Title: Austin City Council to Become Trans Sanctuary Resolution
Topic: Transgender Agenda
Discussed by Mary Elizabeth Castle
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Mary Elizabeth Castle is the Director of Government Relations with Texas Values. Today she discusses the Austin City Council’s twisted transgender agenda and their blatant disregard to Texas law. She also outlines the law and whether or not the council has the authority to make the city a “trans sanctuary”.

Click here to read more from Texas Values about this important issue.

Click here for all the information about SB14, the Stop Child Gender Modification Law.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is SB14, the Stop Child Gender Modification Law? Is it a signed law in Texas?

What authority does the Texas Medical Board have? What is the penalty for doctors in Texas who break this law? Tune in later in the interview as Mary Elizabeth Castle discusses this in more detail…

Do the overwhelming majority of youth with gender identity issues grow out of those feelings as they mature? Mary Elizabeth Castle reveals that 80% disregard their gender dysphoria, saying: “That’s why it is so important that they don’t make these very permanent decisions to alter their bodies or hormone levels at such a young age.”

Have England, Sweden, and Finland realized that gender modification/mutilation is not good for children/teens?

Why did Texas Values fight so hard to pass SB14?

Can the Austin City Council really designate the city as a “Trans Sanctuary City”? Did their resolution pass?

What are the next steps that the Texas Legislature must take to ensure that SB14 is not overruled by other City Councils?

Title: Biden Betrays Women and Children
Topic: Transgender Agenda
Discussed by Mary Elizabeth Castle
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

In Joe Biden’s twisted mind, people can choose their own gender and change it whenever they want to. Now, he wants your children to be forced to adhere to his opinion.

Mary Elizabeth Castle is the Director of Government Relations with Texas Values. Today, she discusses Biden’s desire to rewrite the rules for Title IX, placing all children in harm’s way.

Click here to read the press release from Texas Values on this important issue.

Click here to watch the video series “What You Need to Know about the Rewrite of Title IX” by Texas Values.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is the purpose of the Federal Legislation “Title IX”?

Why is the Left so focused on “gender identity”? Listen closely as Mary Elizabeth Castle reveals how many “genders” people are now identifying as! It is no longer just “LGBTQ”!

What has been the result of biological males competing against females in high school and college sports?

The Texas Legislature has banned biological males from competing against females in high school and college sports. Will Biden’s new rules void the Texas Laws protecting females? Mary Elizabeth shares the good news (at least until Congress decides to make a Federal law change). She also urges parents to be vigilant and proactive NOW and continue to protect their children (especially daughters) from Biden’s grasp.

Title: Drag Queen Court Ruling: Judge Allows Sexual Performances in Front of Kids
Topic: Transgender Agenda
Discussed by Jonathan Covey
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Disclaimer: Use caution when listening to this segment around young children. Issues discussed may be upsetting or hard for little ones to understand.

On September 26, 2023, Federal Judge David Hittner out of Houston ruled that the state’s new law protecting kids from sexualized performances is an “unconstitutional restriction on speech”. Hittner further stated: “Not all people will like or condone certain performances. This is no different than a person’s opinion on certain comedy or genres of music.”

Texas Values Director of Policy Jonathan Covey disagrees wholeheartedly with Judge Hittner’s decision. Today, Jonathan gives more details about the case and what we all must do going forward to protect our kids.

Click here to read more details on this interview from Jonathan Covey.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What was the purpose and goal of SB12 the “Stop Drag Queen Shows for Kids Bill”?

Did drag queens argue before the Federal Judge that their performances are “art”?

Did drag queens argue before the Federal Judge that SB12 violated their First Amendment rights, claiming that they have the right to perform in front of minors? Jonathan explains why he believes that this case could wind up being heard by the United States Supreme Court, saying: “There is no such thing as a kid-friendly drag show.” He then gives a short law lesson on why obscenity is not protected under the First Amendment.

What are “time, place, and manner restrictions”?

How will Judge Hittner’s ruling effect SB12 before it is heard before the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals? What if the 5th Circuit rules against Judge Hittner?

The battle to protect our children is far from over. What can we do to protect them? Jonathan says: “We know that this kind of stimuli… has a detrimental effect going into teenage years and early adulthood… it increases the chances for anxiety and for depression… We have a duty as individuals to make sure kids are protected.”

Title: 88th Texas Legislature Wrap-Up
Topic: Texas Politics

As the 88th Texas Legislature comes to an end, the media, Texas residents, and business owners may have some questions about the status of new faith, family, and freedom laws in the state of Texas.

Jonathan Covey is the Director of Policy at Texas Values. Today, Jonathan discusses some of the bills that passed and didn’t pass during the most recent Texas Legislative Session. He also discusses which ones will hopefully be discussed and passed during the upcoming Special Session.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

SB14: Will minors be protected from gender modifications surgeries and puberty blockers in Texas? Jonathan explains that this new law will not take effect until September 1, 2023 BUT hospitals and doctors are already stopping treatment and surgeries, which is a HUGE win!

SB15: Will female athletes be protected from males participating in their collegiate sports programs in Texas? Will this law prohibit men “posing” as women on college teams from other states from competing against Texas teams that are all female?

SB12: Drag Queen programs are now prohibited by law to be performed in front of children in Texas. Will organizers and performers who violate this law face a Class A Misdemeanor?

HB900: What is the Reader Act? Click here for more information on this bill that protects kids from sexually explicit material in public school libraries. NOTE: The Left is attempting to include the Bible and other religious books in this law.

Did Casino Gambling and other efforts to expand gambling pass? Or is it “dead on arrival”? Why does Texas Values oppose all forms of gambling in Texas?

Property tax reduction and tougher border security laws did not pass. Has Governor Abbott placed these items on the list for the Special Session?

Topic: Transgender Agenda
Discussed by Jonathan Covey

Today, Jonathan Covey discusses Texas SB12, the “Stop Drag Queen Shows for Kids” bill. Jonathan is the Director of Policy at Texas Values.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Should children be allowed to attend sexually explicit adult performances such as drag queen shows?

What specifically does the SB12 address? Jonathan discusses the original language of the bill and how it has been altered. He also explains what the “three-prong miller test” is.

Some argue that this bill would force cheerleaders to alter their dance style performance. Is this true? Will restaurants such as Twin Peaks and Hooters be affected? Jonathan explains that some are using these claims as distractions from the true wording of the bill.

Should a parent and/or a guardian be the decision-maker in these and other situations?

What penalties would be in imposed on a parent/guardian if he/she violated the law (if passed)? What penalties would in imposed on an establishment/business if it violated the law (if passed)?

Title: UPDATE: Keeping Females Safe at Public Schools in Texas
Topic: Transgender Agenda
Discussed by Mary Elizabeth Castle
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

The Texas Association of School Boards recently released a policy guideline allowing males to use girls’ bathrooms. What will the Texas Legislature do to stop this?

Mary Elizabeth Castle is the Director of Government Relations for Texas Values and Texas Values Action, the largest statewide policy organization focusing on faith, family, and freedom in the State of Texas. Today, Mary discusses the new guidelines and what must be done to put an end to the TASB’s LGBTQ agenda.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What did the TASB guideline specifically state about males being permitted to use a female restroom in public schools?

What is HB25? Mary Elizabeth Castle explains that the law only pertains to males competing in female sports in public schools, but does not address males being banned from female restrooms and/or locker rooms.

What is the position of Texas Values in regards to males in female facilities (restrooms and locker rooms) in public schools and males competing in female UIL sporting events?

Should males who compete as females in sporting events be praised as heroes?

The Texas Legislature has convened and will be in regular session for 140 days. What are some of Texas Values’ legislative priorities? Mary Elzabeth Castle discusses protecting women’s rights in college sports, protecting children from harmful gender modification, increasing funding for pro-life pregnancy centers, and ensuring parental rights in education, including school choice.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Do Texas Children deserve protection from sexual indoctrination and radical agendas?

Who is responsible for the placement of these extremely harmful and inappropriate books in the children’s section at the Llano Public Library? Mary reveals that the books were recommended by the ultra-liberal American Library Association. NOTE: Click here to view the list of recommended books by the ALA.

Why is this case being heard in a Federal District Court instead of a State District Court?

The books that parents and grandparents want removed from the children’s section at the Llano Public Library can be compared to triple X-rated pornographic material. Would the library allow young children (or even teenagers) to easily access Penthouse or Playboy?

Did the former librarian of the Llano Public Library voluntarily remove the extremely harmful and inappropriate books from the children’s section? Mary explains that the majority of people wanted to quietly handle the situation; however, a handful of angry citizens have now sued the county in retaliation. She goes on to discuss other details of the case and why many citizens believe the books should not have been purchased with taxpayer money period.

Are parents and grandparents becoming more involved in protecting young eyes from indoctrination and exploitation by LGBTQ groups?

Why did Texas Values hold a press conference in front of the Taylor City Hall before the council meeting? Who was in attendance? Was the council room packed, making it necessary for an overflow room?

During the Taylor City Council Meeting, were members of the public allowed to testify for or against Agenda Item #13? Mary reveals that the majority of people who testified were against the agenda, with only a few in favor.

What arguments did those in favor of Agenda Item #13 give to ban Christians and churches from participating in holiday parades?

A battle has been won in Taylor, Texas. However, is the war against Christians in the public square far from over?

Today, he discusses some of the issues on the agenda for the second Texas Special Session and if the Democrats decide to do their job.

Click here for more on this from Jonathan Covey and Texas Values.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What was the outcome of the Health and Human Service Texas Senate committee meeting concerning boys in girls’ sports? Does the Senate bill include college sports, or just middle/high school sports?

What has Governor Abbott addressed concerning this issue – specifically at the college level? Why won’t he allow it to be debated?

The Texas Democrats have filed suit claiming they have a Constitutional right to boycott going to work. Does their argument hold water?

Have Texas Republicans ever left the state, refusing to work and costing tax-payers money? HINT: Nope.

One item that must be addressed and resolved during this second Special Session is redistricting. However, accomplishing this task also relies on the latest Census information, which has not been released yet. When will this be released and can an agreement be made without the Texas Democrats in office? Will a THIRD Special Session be required? How will this affect future elections?

Title: Texas Heartbeat Act Being Challenged by Planned Parenthood
Topic: Pro-Life Issues

with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Planned Parenthood and a host of other Texas pro-abortion organizations filed a lawsuit against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Texas district judges, Texas Health and Human Services, and others regarding the Texas Heartbeat Act (SB8), which prohibits abortions after the detection of the preborn baby’s heartbeat.

Jonathan Saenz, President of Texas Values, has more details about this ground-breaking, first-of-its-kind Heartbeat Act and the ridiculous lawsuit against it. Jonathan calls the bullying attempt a “baseless scare tactic with no legal footing”.

Click here for more on this from Jonathan and Texas Values.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Will SB8 hold up under judicial review?

Is SB8 a novel approach to reducing the number of abortions? Jonathan explains why he believes it is a “wise approach”.

How can a private citizen possibly know if a woman is going to get an abortion after her baby’s heartbeat has been detected? How can a private citizen possibly know if a doctor is going to perform an abortion on a baby who has a heartbeat? How can a private citizen prove that the baby has a beating heart?

Bottom Line: If the Texas Heartbeat Act stands, will it save babies?

Disclaimer: Use caution when listening to this segment around young children. Issues discussed may be upsetting or hard for little ones to understand.

A number of states across the nation have already passed laws to keep men out of women’s sports. The Fair Play Act, HB 1458 by State Rep. Valoree Swanson, seeks to protect female athletic opportunities from being hijacked by biological males.

However, HB1458 has yet to receive a hearing in the Texas House State Affairs Committee. Why???

Mary Elizabeth Castle urges everyone to email Representative Chris Paddie (the Chairman of the committee) to voice your support of HB1458 chris.paddie@house.texas.gov or call his office at (512) 463-0556.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Is this really a serious issue in public schools in Texas and across the nation? Or are people blowing it out of proportion?

Why should people call Representative Chris Paddie’s office?

Valoree Swanson’s bill has 76 coauthors, indicating enough support to pass the House. Why is Chris Paddie stalling the vote out of committee? Is he being pressured by Big Corporations?

Is it important to be polite when emailing/calling Chris Paddie’s office?

Does the Texas Heartbeat Bill have bi-partisan support?

How is the Texas Heartbeat Bill different than Heartbeat Bills in other states? Jonathon points out: “Any individual or citizen can file civil litigation if a doctor performs an abortion and hold them liable.”

Will the Texas Heartbeat Bill save the lives of unborn babies in Texas?

Will the Texas Heartbeat Bill (HB1515) pass in the Texas House?

Does Governor Greg Abbott support the Texas Heartbeat Bill?

Title: The Dems Big Push to Ban the Bible
Topic: Elections Matter
Discussed by Mary Elizabeth Castle
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Did a Republican file a bill that effectively would ban using scripture references during counseling?

Did a Republican file a bill that effectively would force property owners and religious groups to allow men access to women’s showers, locker rooms, and bathrooms and vice versa?

Did a Republican file a bill that effectively would force religious homeless shelters, colleges, and universities to allow biological men to sleep next to women in abuse shelters or dormitories?

Did a Republican file a bill that effectively would force employers to pay for sex transition surgeries, hormone blockers and enhancers, plastic surgery, and other expenses related to an employee’s gender identity or gender expression?

Topic: Texas Politics
Discussed by Jonathan Saenz
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Jonathan Saenz is the President of Texas Values. They are a well-known fixture in the Texas capital. Today, Jonathan discusses some of the issues they are focused on.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

In light of the COVID-19 lockdowns, is legislation needed to clearly protect our religious freedoms, including our freedom to meet at church with other believers?

How will this session further protect the unborn? Is the pro-life message advancing in Texas?

Will our daughters and granddaughters have to undress with boys in their locker rooms?

Will the Ban the Bible crowd force criminal penalties onto Christians who stand on the Word of God instead of perverted LGBTQ mandates?

Title: It’s OK to Say “Merry Christmas”!
Topic: Christmas
Discussed by Mary Elizabeth Castle

Every year governments try to ban references to Christmas in public schools and on public property. Many stories and questions regarding such restrictions reach the desk of Texas Values team members during the Christmas season.

Mary Elizbeth Castle is a Policy Advisor for Texas Values. Today she discusses their “Merry Christmas Project”.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Can students be banned from passing out candy cane pens with a Christmas message?br />
CCan students be told not to use the words “Merry Christmas” in letters to our troops and/or in papers they write for school?

WORK RULES: Are people allowed to say “Merry Christmas” at work? This gets a little tricky. Listen in as Mary Elizabeth offers more details.

SHOPPING RULES: Is it okay to wear a Christmas shirt expressing “Jesus is the Reason for the Season”?

What First Amendment Rights are explained in the “Merry Christmas Texas Project"?

Title: A HUGE Win for Families in Texas
Topic: Transgender Agenda
Discussed by Jonathan Covey
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Recently a Tarrant County, Texas judge granted an emergency order ruling that Carroll ISD likely violated the Texas Open Meetings Act (TOMA) by assembling a quorum and conducting secret deliberations contrary to TOMA notice provisions to advance the controversial and divisive Cultural Competence Action Plan (CCAP) which promotes radical LGBT agendas and policies.

Jonathon Covey, the Director for Policy at Texas Values, has more details about the GREAT news. Click here  to read more.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Would most parents of public-school children be appalled, shocked, and outraged if they knew the details of what is being taught their children in regards to sex and LGBTQ issues?

Are these controversial sexual and LGBTQ issues being pushed in nearly every school district across Texas?

Is the curriculum designed to encourage kids/teens to explore sex at an early age? Jonathon says that it’s even designed to alienate Christians. Listen as he explains…

What is so controversial and divisive about the Cultural Competence Action Plan?

Why did a Fort Worth area Judge grant an emergency order against Carroll ISD in its push to implement the Cultural Competence Action Plan?

Why is Texas Values interested in this case?

What can parents do to ensure the safety of their kids against radical sex and LGBTQ curriculum?

Title: Contact Tracing at Church
Topic: Contact Tracing
Discussed by Jonathan Saenz
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Disclaimer: Please do not construe any statement made during this interview as legal advice. Always consult your attorney for advice on this and other legal issues.

Texas Values President Jonathan Saenz has dedicated over two decades of his life fighting to preserve and advance a culture of family values in the state of Texas.

Today, he discusses a topic on many Christian’s minds: Will my church turn my name into the CDC because I attended a church service?

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is “contact tracing”?

Is contact tracing necessary in dealing with infectious diseases?

Are businesses required to comply with the CDC if they are asked to produce a list of people who have visited their business?

Will churches be required to comply with the CDC if they are asked to produce a list of people who have attended their church?

Are church attendees protected by privacy/confidentiality laws? In other words, can a church attendee tell their church: “Do not give my name to the CDC”?

Title: The “Merry Christmas Texas” Project
Topic: Merry Christmas
Discussed by Jonathan Saenz
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

It is sad that the war on Christmas has necessitated a “Merry Christmas Texas Project” but that’s where we are today. Jonathan Saenz, the President of Texas Values, has more details about State Representative Dwayne Bohac’s HB308, a one-page law passed in 2013.

Christmas has been recognized as a federal holiday by the United States since the 1870s. Landmark U.S. Supreme Court cases have made it clear that such expressions and displays are permissible. Since the passage of the Merry Christmas Law, Texas Values has helped defeat efforts across the state to attack Christmas.

We hope the Merry Christmas Texas Project means less Texas school districts are naughty, and more are nice,” said Jonathan Saenz, president of Texas Values.

Title: News & Views I cannot Show on the Playground
Topic: Views I cannot Show on the Playground
Discussed by David Walls
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Part 1 of 3

Disclaimer: Use caution when listening to this segment around young children. Issues discussed may be upsetting or hard for little ones to understand.

Austin ISD has adopted a horrific, graphic, disgusting sex education program. Many, many parents are appalled and are protesting the material.

Even if you don’t live in Austin ISD, you MUST pay attention to these segments. The homosexual agenda is alive in each and every public school district in Texas.

David Walls, Vice President of Texas Values, has more details.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Could the same sex education material being distributed to Austin ISD school-age children be handed out by parents on the playground?

Why did David and other leaders copy images from the material to distribute to parents?

NOTE: The curriculum is over 1,100 pages long!!! Why? Is this to discourage parents from reading all the material before it is given to their children?

How long does it take to inculcate children in sex education?

How many Austin ISD school board members voted in favor of this radical sex education material?

David Wells doesn’t believe that any of the board members even read the material. “This is weaponizing education that is in direct conflict of most parents and families.,” David says. Listen as he explains why…

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Was the sex education material being changed during the vote?

Does the Austin ISD material introduce sexual orientation and gender identity concepts to children as young as 3rd grade?

Does the curriculum have role-play scenarios of a “young girl/adult sexual relationship”?

We will not mention the Canadian website that the curriculum encourages children/teens to visit. (Listen to the segments for the name.) Does this website also offer information to children/teens on how to obtain an abortion without notifying their parents?

Do 5th graders need to know how to buy and use a condom?

Title: The Transgender Debate: Are Children Too Young?
Topic: Transgender Agenda
Discussed by Mary Elizabeth Castle
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Part 1 of 2

You have probably heard about James Younger, the 7-year-old boy whose mother wants him to chemically castrate him in order so she can have a “daughter”. The father, who is divorced from the child’s mother, absolutely objects to this medical procedure. Thank goodness, the Judge has ruled BOTH parents must agree to all medical procedures, and the Texas Attorney General’s Office has intervened, as well.

Mary Elizabeth Castle is a Policy Advisor for Texas Values. She says: “Children should not be forced to undergo life-altering and dangerous gender transitions. This is a victory for parental rights and common sense.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Can a 7-year-old sign a marriage certificate, have an abortion, sign a binding contract, or direct a doctor to perform a tonsillectomy?

Why is it important to know that James’ mom and dad are divorced? Does it matter if one, or both of the parents, may be homosexual?

Did the parents opt for a Judge or jury trial? Was the mom or dad asking for full custody?

What was the jury decision? Why did the Judge intervene?

Why did the mom think her son wanted to be girl? Did she backtrack on her original statement about the situation?

The ACLU is at it again, trying to convince the Supreme Court that employers have no legal right to form their own business standards.

Jonathan Saenz, with Texas Values, has details about the case.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is this case, Harris Funeral Homes v. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), all about?

Side Note: Was the EEOC rewriting laws without legislative approval during the Obama Administrative? Is President Trump stopping this abuse of power?

Will the Supreme Court’s decision in this case have far-reaching consequences nationwide in the employment world, as well as amateur and professional sporting?

Will the Supreme Court’s decision in this case force employers and schools nationwide to open locker rooms, restrooms, and showers to men who claim a female identity?

Title: Drag Queen Story Hour
Topic: Transgender Agenda
Discussed by Jonathan Saenz
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Disclaimer: Use caution when listening to this segment around young children. Issues discussed may be upsetting or hard for little ones to understand.

Drag Queen Story Time is typically a hyper-sexualized event marketed and used to entice young children, ages 3-5, where a man dressed as a woman reads stories which promote exploring topics of sexuality and transgender issues. Many of the readers also perform at homosexual adult venues. Some of the readers have even been known to hold the children in their laps during the event. In Houston, two of the volunteers were convicted of sexual abuse against minors.

Jonathan Saenz, with Texas Values, obviously has some major concerns over these Drag Queen Story Hours. What are you thoughts? Send us comments here.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Why are those with a Christ/Biblical centered worldview often called “haters”?

Are parents and grandparents commanded to protect children in their care from sexual predators?

Is society today elevating evil to a status of good?

What is the danger in allowing Drag Queens access to read to and to physically touch children during Story Time in public libraries?

Are parents just unaware that these type of events are going on? Or are they turning a blind eye in the name of “tolerance”?

Title: UPDATE: The Dems’ Push to Ban the Bible
Topic: Criminalize Actions of Christians
Discussed by Jonathan Saenz
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Left-wing legislators have formed Texas' first "LGBTQ Caucus" promising a "transformative" and "strategic" agenda. This includes proposed laws that would attack people of faith so aggressively, we can legitimately describe them as “Ban the Bible” bills.

Jonathan Saenz, the President of Texas Values, has an important update for us today. Pay close attention!

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is the goal of Texas’ first LGBTQ Caucus?

Are they really trying to “Ban the Bible”? Is this literal or figurative?

Would Christian counselors be punished for simply having a Bible visible in their office?

Depending on where their church service is held, would some pastors be punished for preaching about certain sins, such as homosexuality? This is a loaded question with a complicated answer. Listen close!

Do they want to remove the words "Mother" and "Father" from Texas birth certificates?

Is the homosexual agenda becoming out of control?

Would Christians in Texas who do not comply face fines, jail time, or other criminal charges?

March 13, 2019 is “Faith and Family Day” at the Texas Capitol. Make plans to attend with your family! More information can be found here.

Topic: Christians Have Rights

Finally – a victory for a Christian baker! Jonathan Saenz is the President of Texas Values. He is excited over the recent 7-2 decision by the SCOTUS. Is there finally hope for the Christian business owner in America!

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Who is Jack Phillips and what did he do to warrant a lawsuit against him?

Did the Supreme Court rule “somewhat” in Jack Phillips favor?

Should Jack’s attorney’s fees to be reimbursed?

Did the ruling state ALL bakers, florists, photographers, and wedding venues can refuse to serve homosexual weddings? Listen as Jonathan Saenz offers his personal opinion on this question…

Who stopped the advancement of the pro-family Conservative legislation in Texas during the last Legislative Session? HINT: It was Sarah Davis!

What can we do to ensure Texas continues to protect Christian values?

Title: Parker Loses – Taxpayers Win
Topic: Homosexual Agenda
Discussed by Jonathan Saenz
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

In a major victory for Texas Values and Houston taxpayers, a federal judge has once again rejected the City of Houston’s efforts to transfer a lawsuit over the illegal benefits it provides to same-sex couples into federal court.

Jonathon Saenz and Texas Values are representing the taxpayers of Houston for FREE on this case. If you would like to make a tax deductible donation for this case, click here.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Former Houston Mayor Annise Parker attempted to pull the wool over taxpayer’s eyes and allow same-sex couples to receive the same benefits as legally married couples. Would this cost tax-payers money?

When the taxpayers discovered this, what did they demand?

How many times has the City of Houston lost this court battle since 2013?

Is the City of Houston wasting taxpayer funds in their efforts to win this case? NOTE: The last judge has ruled that the COH must pay the defendant’s court fees! When will they stop?

What is an “amicus brief”? How many people have filed one or signed one on behalf of the Houston taxpayers?

Jonathon Saenz has been verbally attacked on many occasions for his beliefs. Will he ever stop fighting for the rights of Bible-believing Christians?

Dr. Levatino, a former abortionist, recently described dismemberment abortion as an “absolutely brutal procedure where a human being torn to pieces.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is fetal dismemberment and why was it outlawed in Texas? Jonathon is very graphic in his response, so use caution.

Are abortion supporters suing the state of Texas to ALLOW this horrible practice to become law once again?

In states where fetal dismemberment is permitted, do women specifically request a different procedure?

Are former abortionists ideal spokespeople for the Pro-Life movement?

Has SB8 been instrumental in drastically reducing the number of abortions in Texas over the last few years?

Are Pro-Lifers too radical concerning this issue?

Title: Where Have All the Republicans Gone?
Topic: Transgender Agenda
Discussed by Jonathan Saenz
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Disclaimer: Use caution when listening to this segment around young children. Issues discussed might be upsetting or hard for little ones to understand.

While we were all distracted by the killing of a gorilla in order to save a young boy’s life, Congress was doing the unthinkable – again. Last week, over 40 Republicans in the U.S. House joined with Democrats to allow the passage of a dangerous amendment from Rep. Sean Maloney (D-NY) to an appropriations bill. The amendment would place into law President Obama's radical LGBT agenda and punish those who try to exercise their religious freedom. Thank goodness only one lone Texas Republican – Rep. Will Hurd (CD 23 - San Antonio) – voted IN FAVOR of the Maloney Amendment.

Jonathan Saenz is an attorney and President of Texas Values. He is here today to discuss the seriousness of the Maloney Amendment.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What does “gender identification” mean and why has it become a “class classification”?

What should Christians do this November? Should we vote? Stay home? Vote third party? This is a tough, tough decision and Jonathan Saenz has some suggestions. One resource is the Texas Values Free Voter’s Guide website.

The LGBTQ agenda is attempting to force communities to implement “all sex bathrooms” through different legislation. The latest city in Texas is Mesquite. Listen in as Jonathan gives details about this case; it’s not just about the bathroom anymore.

How did we get here? Can we reverse it?

Title: What Will be the End to this Game?
Topic: Marriage and the Church
Discussed by Jonathan Saenz
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Now that the Supreme Court has issued its ruling in favor of same-sex marriage, the left says it’s time for us Conservative Christians to just get over it. Move on because, after all, it’s a non-issue, they say. Well, no. We won’t “move on” and we most certainly will not just “get over it”.

The left doesn’t want equality; they want superiority. But that is never gonna happen. They started it and we plan to finish it – and finish it strong – in support of traditional marriage as God intended it to be. We haven’t backed down during the last 42 years since Roe vs Wade. We haven’t stopped fighting the murder of millions upon millions of innocent babies just because we’ve lost a few battles here and there. What makes them think we’ll just give up now?

Jonathan Saenz is a Christian attorney. He says, “It’s not only a hollow argument, it’s very presumptuous and intolerant…When you shut Americans out of the system, they will respond vigorously.” He goes on to discuss why it’s so important that government employees continue to have the right to work in a peaceful, non-threatening environment where they can make decision based on their religious convictions. This is America and the 1st Amendment still stands. The Supreme Court decision does not change that fact.

We’re seeing the true colors of the homosexual advocates and it’s not the rainbow flag,” Jonathan points out. It’s the color of intolerance and restricting religious freedom. The homosexual mafia has been crying for decades about their 1st Amendment rights being trampled on. Now that they have won a small victory, they want to strip away the 1st Amendment rights from everyone who doesn’t agree with them. So, in reality, they have created more conflict!

Title: Faith, Family, and Freedom
Topic: Same-Sex Marriage and the Church
Discussed by Jonathan Saenz
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

Disclaimer: Use caution when listening to this segment around young children. Issues discussed might be upsetting or hard for little ones to understand.

Texas – where we stand for faith in God, family, and freedom to worship and to practice our religious faith at church, at home, and in the market place. Jonathon Saenz, President of Texas Values, discusses HB3567, filed by Representative Scott Sanford (R-McKinney). HB3567 protects the religious freedom rights of pastors, clergy, and churches in Texas relating to marriage. HB3567 makes also ensures that the government cannot use civil or criminal action as a means of punishment on this issue.

There is a lot of alarm across the state of Texas and the nation concerning same-sex marriage. We’ve seen the government force business owners to provide their service to same-sex couples against their religious beliefs. We’ve seen the Mayor of Houston threaten to subpoena pastors’ sermons concerning the issue. Many wonder what the government will do next.

The strength of the family is the core of our religious freedom. It is very important for churches, pastors, and members to pay attention to the legislature and what bills are introduced concerning religious freedom, specifically concerning same-sex marriage. Jonathon Saenz says, “Some bills can be used as weapons against religious freedom.” He believes it is vital to stay informed and stay involved.

Plano, Texas – yes, PLANO – has done the unimaginable. They have bowed to the LGBT radicals and have passed a Peeping Tom Law, like Houston and San Antonio have recently.

Some of the issues on the LGBT Wish List from 1972: Repeal the legal restriction on the sex or number of people entering a marriage. Repeal all laws governing transvestitism and cross-dressing. Release of ALL sexual offenders incarcerated for crimes related to sexual orientation. Repeal all age of consent laws. Federal funding for all homosexual organizations and advocacy groups. Sex education in public schools should be presented by homosexuals advocating their lifestyle as the preferred way of life.

Listen in as Jonathan Saenz discusses these issues and what could happen to your community, state, and the nation if the LGBT radicals continue to be successful. And what Plano? What does the new law in Plano allow?

Topic: Merry Christmas Law
Discussed by Jonathan Saenz
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

The Merry Christmas Law has already helped one school district this Christmas season. A PTA email in Frisco ISD sought to ban a “reference to Christmas or any other religious holiday” and “no red/green or Christmas trees.” When this news arrived at the office of Texas State Rep Pat Fulton, quick action was taken to remedy the mistake.

Students, teachers, administrators, and parents have the right to say “Merry Christmas” and to use what decorations they want to. In case questions should arise, download a summary of the law to have on hand at www.MerryChristmasTexas.com.

Title: There Is Unity In the Church. Why?
Topic: No River Walk For Christians
Discussed by Jonathan Saenz
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

The Mayor and City Council members of San Antonio want to open up the women’s public bathrooms to perverts – and businesses!

San Antonio is the seventh largest city in America and it is now ruled by the wishes of the radical homosexual movement.

It may be too late to stop the push to further legitimize their deviant behavior, but we do not have to spend our money in San Antonio.

Religious freedom is under attack by the Mayor of San Antonio and his cronies on the City Council.

No matter what happens, I urge all Christians to stop walking the River Walk in San Antonio.

In addition, the Texas Republican Party should not return to San Antonio for its State Convention until at least 2100.

Texas Values President Jonathan Saenz States: “This proposed ordinance [by the City Council of San Antonio] contains some of the most blatant and unprecedented violations of the religious freedom of Texans that I have ever seen.

He further states: “Any form of this ordinance is a major threat to the religious liberty of everyone in San Antonio.

The proposal would ban anyone that holds traditional views of sexuality from being involved in city government or performing a city contract. Listen in.

Title: Good vs. Evil: For All To See
Topic: Good vs. Evil Exposed
Discussed by Jonathan Saenz
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

We may never know the entire inventory of the backpacks carried by the protesters. But one thing is perfectly clear: good vs. evil was on display for all to witness.

During the Holocaust, one church was near the railroad tracks. As the train would come by during church services, to mask the screams of Jews on their way to the death-camps, those inside the church ‘just sang louder’.

Never forget what happened in Austin recently during the passage of the Pro-Life bill. Evil was on display for all to see and to witness. What are you doing to save one more life?

Title: THE “THEORY” OF EVOLUTION A Best of Segment
Topic: Evolution
Discussed by Jonathan Saenz
with Texas Values (TxValues.org)

20 years ago, a Texas Democrat introduced a law concerning “theories” taught in the public education system. This law states that all the strengths and weaknesses of a “theory” must be taught to students. This year, many people – aka Liberal Democrats – wish to remove this law. Why? Because they want to teach our children that evolution is a fact! Guest Jonathon Saenz is the Director of Legislative Affairs at the Free Market Foundation. Log onto www.freemarket.org for more.

Texas law requires in-person parental consent for body piercing on a minor. Mom or dad must also accompany a minor into a tanning salon and stay in the place of business during the tanning session.
