Title: The "Wage Gap" Will NEVER Be Solved Because It's NOT A Problem!
Topic: Obama's Daughters v. Sons Myth
Discussed by Carrie Lukas
with Independent Women’s Forum (www.IWF.org)
Is there a wage gap? Will it ever be solved? What was
the 72% discrepancy that was quoted in the second presidential debate? As whole,
do women who work "full-time" actually work less than men who work "full-time"?
If so, how and why?
"On many measure, women-particularly young women-are doing far better than men.
They are more educated, more optimistic and motivated about the future, and have
longer life expectancies and better health than men."
The Independent Women's Forum is a non-partisan, 501(c)(3) research and
educational institution dedicated to expanding the conservative coalition, both
by increasing the number of women who understand and value the benefits of
limited government, personal liberty, and free markets, and by countering those
who seek to ever-expand government in the name of protecting women.

Title: Is The "War On Women" The Best That President Obama Can Do?
Topic: Obama Flounders
Discussed by Carrie Lukas
with Independent Women’s Forum (www.IWF.org)
Part 1 of 2
What is the "War on Women"? Why are Democrats targeting women in the upcoming campaign and election season?
While the government's "generosity" (i.e., free birth control, etc) may look good on the surface, what are some of its repercussions? Do women really get up in the morning and pray to the G-O-V-E-R-N-M-E-N-T for FREE birth control pills?

Topic: Obama Flounders
Discussed by Carrie Lukas
with Independent Women’s Forum (www.IWF.org)
Why are Democrats ignoring those who seek reform in such programs as Medicaid and Social Security, even the President's own commissions created to study these issues?
How do Democrats think they are protecting women from a hostile work environment? Do women really just want the same things men want?

Is the Dow Jones Industrial still among the key signals for how the economy is
doing/how Americans feel the economy is doing?
Does the bright-red Drudge headline shouting about rising gas prices capture the
political punch of gas prices?

Title: Do Unions Fail Women?
Topic: Unions Fail Women
Discussed by Carrie Lukas
with Independent Women’s Forum (www.IWF.org)
Carrie Lukas, Managing Director with the Independent Women’s Forum, makes a bold statement: Unions fail women today. Do you agree?
Do unions prevent flex-time, part-time, and tele-commuters? Should unions represent these modern workers?
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, less than 12 percent of American workers now belong to a union – down from 20 percent in 1983. More than half of union workers are now government employees. So, when union bosses negotiate with elected officials, are they trading votes for higher pay and better benefits at the expense of the taxpayers? Send us your comments.

Topic: Health Care
Discussed by Carrie Lukas
with Independent Women’s Forum (www.IWF.org)
Before expanding government programs to create “universal” health insurance, policymakers should consider other countries’ experiences with similar efforts. Topic: Hooking Up
Discussed by Carrie Lukas

Who won the sexual revolution? Not young women who live in the world of "hooking up," the modern campus alternative to dating. Young women complain to us that dating has become an anachronism. Instead of chivalry and courtship, college relationships are more often nothing more than awkward drunken make-out sessions. Carrie Lukas, with the Independent Women’s Forum, www.IWF.org, encourages everyone to pray for their children and grandchildren. Terry Lowry, our host, encourages everyone to live a ‘pure life’.
