-a-cart policies so 50-somethings don’t have to pay for maternity services they’ll never use and 20-somethings don’t have to pay for preventive care services they won’t need for another 20 years.

Surprise. Surprise. Surprise. The Democrats have concocted a new lie about Obamacare. I know what you’re thinking: “How could they possibly come up with something else?” Well, they have.

Phil Kerpen, President of the American Commitment, says the Democrats claim they can “fix” Obamacare. The House has passed over 40 “fixes” to the law, yet Senate Democrats have blocked every single one of them. The truth is they have no desire to fix it.

The models used to develop Obamacare are not working. Young, healthy workers are not buying Obamacare policies. Families are not buying coverage, opting to pay cash when they get sick.

Dr. David Hogberg says when the health insurance lobbyists helped write the Obamacare legislation, they knew they would lose money. They purposefully and consciously wrote in safety nets for themselves to cover future losses.

Title: 8 Ways Young People were Lied to about Obamacare
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet
with Truth For Health (www.TruthForHealth.org)

Part 1 of 3

Millennials,” the group of young people born after 1980, overwhelmingly voted in 2008 for politicians who promised “healthcare for all” and sponsored the “Affordable Care Act” (aka Obamacare). Sadly, young people took on faith the promises of an orator and did not read the text of the law before it was passed on a 100% Democrat partisan vote by politicians who didn’t read it either.

These Millennials are finding out they’ve been “had” in promises not kept. Their health insurance premiums are skyrocketing. Their mandated coverage is far broader than many healthy young people need. Their choices of doctors and hospitals are now limited.

Listen in as Dr. Elizabeth Vliet explains further.

Due to pressing financial obligations, such as high college loans and credit card debt, young people are not likely to be able to afford a policy under Obamacare. They were duped into believing coverage would cost less ( than their cell phone bill) and there would be fewer deductions.

Dr. Vliet also compares car insurance to health insurance coverage.

The Republican “repeal and replace” slogan sounds simple and appealing, but gets very complicated when you get to the next step. When Republicans in WDC use the term “repeal”, they don’t necessarily mean “repeal it all”.

There are still an awful lot of people who do not have health insurance. What options do they have, other than the OC exchange?

Obamacare excludes coverage for several state of the art cancer hospitals. Who, exactly, does this benefit?

Many people who have bought an exchange have seen their out of pocket expenses skyrocket. How high has yours gone?

Once enrolled, the government has access to your entire medical history. Why do they need this information?

There are serious security flaws with the Healthcare.gov website. How many people will have their private information stolen if a person is successful in hacking the system?

Gun owners beware: If you enroll in an exchange, the government will know if you own a gun. This is scary on so many levels, I don’t even know where to begin.

We have all read or heard about the horror stories people are facing if they decide to drop their government exchange in favor of a private company. Why is it so blasted hard to opt out or drop coverage all-together?

Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet discusses these issues and gives some helpful advice.

It is clear that Obamacare is not working for all Americans. It is time to begin crafting a free-market replacement that puts patients first, yielding results we can all be proud of. However, this will not happen by itself.

2014 is our opportunity to elect a new generation of common-sense leaders who understand that their job in Washington is to solve problems - not be part of the problem. America is the most innovative nation in history, and we must use that creative spirit to ensure that all Americans have the opportunity to live longer, healthier lives with less cost and more freedom.

We can do better than Obamacare, and by signing our national petition today, you and I can ensure that this message is received loud and clear by every elected official and candidate in 2014.

Like HMO’s, ACO’s will face very strong incentives to cherry pick the healthy and to limit access to specialty care, procedures, expensive drugs, and hospitals. These incentives are devastating to the truly ill.

The ACO is accountable to the CMS – the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services – not to the patient. The patient loses every time in a system controlled by a gatekeeper who can be rewarded for limiting services. Listen in.

For Obamacare to succeed, millions of young, healthy Americans need to buy-in and purchase health insurance. Problem, most see no reason to buy health insurance, they are young and healthy.

Young adults in California are seeing their rates which are about $92 per month now set to increase to at least $205 next year. My question to the young in America: How’s that Hope and Change working for you now?

Physicians who refuse to join one or the other and choose to act in the best interest of their patients are at risk for being terminated from hospital employment, and deselected from the ACO or EPO. Discussed by Dr. Tracy Miller
with Center for Vision and Values (www.VisionAndValues.org)

Part 1 of 3

From having babies, to receiving a new heart, health care is expensive. Eighty percent of health care is spent during the last six months of someone’s life.

Who will decide when there is no more money for your mom’s health care?

Is everyone in America (legal and illegal) entitled to the health care they want or need, no matter what, without having to wait for it, or pay for it?

Title: U.S. Constitution Does NOT Guarantee The Right To Health Care.
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Tracy Miller
with Center for Vision and Values (www.VisionAndValues.org)

Part 2 of 3

Where in the U.S. Constitution does it state that anyone and everyone within our borders has the right to receive the health care they want and/or need without waiting in line?

As long as the U.S. Government, through taxpayers, is paying for services provided under Medicare and Medicaid, does it necessarily follow that someone within the government will decide who receives what and when?

Back to the most important question: is everyone in America (legal and illegal) entitled to the health care they want or need, no matter what, without having to wait for it, or pay for it?

The sixty-four million dollar question: who is going to decide who receives what and when?

As long as the U.S. Government, through taxpayers is paying for services provided under Medicare and Medicaid, does it necessary follow that someone within the government will decide who receives what and when? Call it rationing or death-panels, and do not kid yourself, America has been practicing this for a long, long time.

Back to the most important question: is everyone in America (legal and illegal) entitled to the health care they want or need, no matter what, without have to wait for it, or pay for it?

Someone is going to decide the quantity and quality of care you receive. Will it be you and your family in consultation with your doctor? Will it be some advisory board at your hospital, some insurance gatekeeper, or, a death panel appointed by Obama?

Title: Hunger Games: HMO Style
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Keith Smith

HMO’s often hold doctors in a “gate keeper strangle hold”, making it increasingly more difficult to obtain approval for minor and simple surgeries and care treatments.

“We lost the paperwork” or “You’ll need to talk to someone else about that…” are classic delay tactics that insurance companies use when attempting to deny treatment. Dr. Keith Smith shares a story today of how this Hunger Games-style approach is becoming common place in the medical field.

Have you been meeting with any of the congressional leadership this week?  Are they shocked that THEIR leadership did this?

Up until OBamnacare the states have joined together against ObamnaCare it was kept separate. There is a trade off here. The doctor is handsomely compensated for the wellness visit, but they will not be able to treat you for anything during this visit – remember it is a “wellness test”. Limited dollars available for Medicare are consumed on the wellness tests leaving fewer dollars to treat sick people.

We are beginning to understand what is in ObamaCare. Do American Voters have ‘buyers remorse”?

Joining us now is Dr. Jane Orient, the Executive Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. They can be found at  www.aapsonline.org.

Dr. Orient’s position on Obama’s healthcare reform: “The Obama plan will increase individual health insurance costs, and if the federal government puts price controls on the premiums, the companies will simply have to go out of business. Obama makes promises, but the Plan will deliver higher costs, more hassles, fewer choices, less innovation, and less patient care.”  (Continued....)

Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Jane Orient

Dr. Orient,

1. You recently stated that the mood of your medical society was one of impassive resignation. They the medical society was making a deal with a business group to help doctors survive – and to help the society to slow the loss of disenchanted members. What do doctors see in their near future, the next two to three years?

2. Will small medical practices be able to afford the crushing new “compliance” requirements?

3. Are businesses already deciding to hire fewer workers because of the new health coverage requirements?

4. Let’s look back at the progressive organizations that pushed for the passage of ObamaCare. Are they currently taking ownership of Obamacare?

5. Let’s look at some things that we now know are in ObamaCare:

a. Federally funded abortions
b. Lots of multiculturalism
c. National servitude for doctors
d. Acceptance of death by dehydration or starvation
e. Thousands of new jobs for IRS Agents
f. Federally controlled managed-care schemes
g. Politically correct counseling and education programs

Title: PHYSICIAN WARNS OF ENSLAVEMENT BY HEALTH
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Dr. Richard Amerling
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

“You load sixteen tons, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store”

“Sixteen Tons”  who was the original artist?????

During World War II, the government imposed wage and price controls. In an effort to attract and retain workers, companies offered health insurance in lieu of wages.

These benefits were not taxable for either the employer or employee. When the war ended and controls lifted (everywhere except in New York City, where rent controls persist to this day), the tax subsidy for employer-sponsored health insurance was retained.

This explains why the majority of working Americans buy health insurance at work, at the “company store.” This accident of history underlies much of what has gone wrong with health care in America.

For more log onto www.aapsonline.org.

There are undoubtedly millions of Americans who are trapped in jobs they no longer like simply because they are worried about the consequences of changing health plans, or going without. These people have “sold their soul to the company store” and are, at least partially, enslaved.

Insurance plans, forced to lower deductibles and include pre-existing conditions, will increase demand for medical care. The combinations of an increase in medical demand and a decrease in medical supply will drive up costs, ultimately raising premiums for everyone. Medical tourism facilitators lure patients overseas for medical care based on perceived cost savings. Facilitators often mark up the price for overseas medical care by 20% to 80% and accept kickbacks from the hospitals.

If you are a legal resident alien, you will be required to obtain the same government mandated health coverage that US citizens must obtain. However, if you have been here for less than 5 years, and if your income falls below 133 % of the federal poverty level, you will not be allowed to enroll in Medicaid - as US citizens must do. Instead, you will be able to obtain highly subsidized insurance (paying a premium of, say, 10 cents on the dollar) in a health insurance exchange. What does this mean? Legal residents (who are still basically illegal aliens) will be able to obtain better quality insurance than LEGAL citizens.
