Regarding the recent SCOTUS decision on HB2, Dr. David Stevens, the
Christian Medical and Dental Association CEO, has stated: "Given the
shocking revelations of abysmal health and safety deficiencies in abortion
clinics around the country, the Court's disallowance of health and safety
requirements just protects what amounts to back-alley abortions.”
Questions/Issues Discussed:
Concerning abortion, the left loves to claim it is “safe, legal, and rare”. Is
this an accurate statement?
How much information must a surgeon give a patient before any type of surgery
(not including abortions)? Is informed consent required for liability purposes?

Do surgical and drug-induced abortions carry significant risks to the mother
which require timely and continuity of care? “Abortion is the ‘sacred cow’

be used to even control it in a reasonable way and to make sure that it is safe
for women.”
After rebuking Texas for their pro-life bill, deeming it unconstitutional,
SCOTUS also refused to rule concerning the right of a health professional (i.e.
a pharmacist) to be exempt from participating in a process that intends to kill

There is an effort underway to punish politically incorrect healthcare professionals.
Dr. David Stevens is the Chief Executive Officer of the Christian Medical and Dental Association, which has been in existence since 1931. Their mission is to “change hearts through healthcare”.
Dr. Stevens reveals information concerning a new regulation that has been proposed which will require healthcare professionals to provide their service to every patient, specifically to transgenders. In other words, if an obstetrician provides hormone therapy to a female who is experiencing menopause, the physician must also supply the same medication to a male who wishes to be a female, even if this practice is against their personal or religious belief. If the physician refuses, all Medicare reimbursements will be stopped.
Dr. Stevens says, “This is intentionally focused on the healthcare profession, disregarding religious liberty and professional judgment. Those that oppose it are going to be devastated in their professional lives.”
Dr. Stevens discusses several very public cases involving physicians who have been reprimanded – and fired – for expressing their personal views concerning LGBTQ issues. Listen in as Dr. Stevens gives more details of the cases and explains how they are not an isolated incidents. “There’s hardly a day that goes by that we don’t see one of our members or others that reach out to us, saying they are being told they can’t have [their own] views,” Dr. Stevens declares sadly.
NOTE: Dr. Stevens mentions Marshall Kirk’s “Overhauling Straight America”, written in 1987, in this interview. The intent of the LGBTQ movement is to
“look so nasty, that average Americans will want to disassociate themselves from such types.” This is exactly what we are experiencing now. We better get ready.

Few professions invoke such a sweeping array of ethical questions as
medicine. Although ethics may factor into life-and-death decisions, they can
also play a role in everyday decision-making, such as whether or not to accept a
lunch invitation from a pharmaceutical representative or ask a former patient on
a date. On many of these issues, physicians are sharply divided.
Dr. Gene Rudd, with the Christian Medical and Dental Association, discusses the
various “treats” pharama reps often dangle in front of doctors in order for them
to push their product. Doctors do not have time to research everything about
every drug that every rep gives to them; it is very tempting to accept a lunch
meeting or a weekend get-away in exchange.
Another issue which causes ethical questions to come to light is dating a
patient or former patient. Listen in as Dr. Rudd explains this dilemma and why
or why not it might or might not be acceptable. He also suggests some simple
solutions to help doctors in the process.
Did you know that six (6) U.S. states have laws permitting physician-assisted
suicide? Doctors – like much of the general public – are deeply divided over the
issue. A slim majority of doctors (54%) say they favor allowing
physician-assisted suicide. Still, a passionate minority (31%) protest that
assisted suicide violates the Hippocratic Oath. Dr. Rudd explains that most of
the physicians who are in support of physician-assisted suicide are in the
younger generation. Why?

Recently, a young woman by the name of Brittany Maynard caught
national attention. She wasn’t a big-time actress or a contestant on The Voice.
She didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize. She was simply a woman – a woman with a
terminal illness who had a “bucket list” of things she wanted to accomplish
before she ended her own life.
Some say her choice to commit suicide was courageous – heroic even. But what
kind of message do her actions send to depressed teenagers, people caring for a
disabled relative, and other terminally ill people? What is preventing them from
committing suicide – or even murder – to ease their
suffering or the suffering of a loved one?
Dr. David Stevens, CEO of the Christian Medical and Dental Association, was not
only deeply saddened to hear about her death, he was troubled by the national
coverage of her story. Yes, it is terribly sad to see someone so young to suffer
such horrible pain and anguish. But what about others who have experienced
severe medical hardships: Joni Eareckson Tada,
for example.
When do the risks outweigh the benefits when it comes to end of life care? Is
there a difference between “shutting the machine off” and suicide? What does the
Bible say about suicide? When will we draw the line when it comes to easing
someone’s suffering, such as a disabled or mentally challenged child or adult or
someone with Alzheimer’s? Will people soon be allowed to just kill their

On September 18, 2014, the Christian Medical and Dental Association
unanimously affirmed traditional marriage and adopted its Same-Sex "Marriage"
Public Policy Statement, criticizing the “radical revisionist view” which
“ignores millennia of legal and cultural affirmation” of marriage. The CMDA went
on to write that “this skewed belief is divorced from the natural and objective
elements of marriage - physical union and procreation”.
Dr. Gene Rudd is an OBGYN and the Senior Vice President of the Christian Medical
and Dental Association. Today, Dr. Rudd discusses traditional marriage and
relationships between one natural born man and one natural born woman. He also
explains why he believes the philosophy today of “do whatever feels right” will
lead to the downward spiral of our civilization. This includes the divorce rate,
not just homosexual relationships.
If same-sex marriage becomes legal in every state in America, what will be next?
Polygamy? Marrying animals? Marrying your sister? The list could go on and on.
Many people say “Oh that’ll never happen.” Well, that is exactly what they said
about same-sex marriage. Dr. Rudd says that by trying to redefine marriage, “we
are on the cusp of losing the value and true meaning of marriage”.

A federal district court has granted the Christian Medical Association and others a preliminary injunction against the Obama administration's attempts to bypass a law that prohibits federal funding of research in which human embryos are harmed or destroyed.
Royce C. Lamberth, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of
Columbia, today issued the preliminary injunction, stating, "Plaintiffs have
established that the preliminary injunction factors—the likelihood of success on
the merits, irreparable injury, the balance of hardships, and the public
interest—weigh in favor of a preliminary injunction."
This is a miracle, to have a federal judge rule this way. Give God all the Glory
and Honor. But keep on praying for America.
