Title: Seniors Opinion of the Inflation Reduction Act
Topic: The Inflation Reduction Act
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Phil Kerpen is the President of the American Commitment, an organization committed to restoring and protecting free markets, economic growth, and individual freedom. Today, Phil Kerpen discusses their latest National Survey of Older Adults concerning the Inflation Reduction Act.

Click here for more information about various campaigns the American Commitment is currently working on.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Do many seniors believe the Inflation Reduction Act personally helped them? HINT: Nope. Not at all.

One intention of the Inflation Reduction Act was to deliver Medicare drug savings for the government. Were these savings actually diverted towards unrelated spending? Phil reveals that approximately 95% of the savings have been diverted to unrelated tax subsidies and give aways for green energy companies.

How many Republicans voted for the Inflation Reduction Act?

Who do seniors say benefited from the Inflation Reduction Act? Phil discusses the specific questions they asked seniors and their answers…

Do seniors view the Inflation Reduction Act as a success or failure?

Title: POLL: Seniors Concerned Over Prescription Drug Reform
Topic: Prescription Drugs
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Part 1 of 2

Phil Kerpen is the President of the American Commitment. Today, Phil discusses a poll they conducted about new Medicare prescription drug changes after the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.

Click here for more about the American Commitment.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Do many seniors find that health insurance-related costs are impacting their quality of life? Are they equally concerned over prescription drug costs?

According to the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, Congress wants to divert any Medicare drug savings to pay for unrelated spending. Do the majority of seniors polled believe that drug savings should be passed on directly to individual seniors in Medicare? Phil reveals that 90% of seniors agree on this issue.

Why were many Congressional Republicans silent on this issue? Wasn’t this the perfect chance to show voters they truly care about them?

Do many seniors believe that cutting-edge medicines and cures to treat chronic and rare diseases will be short-changed due to Congressional-mandated price controls on medications? Phil explains how the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 will affect the Research and Development (R&D) of new prescription drugs.

Do seniors believe that the recent Medicare changes will decrease or increase their drug costs overall?

Title: Part 2 of 2 - POLL: Seniors Concerned Over Prescription Drug Reform
Topic: Prescription Drugs
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Is AARP a friend to senior citizens? Phil reveals the astronomical amount of money AARP receives from UnitedHealthcare and the close (very, very close) relationship AARP has with many (many, many) Democrat members of Congress.

AARP was the principal supporter of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. Did the majority of seniors across America also support the bill?

AARP polled their voters before the vote on the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. What results did they receive on healthcare and prescription drug related questions? Why did AARP remove the poll from their website?

According the American Commitment’s recent poll, what is the biggest concern for senior citizens regarding healthcare costs?

Have an overwhelming majority of seniors expressed concerns over AARP’s obvious desire to line its own pockets instead of truly helping seniors? Results: 95% of those polled believe that AARP should have a disclosure requirement regarding their financial relationship with UnitedHealthcare.

How is the American Commitment working with Republicans and the media to spread the truth about the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 and the rising costs of healthcare and prescription drugs for senior citizens?

Title: COVID, Mental Health, and the Future
Topic: Mental Health
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Phil Kerpen is the President of the American Commitment and the Committee to Unleash Prosperity. Today, he discusses results from a study about the long-term effects of closing the school doors during the COVID pandemic.

Click here to read the op-ed by Phil Kerpen and Stephen Moore.

Click here to donate to the American Commitment.

Click here for more information about the Committee to Unleash Prosperity.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What was the biggest policy blunder of the COVID pandemic? Phil Kerpen discusses all the negative effects of closing down public schools across the nation that, in his opinion, were a direct result of the Left wanting to embarrass President Donald Trump.

Do studies show that school closings will affect life expectancy and wealth attainment?

Do studies show that those who receive less learning during their childhood and teenage years usually have a lower economic status?

Is there any way to reverse these economic losses? Phil Kerpen is hopeful and has some suggestions on how to attain this.

Did the school closings affect the mental health of students causing anxiety and depression?

What influence did the teacher unions exert over the school closures? Phil Kerpen reminds us that medical professionals first recommended no masks, no social distancing, and no closures for kids and teens. Then – BAM! Ten days later, they made a complete 180 turn on this decision in lock-step with two major teacher unions. He goes on to discuss what happened over the next year and the outrageous restrictions placed on some schools in liberal cities and counties.

Some studies shows that as many as 250,000 students are completely unaccounted for since the 2020 school closures. Where are they? What happened to them?

Should the government ever consider closing down schools again in the future?

Title: Democrats Plan to Raid Medicare to Pay for Obamacare – Again
Topic: Medicaid
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Phil Kerpen is the President of American Commitment. Today he discusses how Democrats want to control the price of prescription drugs and take over $200 billion dollars from Medicare to pay for Obamacare premium increases.

Click here to read Phil Kerpen’s full op-ed on this topic.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Are consumers often short-changed on the rest of the story behind a 15-second commercial clip? Phil explains the back-story, reminding us that Democrats and the media are on the same team. He also reveals the sneaky trick the Democrats are pulling to force pharmaceutical companies to agree to their “plan”.

Where will the money really go – the consumer, the health insurance company, or somewhere else?

Will the Republicans in Congress sit idlily by while the Democrats pull these shenanigans? Phil offers his honest opinion and explains where the money is coming from, saying: “They’re taking money that was intended to be spent on prescription drugs for seniors and… they’re diverting it into Obamacare subsidies and green energy giveaways.”

How can Republicans convince voters that the Democrats are lying to them about this issue?

Title: Who Cares About the National Debt? I Do!
Topic: Wasteful Government Spending
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

The White House has been distributing free at-home COVID tests to households across the nation for several months, costing taxpayers nearly $2 BILLION.

America is $30 TRILLION in debt. So, what’s another $2 BILLION, right? Who cares?

I CARE!

Phil Kerpen is the President of American Commitment. Today he discusses why the government should never have intervened, giving free COVID at-home testing kits to the American people.

Click here to help American Commitment to ACTION to stop the Biden Administration’s gross overreach.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What happens when a government thinks it can distribute a consumer product more efficiently than normal retail channels?

Did the United States Post Office quickly and efficiently distribute the at-home COVID tests? Phil explains that the Department of Defense was responsible for receiving the tests, separating them for each household that ordered one, and then sending them to the USPS – and NEITHER agency was quick or efficient at any level.

The Biden Administration originally budgeted $4 BILLION for the distribution of the at-home COVID tests, but are reporting they only spent $1.275 BILLION. What happened to the rest of the money? Will we ever know?

Are the at-home COVID tests reliable and effective?

Why won’t Congress put a stop to this madness? Phil reveals that Congress approved more money for emergency aid to the New York subway system than they did on COVID treatment in total!

Title: TRUTH is Being Revealed about COVID Numbers
Topic: Coronavirus
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Can the MSM be trusted? Can the American Government be trusted?

Phil Kerpen, President of the American Commitment, recently wrote: “One reason Americans are afraid of the latest COVID wave is that we hear health experts and the media reporting hospitals filling with patients – especially children – who are testing positive…That's scary but highly misleading. Hospitalization counts artificially inflate severe health problems due to COVID. Lots of people incidentally test positive while they are in the hospital for some other reason.”

Click here for the latest news from the American Commitment.

Click here to help stop Biden’s Health Care Worker Tax Mandate.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

How many hospitalizations are really due to COVID?

The Miami Herald recently ran a story with numbers from Jackson Health, their local hospital system. How many patients were actually diagnosed and admitted to the hospital for a medical reason other than COVID? Phil reveals that hospitals around the country are not required to report the “real reason” patients are being admitted!

How accurate are COVID tests?

Phil discusses how total patients with COVID have increased, but the number of non-COVID patients has decreased. How is this possible?

Is the MSM producing fear in Americans across the country?

Has the CDC admitted that hospitalization counts are stoking unnecessary fears?

Do we know how many fully vaccinated patients are being hospitalized or diagnosed with COVID? Phil explains why people should pay attention to the total hospitalization numbers, not the COVID numbers.

Title: Should Christians Just Give Up?
Topic: Never Give Up

Part 1 of 2

Should Christians just quit?

Phil Kerpen, President of American Commitment, doesn’t believe so – IF we look at the actions of the Biden Administration. Click here to read more on this topic from Phil Kerpen.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Would it be easy for concerned citizens, especially Christians, to just give up, give in, go home, and lock the doors?

Must we persevere, keeping our eyes focused on regaining our freedoms and liberties?

Most consumers are not willing to pay even $10 per month on climate change policies. But aren’t they essentially already paying MORE than that because gas prices have increased dramatically since Biden shut down the pipeline?

Will business owners, especially small business owners, be forced to pass the buck to customers when their taxes are increased?

Will Biden and the Democrats only raise taxes on the top 1% of taxpayers?

Will the Biden/Democrat policies make us safer in our homes, on the street, and where we shop?

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Should Christians Just Give Up?
Topic: Never Give Up
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Texas is a right to work state. One of the benefits of this is workers are not forced to belong to a union. Is this freedom in jeopardy with Biden in the White House?

Phil recently wrote: “Dick Durbin seems more eager than ever to impose price controls on credit cards, which would kill most rewards programs and likely bring back annual fees. No rewards and annual fees.” What does this mean for consumers?

Is it time for the States to push back against government overreach?

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Has the federal bureaucracy delivered an accurate COVID-19 test?

Does the current test simply take too long?

Title: Is the AARP a Marketing Scam?
Topic: AARP Scam
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

The AARP has received an insanely large amount of “royalties” from UnitedHealth and its wholly-owned OptumRx pharmacy business. Their support of Obamacare is absolutely against the wishes of the majority of their clients. So, why do they continue?

As President of the American Commitment, Phil Kerpen says that the AARP has become little more than a marketing scam for its big corporate financial sponsors. He reveals more details about this sickening friendship between the AARP and the Democrats in today’s segment.

For more information on this issue, click here.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

How much money in royalties has the AARP received from UnitedHealth? Why do they receive so much money?

This one is the kicker!!! Do they claim to sell for other insurance companies, giving seniors a fair price? In reality, do they only sell UnitedHealth?

While Obamacare was being discussed, did the AARP poll its member for their opinion? What were the results?

Did the AARP receive a special carve-out due to its support of Obamacare?

Has the AARP publicly revealed how much money they receive by selling more policies for UnitedHealth? Listen as Phil Kerpen discusses an ongoing lawsuit against AARP, which alleges the company has received illegal kickbacks and commissions.

Can seniors trust AARP to negotiate on behalf of its members in regards to a replacement of Obamacare and prescription drug costs? Phil reveals even more shocking information about the lies AARP has been telling its clients.

AARP is registered as a non-profit organization. What have they done with the royalties they have received from UnitedHealth?

Phil Kerpen is the President of the American Commitment. Today, Phil will be discussing the lies surrounding Obamacare and the Democrat’s plan to outlaw private health insurance.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Who was the architect and draftsman of Obamacare? Did he know it was purposefully built on lies?

When Obama said we could keep our doctor and our insurance company, did he purposefully lie to us?

Is the Democrat replacement, known as Medicare for All, even more extreme than Obamacare?

Is there absolutely no reason to trust the same Democrats who gave us Obamacare with a replacement that is completely run by the government?

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Drug Pricing Around the World: Fair or Not?
Topic: Prescription Drugs
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Switching gears from Medicare for All to fair prescription drug pricing:

What is President Donald Trump’s new proposal for fair prescription drug prices in the US?

Why do pharmaceutical companies sell their drugs to Canada, countries in Western Europe and others for less than they sell the same drug to American consumers? Why should we be shouldering the R&D costs?

Often foreign governments told the pharmaceutical countries what price they would pay or they would simply duplicate the drug and make it themselves – in effect stealing the patent. Is this fair?

Should all the “rich” countries pay the same amount for prescription drugs?

Title: Why Do We Pay Higher Prescription Drug Prices?
Topic: Prescription Drugs
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Americans pay higher prescription drug prices than others around the world – for the same drug. Why?

Phil Kerpen, President of American Commitment, has the answer – plus solutions. You can read his article on the issue here.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Why do Americans pay higher prescription drug prices than others around the world?

A recent study by the Committee to Unleash Prosperity found that eliminating price controls in OECD countries would result in eight to 13 more drugs coming to market every year by 2030 and raise life expectancy in the United States by 1.1 to 1.6 years. Why can’t we make this happen in America? Do we WANT this to happen in America?

If pharmaceutical companies can’t recover their R&D costs, what incentive is there for spending billions to bring a new drug to market if they are NOT allowed to recover their costs? The OECD governments will NOT allow the pharmaceutical companies to recoup their R&D costs, forcing all onto the backs of Americans.

Is it “fair” that Americans pay all the R&D costs for the drugs around the world? What would be “fair”?

Listen in as he explains each point in more detail…

Questions/Issues Discussed:

How many people will see an increase in their taxes? Can these people afford the increase? HINT: Yep.

Will businesses be able to pass their tax cuts along to their customers?

When will people begin to see a difference in their paychecks?

Did the child tax credit increase significantly? Is this good or bad news?

Title: Congress MUST Do Its Job

Washington is a textbook example of the broken regulatory process which is turning democracy upside-down. Congress must do its job! Pass good bills. Stop Bad Bills. And “REIN” in out-of-control bureaucrats.

Phil Kerpen is the President of American Commitment. He will be discussing the “REINS Act”, a simple legislation that has the potential to end a long-standing dereliction of duty by our elected officials in Congress. The REINS Act would put a stop to broad, vague laws that turn the power to make the country's important policy decisions over to unelected bureaucrats. NOTE: The REINS Act is currently tabled, but Phil holds onto the hope that it will be reintroduced in the future.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Are unelected bureaucrats grinding business expansion into the ground? Listen in as Phil Kerpen explains the voting process. It will blow your mind.

Does Congress, our elected officials, pass the ball to unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats by passing bills which are vague? In return, do the bureaucrats (through the regulatory process) expand and balloon their power?

What has President Obama communicated to the public about the PGWD?

How did Obama get this “document” sanctioned without Senate approval? Phil Kerpen calls it a “charade”.

Hillary plotted and schemed during Bill’s xxx-rated tenure in the oval office. She drooled over subjecting Americans to Government-controlled, government-run healthcare. Now, she wants the voters to put her in charge of resuscitating Obamacare. I, for one, do not want to witness this. Phil Kerpen, with the American Commitment, doesn’t want to see this happen, either.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Are the health insurance exchanges within Obamacare on life support?

Were the health insurance exchanges designed to fail?

Were the designers of Obamacare academicians or industry experts?

No Republicans voted for Obamacare, but Democrats are blaming Republicans for the collapse of Obamacare. Who’s to blame for the collapse of the health insurance exchanges?

Will more money revive the health insurance exchanges and place them on sound financial ground?

Title: We Must Put an End to Unauthorized Federal Spending
Topic: Feds and Your Money
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

The Federal Government is scheduled to spend $310 BILLION of our tax dollars on federal programs that are not even authorized by law. Read that again, friends. Does that make you mad? Well, it should!

Phil Kerpen, with American Commitment, will highlight the need to stop unauthorized federal spending in this interview today. First, he explains the difference between discretionary and mandatory funds. Some money must be spent, whether or not Congress passes a law, such as Medicaid and Social Security. Other funds are for the military. And then there is money that is just not necessary at all.

Phil also reveals that many programs have exhausted their spending limit – some are even expired – yet they keep receiving money. This is the problem. The United States is nearly $20 TRILLION in debt. We are on the verge on bankruptcy. There is no reason why we should continue to tolerate $310 BILLION on expired, unauthorized programs.

Phil Kerpen believes that many members of Congress simply just don’t want to deal with the amount of work involved with reviewing these programs, therefore they turn a blind eye. There may hope on the horizon, though. Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers from Washington States has introduced the “Unauthorized Spending Accountability Act”. Listen in as Phil explains the details of the bill and how it just might work.

The American people demand action; it’s time for Congress to buckle up, hunker down, and get it done.

Title: Double Standard Politicians
Topic: Lying Politicians
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

I absolutely, categorically refuse to do what I impose on you….or so says our elected officials in WDC. Phil Kerpen, with America Commitment, is mad. One of the biggest issues with Obamacare is the fact that our elected officials in WDC have opted themselves and their staff members out of the insurance mandate which they have imposed on the rest of the American people. How did they get around the law? Well, that’s why Phil is here today, to explain it in laymen’s terms.

First, both the House and the Senate claimed to have less than 50 employees – 45 each, to be exact. FACT: The House has 435 members. FACT: The Senate has 100 members.

As Phil puts it: “They were cheating the American public. They were committing fraud by filing false documents.” So, only 90 elected officials or staff members should have signed up under the “small business exemption”. The actual number was over 13,700.

For those thinking, “Oh, that’s ok. Each elected official has its own office, with its own employees, and its own payroll.” Nope. Wrong. What’s even more shocking is that when the signed declarations were actually able to be viewed (only after litigation and a judge’s order) all the names of the participants were blacked out! There are efforts in place to get the original documents with all signatures, but they’ve hit some brick walls. Listen in as Phil explains how the whole system works and more about the signed declarations.

Spoiler Alert: Rand Paul voted NO – against obtaining a subpoena for the signatures! Phil reveals what Rand Paul’s office said as to why he voted no! You will not believe it!

What’s UP with the Keystone XL Pipeline? It’s going to pass! No, it’s not going to pass! We’re making changes so we can start drilling! No, we’re not! One could get whiplash trying to keep up with it all!

Phil Kerpen, the President of American Commitment, explains why it is such a no-brainer for us to pass this legislation and start drilling and exporting oil and gas around the globe. First of all, it is one of the most bi-partisan bills we have seen in a long, long time. In fact, Sheila Jackson Lee and five other Texas Democrats have voted in favor of it! That’s a miracle in and of itself! But, will Obama have the guts to veto it if it passes?

There is one person that seems to be bankrolling the opposition to the pipeline: Tom Steyer. Interestingly, Steyer made his BILLIONS investing in fossil fuels abroad! Now, he is spending all his time and effort, not to mention money, opposing the very product that made him rich!

Listen in as Phil explains some of the ins and outs of the bill and what it could mean to the American economy. If we do not build the pipeline, someone else will get the oil – somehow, someway they will get it. And we will lose. Log on to www.AmericanCommitment.org

Title: Democrats Cannot be Trusted
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

The Democrats will never agree to fix, replace, or repeal Obamacare. They will never admit that Obamacare is bad for the American people. They will never tuck their tail and concede defeat. Never. They love Obamacare. They think it’s the next best thing after sliced bread and peanut butter.

Democrats cannot be trusted. Watch what they say, not what they do. “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.” This was the lie of the year. Remember when Pelosi said “We have to pass the law to know what’s in it”? That was one of my favorites.

The courts have ruled that politicians have a free pass to lie. Yep. You read that right! All politicians at any level can lie about anything without fear of prosecution. Now, that doesn’t give them the right to break the law, but they can still lie about it if they did! The current administration has lied about so many things, they can’t even keep their own lies straight anymore!

Republicans in the House have passed bill after bill after bill to replace some of the more unpleasant parts of Obamacare. Those bills have been blocked, ignored, or shot down nearly every single time by the Democrats in the Senate. Phil Kerpen discusses one of these bills, which would be major benefit to veterans of our armed forces. The House almost unanimously voted in favor of this bill (only 1 lone Democrat voted no), yet the Senate has yet to even act! Despicable.

So who exactly is just madly in love with Obamacare? Are there any people left in this category? Is there hope of repealing Obamacare or just simply fixing it? Listen in as Phil discusses this and the future of America if people keep electing these lying, no-good, dirty rotten scoundrels….I mean Democrats. Log on to www.AmericanCommitment.org.

Title: Obamacare: Repeal or Repair
Topic: Obamacare: What Next?
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Part 1 of 3

Americans cannot wait two more years for a “fix” for Obamacare. Hope and change is now misery and anger. Phil Kerpen says that if our government cannot even find a fix for the economy, we cannot expect them to fix our healthcare system. Well, at the least the current leaders can’t….

Polls are proving that the American people want a new, different method of providing affordable and reliable healthcare. They also no longer believe that it is the government’s responsibility to provide healthcare coverage for everyone. More importantly, the polls show that Americans are more distrustful of the government than ever before.

Phil Kerpen, the President of American Commitment, says that the solution is not a different government-run, universal healthcare program. Listen in to find out what Phil has to say.

Title: Part 2 of 3 - Obamacare: Repeal or Repair
Topic: Obamacare: What Next?
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Obamacare was sold to the people with a promise that everyone would have healthcare coverage. What so many heard from this statement was that every American deserved healthcare coverage. However, before Obamacare, every American – and even illegals – already had access to healthcare, especially emergency care. This has been the law of the land since the Reagan administration. Everyone, regardless of ability to pay or legal status, could receive medical care.

Yes, healthcare coverage and access to healthcare are two different things, but they are also related. Once upon a time, America had the best healthcare system in the world. But since Obamacare came into the picture, that is no longer the case.

Listen in as Phil Kerpen explains.

Title: Part 3 of 3 - Obamacare: Repeal or Repair
Topic: Obamacare: What Next?
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Allowing the government to pick the winners and the losers regarding who receives what health service is not the way to go. That is what Obamacare is all about, folks. A small group of men and women, with no healthcare expertise whatsoever, decides who is worthy and who is just flat outta luck. Oops – you’re too old for a knee replacement. Denied. Oops – you’re too young for a kidney transplant. Denied.

In this final segment with Phil Kerpen, he shares his solution to the Obamacare situation. His main goal is to see the whole thing completely repealed, although he doesn’t think that is feasible any time soon.

In the meantime, Phil says that people should be offered more options through employer provided healthcare plans, not just a one-size-fits-all plan. He also wants to see the mandates repealed – if you want it, buy it; if you don’t want it, don’t buy it.

Listen in as Phil gives more options for the American people, specifically for better quality care, not just care for all. For more information on Obamacare, log on to www.AmericanCommitment.org.

Title: Fix It. Repeal It. Or Start Over.
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Surprise. Surprise. Surprise. The Democrats have concocted a new lie about Obamacare. I know what you’re thinking: “How could they possibly come up with something else?” Well, they have.

Phil Kerpen, President of the American Commitment, says the Democrats claim they can “fix” Obamacare. The House has passed over 40 “fixes” to the law, yet Senate Democrats have blocked every single one of them. The truth is they have no desire to fix it.

Topic: Obamacare: What Next?
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Part 1 of 2

The American public is finally awakening to see the Obamacare train wreck become derailed.

On September 26, 2013, Obama stated: “Delay the law – that’s not going to happen as long as I’m President.” Yet, he has - thirteen times to be exact. Thank goodness, too! Let’s delay it indefinitely!

Listen in as Phil Kerpen, the President of the American Commitment, discusses.

Discussed by Phil Kerpen

The House recently passed a bill which would delay the individual mandate with overwhelming support. The President immediately promised to veto the bill. Then did a 180 and announced this thirteenth “delay”.

Although we are glad he keeps lying about his promise to stop the delays on Obamacare, we really wish he would get it over with and just veto the whole thing.

Title: Democrat Victory Will Crush the Youth
Topic: Minimum Wage Increase
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Part 1 of 2

Sadly, politics is all about winning votes and staying in power. One of the current issues being stressed in raising the minimum wage.

A recent study found that just 1.9 percent of all wage and salary earners make the minimum wage or less.

However, the Democrats will win in the push to increase minimum wage. The outcome will crush the young worker, the least educated, and the low skilled. The teenage unemployment rate is still over 20 percent and the unemployment rate for workers 20 to 24 is 11.6 percent.

Title: Part 2 of 2
Topic: Minimum Wage Increase
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

A recent study uncovered that an increase in minimum wage would reduce employment by more than two million jobs.

Not ironically, a journalist visited a Walmart supercenter and found very little interest among shoppers wanting to pay MORE for the items they purchased.

So why bring up the issue of raising minimum wage? Because that’s how liberal, progressive Democrats stay in power. No matter who it hurts. Not even their own base. They really are heartless and do not care for the average American.

Title: Obama to spend millions selling young Americans on Obamacare
Topic: Obamacare
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

For Obamacare to succeed, millions of young, healthy Americans need to buy-in and purchase health insurance. Problem, most see no reason to buy health insurance, they are young and healthy.

Obamacare makes insurance companies insure them should they get sick and the insurance companies have to cover any pre-existing conditions. So why spend the money?

Young adults in California are seeing their rates which are about $92 per month now set to increase to at least $205 next year. My question to the young in America: How’s that Hope and Change working for you now?

Title: Forty Percent of Our Corn Crop Used As Gasoline Additive
Topic: Ethanol
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Part 1 of 2

Because of the rising food and feedstock prices caused by the Federal Ethanol Mandate, some Republican Congressmen believe the answer in their eyes is to divert more corn from American tables.

Why? So more of it can be used as a gasoline additive called ethanol.

Congressmen Pete Olson and Joe Barton (both from Texas) now want to expand the Renewable Fuels Standard to include making ethanol from natural gas. Have they been jumping on some bed? Did they fall off and bump their heads? This makes no sense unless you are a natural gas producer and your goal is to increase the price of your product. Listen in.

Title: Part 2 of 2
Topic: Ethanol
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Last year America used forty percent of their corn crop, not for food stuffs or feedstock for cattle, but to burn in engines.

Fact: you get less miles per gallon when burning ethanol.

Fact: ethanol is NOT good for your engines, especially boat and lawn mower engines.

Now, the EPA wants to increase the ethanol level to 15%. Read your warranties…if you use gasoline with a 15% mixture, it will void nearly all warranties, leaving you to fix you engine out of your pocket. That does not sound like a good idea to me. Listen in.
