Title: Adult Stem Cells are Working!
Topic: Stem Cell Research
Discussed by Dr. David Prentice
with Family Research Council (www.FRC.org)

Part 1 of 2

Over the last few years, there has been an explosion in numbers of patients treated with adult stem cells, as well as an increase of adult stem cell clinical trials.

Today, Dr. David Prentice discusses why the research has exploded and what advances are being made. Dr. Prentice is with the Charlotte Lozier Institute, a part of the education and research arm of the Susan B. Anthony List.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Are there increasing number of bioethical challenges with Stem Cell Research? Listen as Dr. Prentice shares some very shocking ways scientists are attempting to combine different types of stem cells.

What is the difference between adult stem cells and embryonic stem cells?

Are there any positive results from using embryonic stem cells?

Can Federal tax dollars be used for embryonic stem cell research?

How are adult stem cells obtained?

Why is umbilical cord blood so rich in adult stem cells? Are companies still accepting donations of umbilical cord blood?

Title: Adult Stem Cell Research
Topic: Stem Cell Research
Discussed by Brad Mattes
with Life Issues Institute (LifeIssues.org)

Can adult stem cells really aid stroke victims?

Brad Mattes, with Life Issues, will be discussing the importance of adult stem research. Recent studies indicate that stroke victims are experiencing dramatic improvements after just a short period of time. Remember: adult stem cells are good; embryonic stem cells are bad.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

According to a study by Stanford University’s School of Medicine, doctors recently injected donor adult stem cells into the brains of eighteen patients who had suffered a stroke at least six months prior – some even years! Within a month, all patients improved and could move!

Listen in as Brad explains more about this ground-breaking treatment and what it could mean for someone you know and love who has been affected by a stroke.

Brad also goes into more detail concerning the difference between adult and embryonic stem cells. Concerning the amazing advancements from adult stem cells, Brad says this: “It’s been a magnificent gift from God…and we can rejoice so many times over all of the victories over disease and injuries that He has given us.

Title: Semantics Help Wordsmiths be Deceivers
Topic: Stem Cell Research
Discussed by Jennifer Kimball Watson
with Culture of Life Foundation (www.CultureOfLife.org)

San Diego-based biotech company, Stemedica Cell Technologies, recently received attention for providing “adult” stem cells that treated two sports heroes. On its website the company proclaims its competence in the flourishing field of adult stem cell research, which has led some to conclude that Stemedica is only involved in research untainted by the destruction of human life.
Now, for the rest of the story…

Jennifer Kimball Watson is the Executive Director of Culture of Life Foundation.  She is also an Adjunct Professor of Bioethics at the Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, FL. Jennifer says that what Stemedica is proclaiming is “more than just a misnomer; it is a clear and blatant manipulation of what they have done.” They are, in fact, renaming adult stem cells to mean whatever they want. Jennifer goes on to explain that Stemedica is claiming stem cells from aborted babies are “adult stem cells” and this is an outright lie.

Many people gave Stemedica and other stem cell companies money – lots and lots of money. People were told they were only funding “adult stem cell research”, but now the truth has been revealed and people are rightfully upset.

Jennifer Kimball Watson is very passionate about this issue and her devotion to revealing the truth is evident in her interview today. Please share this segment on social media and via email so your friends and family can be aware of the REAL difference between embryonic and adult stem cells.

Title: Why Oppose Embryonic Stem Cell Research?
Topic: Stem Cell Research
Discussed by Rebecca Taylor
with Rebecca Taylor (www.MaryMeetsDolly.com)

Part 1 of 4

Nine months before, when you first began, you were just one little cell even smaller than the dot at the end of this sentence. Half of this cell came from your mother’s body, and the other half came from your father’s body.

What is embryonic stem cell research?

When does life begin? When does life have worth? When should we protect life?

Topic: Stem Cell Research
Discussed by Rebecca Taylor
with Rebecca Taylor (www.MaryMeetsDolly.com)

Why have millions and millions of women in America killed their babies? Do they not understand when life begins and when life has value?

When does life begin: at conception; at implantation; after the complete birth; or when the human can fully function and provide for themselves?

Why do some abortionists use the ‘partial-birth-abortion procedure’?

Title: Part 3 of 4
Topic: Stem Cell Research
Discussed by Rebecca Taylor
with Rebecca Taylor (www.MaryMeetsDolly.com)

Why is the beginning of human life such a hotly debated issue? Our guest, Rebecca Taylor, believes it is because the debate about when life begins is actually focused on the wrong question or rather questions.

It is an established biological fact for when a new human organism begins. The real debate is about whether or not human life has value?

When people say that life does not begin at conception our guest believes what they are really saying is that they do not believe that embryonic life has value and that it does not deserve to be protected.

Have millions of American women (and millions upon millions of women around the world) unknowingly killed their babies when using birth control methods that actually kill the developing baby?

Rebecca suggests that every woman discuss this with their OB/GYN.

Title: Congress Says “NO” But Appeals Court Says “YES” To Spending Taxpayer Funds To Destroy Life.
Topic: Stem Cell Research
Discussed by Dr. David Prentice

U.S. Court of Appeals in WDC rules against Congress and for the Obama Administration allowing federal taxpayer funding of embryonic stem cell research. Dr. David Prentice, with the Family Research Council, explains how investors are NOT placing funds into Embryonic Stem Cell Research – they do not see hope for a return on their investment. Whereas, research using stem cells from other non-life destroying sources is showing tremendous life-saving and life-altering results. Congress has voted NOT to allow federal taxpayer funding. A Federal Appeals Court, using ‘linguistic jujitsu’ has now ruled against Congress. For more, log onto www.FRC.org.

“All the formaldehyde in the world can’t preserve the dead and decaying hypothesis that embryonic stem cell research is the Holy Grail of cures. Embryonic stem cell research advocates need to put aside their misguided ideology and financial interests and let science pursue real cures for real patients.” -- Dr. David Stevens

The 16,000-member Christian Medical Association today heralded the news of scientists producing apparently safe, efficient and effective alternatives to human embryonic stem cells, saying that the breakthrough should help stop federal funding of obsolete, embryo-destroying research.

Title: Obama Said Yes, but Federal Court Said, “NO!” Praise God for the Miracle.
Topic: Stem Cell Research
Discussed by Dr. David Stevens
with Christian Medical and Dental Association www.CMDA.org

A federal district court has granted the Christian Medical Association and others a preliminary injunction against the Obama administration's attempts to bypass a law that prohibits federal funding of research in which human embryos are harmed or destroyed.

Royce C. Lamberth, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, today issued the preliminary injunction, stating, "Plaintiffs have established that the preliminary injunction factors—the likelihood of success on the merits, irreparable injury, the balance of hardships, and the public interest—weigh in favor of a preliminary injunction."

This is a miracle, to have a federal judge rule this way. Give God all the Glory and Honor. But keep on praying for America.

Thank you for being such faithful citizen activists. Your calls made a difference last week. The Texas House and Senate BOTH passed pro-life measures. But now, more calls are needed. HB 2081 would ban tax dollars from being used for embryonic stem cell research and HB 864 would ban human cloning.
