Title: Does American Need a Heart Change?
Topic: Inspirational and Motivational
Discussed by Dr. Autumn Galbreath
with Christian Medical and Dental Association www.CMDA.org
Part 1 of 3
The world we live in is broken, and people are afraid. Fear is the most insidious form of brokenness. It penetrates the very marrow of our character and changes our motivations.
Dr. Autumn Galbreath writes: “In the New Testament, there are only two ways Jesus says His followers can be identified: by their fruits (Matthew 7:15-20) and by their love (John 13:35). How well are we doing at fruit and love during these strange days?”
Questions/Issues Discussed:
Does fear push people out of their window of self-control and politeness?
In Dr. Galbreath’s opinion, is fear the underlying cause of bigotry, hatred, shaming, and judgment?
In general, do people with peace and confidence in their beliefs display hatred and judgmental attitudes toward others? Does this not only apply to the Corona lockdown, but in politics and life in general, specifically the riots?
Finding ourselves today in a society polarized by fear, how should we then live?

Is the devil still roaming seeking whom he can devour and destroy? Dr. Galbreath
says this: “It feels like today is worse, and yet there is nothing new under
the sun.”
Does God pour heaven out into the world through us?
Does He help other broken people become full and restored through us?

Questions/Issues Discussed:
How can we reflect the fruits of the Spirit and the love Jesus has for others
more visibly? “If we are expressing it [love] and they’re not feeling it
[love], and we’re the ones who know Jesus, we need to express it [love] in a
different way,” Dr. Galbreath says.
Is our tone of voice important when talking with others – especially those with
different views and beliefs?
Dr. Galbreath closes the interview with a challenge to us all: Look back in a
year (June 2021) and ask yourself: “How has my heart grown in the last 12
months?”

Title: Finding Rest
Topic: Health and Wellness
Discussed by Dr. Autumn Galbreath
with Christian Medical and Dental Association www.CMDA.org
The result of busyness is exhaustion, feeling overwhelmed, and sometimes even burnout. Jesus, whose every interaction was for the good of others, took time away from His work and His calling to rest. Even God rested after He spoke the world into being!
So, how much have YOU rested lately? Dr. Autumn Dawn Galbreath encourages you to
not only get physical rest, but spiritual rest, too. Dr. Galbreath can be found
here.
Questions/Issues Discussed:
Does Dr. Autumn Galbreath rest enough?
Does she sometimes feel guilty for resting? “We feel guilty for taking a break from doing good,” Dr. Galbreath says. “But we don’t recognize the good that rest does.”
Why do we need physical rest?
Why do we need spiritual rest?
Does God want us to schedule rest into our calendars?
Should we all reevaluate our commitments and find more time for physical rest and downtime?
Why is saying “NO” so important? Dr. Galbreath says: “I think it’s critical and empowering to remember that even though there are things for all of us that are not under our control, there are things that we can control.” That’s what we should be focusing on.
