Title: Medicaid Expansion: A Disaster for Texans
Topic: Medicare for All Boondoggle
Discussed by David Balat
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

Part 1 of 2

Nearly half of the Texas budget goes to spending for healthcare. However, at a time when Texas officials are talking about trimming the state’s budget to deal with serious revenue shortfalls, one medical organization is instead pushing the state to expand Medicaid via the Affordable Care Act.

David Balat, with the Texas Public Policy Foundation, writes that expanding Medicaid is the “wrong prescription for what ails America’s health care safety net for the poor. Instead of expanding Medicaid’s reach, let’s broaden its scope.” As the Director of TPPF’s Right on Healthcare initiative, David has experience across the healthcare spectrum with special expertise in healthcare finance.

More on this topic can be found here.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

How has the COVID-19 economic shut-down effected revenue streams flowing into Texas government coffers?

Will the projected shortfall effect the dollars available for Medicaid expenditures? David reminds us that the money doesn’t necessarily go to health “care”; it goes to health “insurance”.

Does having Medicaid, through a government issued Medicaid Card, equate to receiving health care?

How many people across America do not health insurance?

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Medicaid Expansion: A Disaster for Texans
Topic: Medicare for All Boondoggle
Discussed by David Balat
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Why is it so hard to get government officials to change?

Change is hard to sell. How do we get more dollars to those on Medicaid and fewer dollars to the bureaucrats pushing paper?

How can we change this narrative?

Title: Democrat President Candidates: Medicare for ALL is a Must
Topic: Medicare for All Boondoggle
Discussed by Dr. Jane Orient
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

Democrat Presidential Candidates are sparring over how to expand Medicare.  In Dr. Jane Orient’s opinion (and the professional medical opinion of others like her) the Democrats simply want “government-directed, corporate-managed care for everyone.” And this is NOT the answer.

Plus, listen to find out why Dr. Orient states we may be “looking at the possibility of a police-state tyranny”.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Do Democrat Presidential Candidates really believe that Medicare for All is an amazing proposal that will solve all our problems?

Are the members of AAPS voicing their opinion concerning this issue? What are they saying?

Are fewer and fewer people in countries like England (which has a government-controlled medical care system) going to medical school? Why?

Are many physicians in America discouraging their children and grandchildren from entering the field of medicine? Why?

What are some of the lies that Democrats say to voters about Republicans and medical care?

What services would Medicare for All cover? Does it provide service for everyone, or just certain people?

If Obamacare is officially ruled unconstitutional, what will happen?

What type of replacement for Obamacare should Republicans be pushing for?

Title: I Can’t Get No Satisfaction
Topic: Medicare for All Boondoggle
Discussed by David Balat
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger had heart surgery recently, but not in the UK, his home. Instead, he came to the US.

David Balat, the Director of the Right on Healthcare Initiative with the Texas Public Policy Foundation, says this of the proposed “Medicare for All” boondoggle: “The truth about single-payer schemes like the National Health Service or the proposed Medicare for All here in the US is that they can't deliver the timely quality of care and choice of medications each and every one of us may need.”

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is the “rest of the story” behind Mick Jagger’s heart surgery in the US? Is this a typical scenario for those seeking care in a single-payer system?

Must people living in countries with single-payer systems ration their medical care?

How does the quality of life in single-payer systems around the world compare to the quality of life in the US?

Do Texans want a single-payer system? Do Americans?

Title: The Future of Medical Care in America
Topic: Medicare for All Boondoggle
Discussed by David Balat
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

If Canada’s Medicare for All is so great, then why are so many Canadians coming to America for medical care?

David Balat is the Director of the Right on Healthcare initiative with Texas Public Policy Foundation. David is a seasoned hospital executive with more than 20 years of industry leadership and executive management experience.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Did Obama say we could keep our own doctors with the AFA? Did he also say we could keep our current insurance?

Are Democrats today wanting to replace Obamacare with a system styled after Canada’s system?

With regards to specialists and surgeries, how does the US rank compare to other developed countries?

Are many Canadians now traveling to America to receive specialty care and surgery? If so, why? Listen as David Balat explains how both Canada and England are refusing treatment for many people…

A 2015 internal audit of the VA reported 307,000 veterans may have died waiting for care. Is this a great indicator as to what will be in store for all Americans if “Medicare for All” is passed?

Is a “a la carte” policy the best option for everyone? Why do the Democrats insist on stopping this?

What is a “health reimbursement arrangement”? When will this go into effect?

Can the reality of a of single-payer systems summarized in one word: rationing?

Title: Can Money Buy You Health?
Topic: Medicare for All Boondoggle
Discussed by Dr. Jane Orient
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)

I want everyone to be healthy. I wouldn’t wish poor health on anyone. Can America, however, afford to “make” everyone healthy using tax dollars?

Dr. Jane Orient is like me: she wishes good health for everyone, but agrees American tax dollars cannot “make” it happen. Dr. Orient has been in solo private practice since 1981 and has served as Executive Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) since 1989. She is currently president of Doctors for Disaster Preparedness.

You can read Dr. Jane Orient’s op-ed here.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

This may be an odd question, but still: Is there a vaccination or shot that can “make” or “keep” a person healthy?

What is the definition of being healthy?

Can any country successfully provide Medicare for All?

Is it more cost effective and efficient to spend time and money keeping people healthy?

Do Americans really want to be told what to eat, how much to eat, what to avoid, and how much to exercise?

Can government-funded medical care really prevent diseases?

Do politicians know how to treat sick Americans?

Will Medicare for All eliminate cash-only patients? Will they be forced to purchase private medical insurance?

Are too many people uniformed on the dangers of Medicare for All?

Title: Fool Me Once, Shame on You.
Topic: Medicare for All Boondoggle
Discussed by Phil Kerpen
with American Commitment (AmericanCommitment.org)

Part 1 of 2

We all know the old Proverb: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Will the American people once again fall for the lies about free medical care?

Phil Kerpen is the President of the American Commitment. Today, Phil will be discussing the lies surrounding Obamacare and the Democrat’s plan to outlaw private health insurance.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Who was the architect and draftsman of Obamacare? Did he know it was purposefully built on lies?

When Obama said we could keep our doctor and our insurance company, did he purposefully lie to us?

Is the Democrat replacement, known as Medicare for All, even more extreme than Obamacare?

Is there absolutely no reason to trust the same Democrats who gave us Obamacare with a replacement that is completely run by the government?

Next segment: How much do YOU want to pay for prescription drugs? Why do WE pay more than other countries around the world?

Title: Is Medicare for All Worse than Obamacare?
Topic: Medicare for All Boondoggle
Discussed by Dr. Deane Waldman
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

Part 1 of 2

Many believe that Medicare for All is worse than Obamacare. Dr. Deane Waldman, with the Texas Public Policy Foundation, has the details.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Is Medicare for All timely, sufficient, and cost effective?

How is the current system failing the American people? Dr. Waldman compares the current system to cancer…

In 2018, how much money meant for the American people’s medical care went to the federal bureaucracy? In other words… how many people were denied care because paper-pushers got paid instead of medical professionals?

Will the health of all Americans improve if all are provided with taxpayer-supported health insurance?

Will access to care decline, spending rise, and taxes double?

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Is Medicare for All Worse than Obamacare?
Topic: Medicare for All Boondoggle
Discussed by Dr. Deane Waldman
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Will Medicare for All prohibit the sale of private medical insurance? Does this include employer-provided insurance?

Will patients still be allowed to pay cash for care?

Listen as Dr. Waldman explains that Medicare for All doesn’t really mean “all things are covered”… This is a slippery slope the Democrats are on, people! Listen closely!

Will Medicare for All limit consumer choice and restrict both medical facilities and treatments available to patients?

Will Medicare for All suppress doctors who “think outside the box” regarding treatment options?

Does Medicare for All take away personal responsibility?

What will happen if Medicare for All is pushed through like Obamacare was?

You can read Dr. Waldman’s report here.

You can also read his book, “Curing the Cancer in US Healthcare”, for more information.

Title: UPDATE: Medicare for All
Topic: Medicare for All Boondoggle
Discussed by David Balat
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

Is Medicare for All a deliberate effort to eliminate choice for all Americans regarding their medical insurance?

David Balat is the Director of the Right on Healthcare Initiative with Texas Public Policy Foundation. He has a broad base of experience throughout the healthcare spectrum with special expertise in healthcare finance.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Should voters allow the elites in WDC to roll Medicare, Medicaid, the VA, and all private health care policies into one large government-controlled scheme with all Americans subjected to its bureaucratic panels?

What would Medicare for All cost the taxpayers?

Who would decide who receives care under Medicare for All? Will this panel have complete control over the doctors, surgeons, and hospitals?

For many years, the number one reason for an individual or family to file for bankruptcy has been medical bills. Did Obamacare reduce this situation?

How can we provide affordable, usable medical insurance to more Texans?

Title: Medicare for All is a Boondoggle
Topic: Medicare for All Boondoggle
Discussed by Dr. Marilyn Singleton
with Dr. Marilyn Singleton (MarilynSingletonMDJD.com)

Part 1 of 2

The unveiling of the ballyhooed House of Representatives Medicare for All Act of 2019 bill will be met with chants of “equal healthcare for all! While the country will be forced into a government-run program, the limousine liberals and champagne socialists will keep their array of medical care choices — whether on or off the record.

Dr. Marilyn Singleton has the details about the Medicare for All Act of 2019 and what it means for your family.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Is “Medicare for All” a positive solution or just an ingenious slogan?

Will Medicare for All cancel out ALL private insurance policies? What will it cover?

Is there a mandate required from ALL workers?

Does the bill mention how this will be funded? HINT: No, no it does not!!

Topic: Medicare for All Boondoggle
Discussed by Dr. Marilyn Singleton
with Dr. Marilyn Singleton (MarilynSingletonMDJD.com)

Questions/Issues Discussed:

When people are surveyed about “Medicare for All”, what is their response? Do they think losing private insurance coverage is acceptable? Do they want to pay for it?

Will Medicare for All result in long lines, long waits, and less service?

Hospitals do not currently meet overhead costs from Medicare and Medicaid patients. They must recover their losses from those with private insurance or those who pay cash. How will hospitals make money? Will they be forced to reduce staff and quality of service?

Is there documented, undisputed proof that people have died while waiting for services in countries with socialized healthcare?

What is their endgame?
