Title: How Do Fossil Fuels Affect Our Every Day Lives?
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Dr. Brent Bennett
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)
More than 80% of our energy – and nearly every product we rely on
daily – comes from fossil fuels. But but but… Fossil fuels are
killing the planet, right?
Wrong!
Brent Bennett is a Policy Analyst at the Life:Empowered initiative with the
Texas Public Policy Foundation. Brent says this: “Data models used by
the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC),
traditionally a champion for fighting climate change, project that even banning
ALL U.S. greenhouse gas emissions would barely put a dent in the climate.”
Questions/Issues Discussed:
What is the the Annual Global Temperature and how is it calculated?
How do some “experts” alter the calculations to “prove” that
global warming is “killing the planet”?
How do satellites calculate temperatures across the globe? Are these 100%
accurate?
Will the temperature actually be dramatically affected over 10-20-100 years if
we completely stop using fossil fuels? Brent says it won’t be affected at all!
Listen as he explains why we don’t want to be a “frozen ice ball!”
Does Congress have any power to dictate to other countries what type of energy
they use?
Do humans do better in warm climates or colder climates?
Why have the yields from crops increased and become more readily available over
the last 100 years? Is this due to cold or warm weather?
Do elections matter when it comes to our quality of life? Brent’s response is
perfect: “I wish they mattered less!”

Title: Fossil Fuels Power Relief Efforts
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)
Hurricane relief efforts are in full force in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico.
How are those efforts being fueled? Well, fossil fuels like oil, coal, and gas of course! You can’t power a forklift, helicopter, or tanker trunks with solar panels or wind energy!
Dr. Sterling Burnett offers more details concerning this important topic today.
Not discussed in this interview: Make plans to attend the upcoming “America First Energy Conference” at the Houston Galleria JW Marriott Hotel on Thursday, November 9. Click
here for all the details.
Questions/Issues Discussed:
Do fossil fuels make society more resilient in the face of natural disasters?
Would less people have died in the Big Flood of Galveston in 1900 if they had more warning and better access to escape routes? How does this relate to fossil fuels? Listen as Dr. Burnett explains…
What powered helicopters making rooftop rescues?
What powered the Cajun Navy?
What powered the trucks and tankers that drove through high water to rescue trapped citizens and deliver supplies to those in need?
What powered the ambulances that transported the injured to hospitals?
Listen as Dr. Burnett compares the differences between the rescues in Texas and Florida to the efforts in Puerto Rico.
Can a person travel farther, faster, and with more efficiency in a gas-powered vehicle or an electric vehicle?

Title: Carbon Doesn’t Kill – Poverty Does
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Dr. Jane Orient
with Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (www.aapsonline.org)
A doctor would never prescribe a medication to a patient that would purposefully
make them ill over and over again without helping to save their life.
However,
is that what the government is essentially doing when they claim climate change
is the biggest threat to humanity?
Dr. Jane Orient is the Executive Director with the Association of American
Physicians and Surgeons. With the climate change summit currently taking place
in Paris, France, this week, Dr. Orient gives her two-cents about the issue.
“Without burning hydro carbon fuels like fossil fuels a very large portion of
the people in the world would die. If we place restrictions on these fuels on
which the world’s economy is dependent right now, people will be left mired in
poverty. You can’t grow food or even keep warm with them,” Dr. Orient says.
Furthermore, the same environmentalists who have been successful in restricting
the use of fossil fuels have also fought against the use of nuclear energy,
which is supposedly an alternative to fossil fuels. Why would they do this? Dr.
Orient says, “It’s not about power. It’s about control. If you can ration
people’s access to energy, you can control every aspect of their life.”
Listen in as Dr. Orient explains more about the left’s idea of depopulation,
Christianity, and poverty. Please educate your children on the truth. In fact,
she urges parents to become actively involved in knowing what their children are
learning in school. “Parents need to pay more attention to what their children
are being force-fed in school. They are learning anti-science,” she warns.

Title: Fossil Fuels, Mother Earth, and Mankind
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Dr. Mark J. Perry
with American Enterprise Institute (www.AEI.org)
We all need energy.
Everyone – across the globe – uses some form of energy every day.
Whether that energy comes from coal, gas, wind, solar, or good ol’ fashion
burnin’ wood…We all need energy. Until the use of coal was discovered, we cut
down trees to heat our homes. To cook. To clean.
Then entered fossil fuels. The discovery of coal literally saved the
deforestation of Europe and America. “It was a huge turning point in energy
development,” Dr. Perry says. Oil halted the killing of whales and seals,
and fertilizer also had a hand in moving things forward. How? Dr. Perry explains
how these were other positive improvements to the world’s economy.
Now, switching to other forms of energy: solar and wind energy. Dr. Perry says
experts agree that “Solar and wind energy farms are far too expensive and
take up too much room. Twenty-five years from now, fossil fuels will still be
providing over 80% of our energy needs.” The environmentalists and those in
DC, however, keep pushing the EPA to issue mandates to lower the use of fossil
fuels – or ban them completely. Is it all about the money?
Dr. Mark J. Perry is a Professor of Economics and Finance in the School of
Management at the Flint Campus of The University of Michigan. He is
also a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. You can follow Dr.
Perry’s blog [here].

Title: EPA Following Obama's War on Coal
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Kathleen White
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)
Part 1 of 2
CO2 gets such a bad
rap, but it is an absolute necessity to human life.
The EPA wants Texas and other states to reduce their greenhouse emissions by 30%
by the year 2030. Kathleen White, with the Texas Public Policy, says this is
absolutely unreasonable. Even a Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, who
taught President Obama has accused the EPA of overstepping the Constitutional,
causing division between Congress and the agencies under the law.
The EPA has even admitted that their proposal would only reduce the predicted
warming trend by 0.018 of a degree. This is immeasurable. This will not reduce
greenhouse emissions in any way, shape, or form, says Kathleen White.
Listen in as Kathleen discusses what will happen if the EPA is, in fact, able to
place this financial burden on the backs of Texans. For one, she says we would
be forced to endorse, against our will, the EPA’s gross overreach of the laws of
Congress.

EPA and Obama “Up your nose with a rubber hose!” Why would he say that?
Kathleen White had no idea Terry was going to throw a new slogan on her today!
Should we start a “Just Say NO to the EPA” Campaign? Why can’t Texas just tell
the EPA “NO!”
Kathleen White says it’s slightly harder than that. Listen in as she explains
the legality of the issue, even though the EPA doesn’t have the authority to
impose these regulations on the states. Log on to

Title: What is an Ethical Humanist?
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)
Part 1 of 2
Environmentalists should be scared; very, very scared. In his new book,
The
Moral Case for Fossil Fuels, Alex Epstein makes one of the most compelling
arguments for the moral value of fossil fuels and the need to increase their use
Dr. Sterling Burnett has ever read.
Epstein is an ethical humanist; for him, the well-being of
human life is the
standard of value public policy should maximize. This ethical theory goes back
to the ancient Greeks and went virtually unchallenged as a basis for judging
right and wrong throughout human history, at least until recently.
Dr. Sterling Burnett explains why he finds Alex Epstein’s arguments so
compelling and why environmentalists are running scared. Dr. Burnett also
discusses the “biocentric philosophy” that views human changes to the
environment as morally wrong and unnatural.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - What is an Ethical Humanist?
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)
When examining the use of fossil fuels, such as natural gas and coal,
environmentalists never seem to point out the positive attributes; they only
focus on the negative (which they exaggerate drastically). Dr. Sterling Burnett
points out that you must look at the cost benefits of fossil fuels when arguing
the case.
Take, for example, the amount of preventable deaths in Africa due to the lack of
clean, fresh water could be avoided if the UN would allow more fossil fuels to
be used to drill water wells! Their hospitals and clinics would change
overnight.

Topic: Fossil Fuels

Part 1 of 2
Give notice to your landlord. Tell your apartment manager you are outta there!
Sell your house and 99% of your stuff! Move into a 200 foot Zulu Hut, with no
plumbing and no electricity. Eat veggies grown in your garden. Raise your own
chickens. Actually, scratch that. You also have to become a Vegan. No more meat
for you! Come on! It’ll be fun!
NOT! I am only just kidding, folks. BUT this is not far from the ideal living
situation environmentalists want us to all experience. That part I am NOT
kidding about.
Dr. Marlo Lewis is back to discuss a new campaign haters of electricity and
fossil fuels are using called the “Divestment Movement’s Heart of Darkness”.
Their goal is to convince large corporations, college presidents, politicians,
and anyone else who will listen to dump their money and investments into clean
energy companies. In short, they want to use this money to campaign for climate
alarm. It’s nothing but a political strategy.
Dr. Lewis has been watching fossil fuels for decades. He is simply amazed by the
attention being given to fossil fuels over the last few years. What is all the
hype about? Listen in!

Title: Part 2 of 2 - The Future of Fossil Fuels
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Dr. Marlo Lewis
with Competitive Enterprise Institute www.cei.org
Dr. Marlo Lewis says that if the “Divestment” campaign gains momentum, oil
company stocks could plummet quickly and dramatically. However, this does not
just effect the fossil fuel industry. It affects a whole, whole lot more than
that. Normal, everyday people would lose their jobs – jobs that you and I depend
on to provide us services every day. Jobs many of YOU have right now! Financial
services. Technology companies. Restaurants. Farmers. Telecommunications.
Everything uses electricity.
The environmentalists don’t think about this. They just see “fossil fuel”
and run around screaming, waving their “Mother Earth” sign, and
Tweeting from the iPhones!
If we really stopped using all fossil fuels completely – cold turkey – we would
be tossed back into the Stone Ages. No electric smart cars – we’d ride a horse
and use a buggy. No iced tea – we’d drink unfiltered, disease filled water from
a pond. No iPhones – you’d have to (gulp) write a handwritten letter! Oh the
horror!

Title: Where Does Energy Actually Come From?
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Greg Kozera
with Just the Fracks Ma’am (www.JustTheFracksBook.com)
If you were in need
of surgery, would you ask a medical writer who has never performed a surgery or
even practiced medicine to cut you open? NO! You’d actively seek the best
surgeon in town.
If you wanted to improve your golf swing, would you ask a Sports Illustrated
staff writer to help you? NO! You’d find the best pro golfer money could buy to
teach you the tricks of the trade.
If your car broke down, would you take it to the local donut shop? NO! You’d
take it to a mechanic.
Why do so many people trust a paid Hollywood actor who is reading from a script,
spreading false information about hydraulic fracking instead of an expert on the
environment? Greg Kozera discusses a recent Rasmussen survey of 1,000 likely
voters concerning various economic and social issues facing our nation.
Greg is the President of the Virginia Oil and Gas Association and an
environmentalist author – one of the rare few who actually encourages hydraulic
fracking. He says people just don’t have a clue where the energy, electricity,
gasoline, air conditioning, heat they use comes from.
In the late 1970’s, after OPEC placed an oil embargo on the United State, lines
for gasoline were atrocious! Now, America is the NUMBER ONE producer of oil in
the world. Greg says, in his opinion, we will not be running out of natural gas
or crude oil any time soon, even by today’s standards.
If the truth isn’t shouted from the rooftops by people like Greg Kozera, the EPA
will have us living like the cavemen in the stone ages within a few generations.

Title: The Right Climate Stuff: Follow-up Questions
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Dr. Hal Doiron
with The Right Climate Stuff (www.TheRightClimateStuff.com)
Part 1 of 2
Dr. Hal Doiron is back for a follow up interview; there was just too much
that we didn’t get a chance to cover. If you missed his other interview, click
on the “Archives” link and search under his name, Dr. Hal Doiron, for his
previous interview on September 17.
The retired NASA scientists and engineers who started “The Right Climate Stuff”
set out to prove that anthropologic (or “man-made”) climate change was a danger
to the environment. Dr. Hal Doiron is one of those retired NASA engineers. When
they were preparing for a mission, they had to run every scenario, every
what-if. Everything had to be tested and retested and tested again. They failed
more times than they succeeded.
The EPA and environmentalist scientists who are spreading climate change
hysteria are not providing adequate evidence – proof, if you will – as to how
they arrived at their outcomes for anthropogenic climate change. Dr. Doiron
wants them to show the proof, but the problem is, they can’t!
Today, the CO2 level is 400 parts per million, which is less than one-tenth of a
percent of our atmosphere. During the age of the dinosaurs, the CO2 level was
thousands of times higher than it is now! Why? Because of plant growth! And
that’s a good thing!

Energy and Climate Policy Summit” in Houston. For more information, log on to

environmentalists are screaming.
Listen in as Dr. Hal describes other reliable, inexpensive resources the
government should be focusing on for energy – and, no, these do not include
solar and wind-powered energy. If we spend billions and billions of dollars on
solar and wind-powered energy, it will be money wasted.

Title: Eradicating Energy Poverty
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Dr. Frank Clemente
with Energy Facts (www.Energy-Facts.org)
Part 1 of 3
Without electricity, can poverty be eliminated? Without electricity, can
hunger become a thing of the past? Without electricity, can we increase
life-expectancy?
Dr. Frank Clemente is a retired professor from Penn State, where he was chosen
as Professor of the Year in 2006 by the senior class. He has spent a lifetime
researching various types of energy – including coal, wind, and solar. He says
that access to energy greatly improves the quality of life. Dr. Clemente gives a
personal example of how not having access to energy and clean water greatly
affected his own family.
Before the automobile replaced horses as the main form of transportation,
disease was rampant. Before electricity, the life-expectancy was only 40 years
old. When electricity-producing coal plants were brought to cities and towns,
the quality of life improved dramatically. When cars and trucks replaced horses,
cities and towns became cleaner and there was less disease.
Dr. Frank Clemente will be the keynote speaker for the luncheon on Friday,
September 26 for the “At the Crossroads: Energy and Climate Policy Summit”.

believes reliable, inexpensive energy can help bring prosperity to the poor.

Dr. Frank Clemente
gives another personal account of how the lack of electricity has affected his
family. He and his wife are the parents to four biological children and four
adopted children. One of their adopted children came to them at the age of 6,
weighing only 35 pounds, because of the lack of electricity in his home country.
Dr. Clemente says we must do all we can to ensure that future generations have
the same access the inexpensive, reliable energy that we have had. We must
ensure that future generations are not saddled with massive energy mandates that
will cost billions of dollars. We must ensure that future generations will have
a better quality of life.
Gross, but interesting fact: If you took a glass and filled it with water
straight from your toilet, you’d have cleaner water than 50% of the world’s
population. Why? Because they do not have access to electricity. Listen in as
Dr. Clemente discusses the many benefits of electricity and the need for coal
power.

Topic: Fossil Fuels

Dr. Frank Clemente
wants everyone in the world to have the same access to electricity that we in
American have. That doesn’t mean that it is our responsibility as Americans to
provide electricity to other countries, but we can certainly give them the
knowledge on how to obtain inexpensive, reliable energy.
The world’s population is expected to increase to 9.6 Billion people by 2050.
Without access to inexpensive, reliable energy, third-world countries will never
be able to lift themselves out of poverty. In fact, many developed countries,
including the United States, are actually trying to hold back third-world
countries by attempting to eliminate the use of fossil fuels in favor of solar
and wind powered energy, which are expensive and unreliable.

Title: Prosperity and Poverty - The Energy Factor
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Dr. Calvin Beisner
with Cornwall Alliance (www.CornwallAlliance.org)
God has entrusted us with His creation. God expects us to take care of His
creation. The very first commandment is found in Genesis 1:28: “Be fruitful and
increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea
and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the
ground.”
Is it our responsibility to pay for the energy costs for people around the
globe? The Bible tells us that we are our brother’s keeper, but that doesn’t
mean that it is our government’s responsibility to supply people across the
globe with everything they need. Without access to reliable, abundant and
inexpensive energy, you lock the poor into a lifetime of back-breaking labor.
Dr. Beisner says that if we allow Obama and the EPA to pass mandates on coal and
force us to use solar and wind energy, he is invading on our personal rights. If
we allow the UN to pass restrictions on the use of coal across the globe, we
will be holding back third-world countries from achieving the same prosperity we
enjoy in America.
Listen in as he discusses the difference between the government’s
responsibility, our individual rights, and who should pay for what.

In elementary school, we were taught the life cycle of plants. We learned
that plants need carbon dioxide in order to grow fruit and vegetables. We
learned that carbon dioxide is a good thing.
Now, students are told that CO2 is awful and is caused by humans who are
irresponsible and don’t care about the environment. Students are not told of the
benefits of CO2. Students are not told that there is not one shred of actual
evidence that carbon dioxide is ruining the environment.
There have been 5,000 studies that prove the many, many benefits of CO2,
specifically in third world countries where people are starving to death. Have

Leighton Steward is
an environmentalist who used to work for the “other side”. He set out to prove

Leighton Steward describes how, during the ice age, the levels of carbon dioxide
were eleven times higher than it is today. How could there have been ice
everywhere if carbon dioxide makes it warmer?
The CO2 levels have been steadily rising over the last two decades, but the
earth has not warmed in almost 18 years!
Beginning in the 1950’s, environmentalists claimed that the Earth would be in
another ice age by the mid-70’s. Well, obviously that didn’t happen! Now they’re
back pedaling, saying they looked at the data incorrectly and we’re actually
warming.

Title: Renewable Alternatives
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Dr. David Kreutzer
with The Heritage Foundation (www.Heritage.org)
Renewable
alternatives to fossil fuels are wind, solar, and ethanol. However, the problem
with these “renewables” is that they are not competitive to fossil fuels. Dr.
David Kreutzer goes into more detail about the differences in coal, wind, and
solar energy in this segment. David also poses this question: if these
renewables are so competitive, like the EPA claims, why place mandates on them?
Germany is a very developed country and very wealthy. It’s not like the days of
war anymore, and hasn’t been for a long time. They have malls, high rises, and
fast-food restaurants; they have universities, soccer teams, and Starbucks.
Germany has also been a big advocate for renewable energy sources. Germans are
paying 2-3 times MORE for their electricity and heat than we are in America!
Some people actually freeze in the winter because they cannot afford to heat
their homes and apartments. Manufacturers are leaving the country because the
power prices are so outrageous, they cannot compete with low prices for their
consumers.
The good news is that many manufacturing and chemical engineering companies that
moved overseas for cheaper labor are now moving BACK to America for lower
natural gas prices! But, we must be careful that we do not allow the same thing
to happen to us; we must be vigilant and keep one eye on our leaders at all
times and not permit them to pass any law banning fossil fuels or placing
mandates on renewable energy sources.
Dr. David Kreutzer is a Research Fellow in Energy Economics and Climate
Change with The Heritage Foundation. He will be in attendance

the Crossroads: Energy and Climate Policy Summit”. The title of the session

Dr. Hal Doiron will
be presenting during the “At the Crossroads: Energy and Climate Policy

opinion, the EPA and governments around the world should really examine the
effects of fossil fuels on the environment – or lack thereof.
At NASA, if they wanted to prove a problem, they would be required to provide
indisputable data. Dr. Hal says the EPA does not have the proof to back their
climate change hysteria. What the EPA should be doing, instead, is trying to
find potential solutions to problems, should they arise.
Who would be held responsible if there was a climate emergency? The President?
The EPA? Does it matter? Dr. Hal suggests that we need to be more focused on a
solution for ALL sources of renewable, inexpensive energy and quit playing the
blame game.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Personal Responsibility Outrages the Left
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Robert Knight
with Robert H Knight (www.RobertHKnight.com)
DISCLAIMER: Issues
discussed during this segment might be inappropriate for young children. Please
use caution when listening to this segment in the presence of children.
When liberals see people stand up for their values and actually have an
intelligent, informed opinion about an issue, they get so piping mad!
Janet Harris is the former communications director for Emily’s List, an
organization whose main objective is to elect pro-choice women into office.
Janet recently stated that the pro-abortion crowd needs to stop referring to
abortion as a “difficult choice” because this implies that a fetus is
actually a real human baby. Well, Janet, it is! Thanks for pointing that out for
us!
Another hot topic that is circulating the social networks is the former George
Washington University President who told female students to not get drunk so
they won’t get into trouble. Stephen Joel Trachtenberg set off a fire storm
among the feminists who are just simply outraged that a male would dare to say
such a thing! Don’t mothers and fathers warn their daughters of this very same
thing? He didn’t back down when the backlash started. He stuck to his guns and I
applaud him!

Title: The Clean Power Plan
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Dr. Marlo Lewis
with Competitive Enterprise Institute www.cei.org
The radicals at the EPA are determined to remove any and all signs of
carbon-based energy in America – and the world. One of the EPA’s new favorite
coin-phrases is the “Clean Power Plan”. This is a proposed guideline (aka
regulation) to reduce carbon dioxide from coal powered plants by an average of
thirty percent nationwide by the year 2030. Dr. Marlo Lewis, Senior Fellow at
the Competitive Enterprise Institute, explains this guideline (aka regulation)
in further detail.
Yesterday on The What’s UP Radio Program, Kathleen White discussed another
favorite phrase the EPA is throwing around to all the Hollywood elite and Ivy
League college kids: “The Social Cost of Carbon”. Dr. Marlo Lewis says this is
the “new equivalent of the Marxist labor theory of value”. In other words, it’s
all “hocus pocus” based on climate functions that have never been validated.
Furthermore, Dr. Lewis says the EPA has no empirical data at all about any
benefits wind or solar powered energy have on the environment. Zero evidence.
None. Zilch. Nada. Zip. Listen in as Dr. Lewis discusses how the EPA is not even
attempting to offer a shred of proof for any benefits or if it will absolutely
reduce the effects “global warming” has had on our economy.
Dr. Lewis is a presenter with the “At the Crossroads: Energy and Climate Policy
Summit” on September 25 and 26 in Houston. For more information and to register,

Title: Anthropogenic Global Warming
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Mark P. Mills
with Manhattan Institute (www.ManhattanInstitute.org)
Part 1 of 2
Anthropogenic is
just a fancy way of saying “man-caused”. Man, these people at the EPA really do
have the best words-smiths at their beck and call.
Everybody loves polar bears, especially the adorable baby one in the Coca-Cola
commercials at Christmastime. According to the EPA and the global warming
alarmists, soon that baby will be all alone without a mama and daddy because we
killed them with our hot air.
Al Gore, we have news for you. The arctic ice coverage is up 68% - not
completely gone as you predicted and the polar bear population has increased, as
well. Uh-oh! Somebody has some explaining to do! The problem is that he won’t
backpedal at all. He won’t apologize. None of the environmentalists see anything
wrong with what they are feeding low information voters.
Their goal is to convince as many people as possible that we are bad, bad humans
and fossil fuels will kill us all within a hundred years so we must stop using
them completely.
Listen in as Mark P. Mills, a presenter during the “At the
Crossroads: Energy and Climate Policy Summit”, exposes their lies.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Fracking is Good for our Nation's Future
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Mark P. Mills
with Manhattan Institute (www.ManhattanInstitute.org)
Mark P. Mills will
be the keynote speaker on Friday morning, September 26 with the “At the
Crossroads: Energy and Climate Policy Summit”. In this segment, he gives a little background
about hydraulic fracturing and why it has become such an amazing asset during
the last thirty years. America is set to become the world’s number one producer
of natural gas over the next few years, and we owe a big part of that success to
fracking.
One of the biggest rumors around fracking is that is causes contamination to the
water supply. Well, according to the EPA, there is not one single shred of
evidence concerning polluted water supplies. Their own research disputes their
very claim!
Listen in as Mark gives a preview of the keynote address he will be giving for
the “At the Crossroads: Energy and Climate Policy Summit” on September 25 and 26
in Houston.

Title: At a Crossroad: To Help or Not to Help
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Kathleen White
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)
Part 1 of 3
A recent Rasmussen poll indicates that nearly one-third of all voters are
unaware of which party controls the House or the Senate. Do you know? Does your
spouse? Do your neighbors or co-workers?
If these “low information voters” don’t know who their leaders are, how can we
expect them to be informed when they vote? Do they even know who they’re voting
for? Do they know anything at all about the issues, or do they just blindly
follow?
One area that is of great importance is energy. Kathleen White is a
distinguished senior fellow at the Texas Public Policy Foundation. She knows
energy like Obama knows golf.
Kathleen says a lot of the problem begins with the media. They distort,
exaggerate, and twist the facts around so badly that it is often hard for even
educated voters to realize the truth. This very reason is why the Texas Public
Policy Foundation is hosting the “At the Crossroads: Energy and Climate Policy
Summit” this September 25 and 26 in downtown Houston.
People deserve to the know the truth about Obama and the insidious regulations
he is imposing on states concerning what, where, and how much they can drill,
manufacture, and sell reliable, cheap fossil fuels. People also deserve to know
that fossil fuels are NOT harming the environment and causing the earth to warm.
We need CO2 in order to live, people. If we don’t have it, we die. Period.
We have access to massive amounts of energy in Texas and America. Did you know
that 60% of people in India have no electricity? That is so hard for me to
imagine! If Obama and his minions would allow us the opportunity to send the
people of India and other poor nations our resources, their quality of life –
and even their life-expectancy – would vastly improve!

Title: Part 2 of 3 - Social Cost for Carbon
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Kathleen White
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)
A new phrase is
floating around: “The Social Cost of Carbon”.
Kathleen White says this is an invention from the EPA without any input from
Congress or a formal process from the public in an attempt to estimate the
amount of money from every ton or pound of carbon dioxide in order to rid our
society of CO2. Whew, that is a mouthful! Simply put, this is yet
another ploy from the environmentalists who want us to live like the cavemen did
in the Stone Ages.
Kathleen calls the whole debacle “bizarre”. The EPA is attempting to predict 100
years in to the future, when they can’t even depict what is going to happen ten
years from now – or even a month, a week, a day!
We all know what the EPA and Obama really want: Money. The EPA is imposing
outrageous fees on businesses concerning the amount of carbon they generate.
More importantly, the EPA has now proposed the most severe regulation in its
history, which would force a complete redesign of the ENTIRE NATION’S system of
electrical generation. They want to shut down every coal plant and replace it
ALL with wind and solar powered energy. This would cost billions and billions
and BILLIONS of tax-payer dollars!
The environmentalists have been claiming for years that carbon puts a strain on
everything, from health and well-being to the height of the sea level to the
severity of storms. So they have now devised this “Social Cost of Carbon”
story to woo others into believing their lies. Kathleen says that this all
complete speculation. She uses an example from the 1960’s to prove her point.
Listen in to find out happened!

Title: Part 3 of 3 - The Benefits of Fossil Fuels
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Kathleen White
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)
Before the use of fossil fuels
began to skyrocket in England in the mid-1700’s, the average life-span was only
25-30 years old! At least 30% of children died before they were 15 years old.
This had been the norm for most of human history.
Then enter fossil fuels… It was discovered that coal could be used as an energy
source. Immediately, the life-span of people doubled and even tripled!
The majority of people spent their short lives doing physical labor, from
farming to making clothes to building houses and buildings. With the use of
fossil fuels like coal and natural gas, these jobs took far less time. For
example, weaving one pound of cotton took 18 hours per person without the use of
fossil fuels. After, it only took 30 minutes! Incredible!
If you are interested in learning more about fossil fuels and the benefits they
have in our society, I encourage you to attend the “At the Crossroads: Energy
and Climate Policy Summit” this September 25 and 26 at the Regency Hotel in
downtown Houston.

Title: Hilary Clinton has her Priorities Misplaced Big Time
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Marita Noon
with Energy Makes America Great
The biggest, most important
issue facing the nation today is global warming. According to Hilary Clinton,
that is. Does she really believe this or is she just setting the stage for
another bid at the Oval Office?
What about ISIS, Hilary? Or the failing American economy? Or the $17,000,000,000
national debt? Let’s not forget that FLOTUS Michelle Obama’s biggest concern is
over-weight kids….
If Obama and his cronies had their way, we would not use any kind of CO2 at all,
only using wind and solar powered energy. This will not only increase the cost
of energy, it will increase the cost of everything, from milk to bread to cell
phone bills and your kids’ gymnastics registration. Businesses must pass the
increased cost of heating and cooling their buildings on to you, the customer.
Would your kids like to go to school in an un-air conditioned classroom? Would
you like to sit in a hospital waiting room with zero A/C? What about church? Or
the grocery store? And you can forget about having A/C in your home. If you
think your bill is outrageous now, just wait!
Listen in as Marita discusses Hilary, “global warming”, Texas oil, and what
could happen if we lose the energy battle.
NOTE: Marita Noon now has an hour-long internet radio program called “America’s
Voice for Energy” at 11 am every Thursday and it can be heard at your leisure at
www.AmericasWebRadio.com after it’s been posted on the site. There is also an iPhone and Google play app available for download on your smart phone.

Title: The Moral Cause for Using Fossil Fuels
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Kathleen White
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)
Part 1 of 3
I challenge you and your family to an experiment. It won’t cost you a dime.
It cost you your dignity. It won’t hurt a bit. I dare you to turn all electrical
devices and appliances off (except your fridge and freezer). Don’t use your cell
phone, iPad, or computer. No watching TV or popping popcorn. Even turn the
thermostat up to around 85 degrees (as long as no one requires the house to be
cooler for medical reasons).
Gather your family around in the living room. Sit in the dark (or use candles,
no flashlights allowed). Talk. Play games. Pray. Sing. You can do anything –
except use electricity.
Kathleen White, with the Texas Public Policy Foundation, reminisces about the
Good Ol’ Days…

Title: Part 2 of 3 - The Moral Cause for Using Fossil Fuels
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Kathleen White
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)
In the last segment, Kathleen
painted a picture of what life was like before the Industrial Revolution. Now,
she explains how fossil fuels have vastly improved our way of life, both here in
America and across the world.
Although there are still some places in the world that struggle and are in deep
poverty, most countries are thriving. And we have fossil fuels to thank for
that.
So, why is Obama continually trying to stifle that progress? Kathleen compares a
loaf of bread to the energy of a car burning gasoline.
