Title: Extreme Weather: What We Still Don’t Know
Topic: Climate Change Bologna
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Part 1 of 2

Albert Einstein expressed modesty with regard to his knowledge, reportedly saying: “The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know.”

Sterling Burnett believes the same can be said about our knowledge (or lack-thereof) of climate and weather patterns. Sterling Burnett is the Director of the Arthur B. Robinson Center on Climate and Environmental Policy and the Managing Editor of Environment and Climate News with the Heartland Institute.

Click here to read Sterling Burnett’s op-ed on this important topic.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Do scientists fully understand all the variables that affect weather locally, nationally, and worldwide?

What causes the ocean temperature and currents to fluctuate? Sterling Burnett has an easy-to-understand explanation…

Do humans have any control over the temperature of or shift in ocean current?

Title: Surface Station Data is Wrong
Topic: Climate Change Bologna
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Sterling Burnett is the Director of the Arthur B. Robinson Center on Climate and Environmental Policy with the Heartland Institute. Today, Sterling Burnett discusses the government’s lies about climate change.

Click here for a study conducted by the Heartland Institute on this issue.

Questions/Issues Discussed
:

Taxpayers are shelling out millions upon millions of dollars on research based on “surface temperature station studies”. How accurate are these studies? Sterling Burnett explains “surface temperature data” and how concrete and asphalt roads and even nearby buildings can affect the results.

What is the purpose of the US Climate Reference Network?

Would the data being released from “surface temperature station studies”” hold up in a court of law?

Are the American people being completely gaslit about man-made climate change? Sterling Burnett calls the data “made-up numbers”.

Title: Fossil Fuels Power Relief Efforts
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Hurricane relief efforts are in full force in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico. How are those efforts being fueled? Well, fossil fuels like oil, coal, and gas of course! You can’t power a forklift, helicopter, or tanker trunks with solar panels or wind energy!

Dr. Sterling Burnett offers more details concerning this important topic today.

Not discussed in this interview: Make plans to attend the upcoming “America First Energy Conference” at the Houston Galleria JW Marriott Hotel on Thursday, November 9. Click here  for all the details.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Do fossil fuels make society more resilient in the face of natural disasters?

Would less people have died in the Big Flood of Galveston in 1900 if they had more warning and better access to escape routes? How does this relate to fossil fuels? Listen as Dr. Burnett explains…

What powered helicopters making rooftop rescues?

What powered the Cajun Navy?

What powered the trucks and tankers that drove through high water to rescue trapped citizens and deliver supplies to those in need?

What powered the ambulances that transported the injured to hospitals?

Listen as Dr. Burnett compares the differences between the rescues in Texas and Florida to the efforts in Puerto Rico.

Can a person travel farther, faster, and with more efficiency in a gas-powered vehicle or an electric vehicle?

Title: Oops! The NY Times Goofed!
Topic: Climate Change Bologna
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

The NY Times goofed. Again. Big time! Will heads roll? Was it on purpose? Does management care? Is their objective really to convince readers that too many humans on are on Earth?

Dr. Sterling Burnett is back with details about the NY Times’ latest attempt to pull the wool over our eyes. He’s not buying it! Are you?

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What exactly did the NY Times report about climate change that was so wrong?

Did they have to print a retraction for their error?

Does Dr. Burnett believe the NY Times really “goofed” or was it done on purpose?

How much money does the government give to environmental groups who report that man is causing climate change?

How much money does the government give to environmental groups who believe there are other causes for climate change (not caused by humans)?

WWill this goof-up cause the NY Times and other news publications to stop their “fake news” reporting? HINT: Probably not…

Title: What’s UP with Trump and Green Energy
Topic: Climate Change Bologna
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Part 1 of 2

Nick Stockton recently wrote in the magazine Wired, “No matter what Trump does, green energy will prevail. He states the United States will lose out in the global economy if it does not continue to push green energy to the detriment of fossil fuels.

Guest Dr. Sterling Burnett writes for Climate Change Weekly for The Heartland Institute. Today he will be discussing the above-mentioned article and the future of the EPA under the Trump Administration.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Is Nick Stockton correct in his assertion?

Has Germany seen the folly of rushing to green as its energy source?

Dr. Burnett says this of so-called green energy: “The real green for green energy is the green in your pocketbook when it’s stealing your money.”

When wind and solar energy are not producing electricity, what must consumers, businesses, and industries use for power?

The United States is the second largest export economy in the world. During a recent year, the top exports of the United States were refined petroleum, cars, planes, helicopters, and/or spacecraft, vehicle parts, and packaged medicines. Are these industries heavily dependent on energy in their production?

Title: The REINS Act and How it Affects Your Money
Topic: REINS Act
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Should Congress review expensive proposed regulations? The major regulations approved by Obama impose the equivalent of $2,294 in regulatory costs on every person in the United States every year. Has your quality of life, your longevity, your happiness improved by $2,294 for every person in your family?

Dr. Sterling Burnett, editor of Climate Change Weekly, is here today to discuss the REINS Act and what it means for your pocketbook.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is the REINS ACT?

Have past regulations come with high costs and low benefits?

Decades ago, did our elected officials abrogate their law-making power and allow executive agencies to usurp their authority? And If so, why?

Will President Trump require Congress to “man-up” and review out-of-control agencies who have issued unnecessary, expensive, and often job-killing regulations?

The House has passed the REINS ACT. What about the Senate?

Title: Climate Alarmists Pushing Green Education Indoctrination
Topic: Climate Change Bologna
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Part 1 of 2

Climate alarmists want to indoctrinate America’s youth, turning green robots loose on their parents and the world. Climate alarmists have been working diligently, and persuasively, to undermine the teaching of sound science, the scientific method, and critical thinking in America’s primary, secondary, and college classrooms.

Dr. Sterling Burnett is a Research Fellow and the Managing Editor of Environment and Climate News at the Heartland Institute. He has some eye-opening information which every parent with public school-educated children must listen to.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Why do Climate Alarmists want to brain-wash our children so badly?

What do Texas textbooks teach about climate change? Is it fact or theory?

How many other countries are teaching climate alarmism is in their schools?

How successful are the climate alarmists as they push their brain-washing ideology? Do you students really believe them?

Title: Climate Alarmist Showing Their True Colors
Topic: Climate Change Bologna
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Part 1 of 2

200 million people. That is the “ideal” population of Earth. The Entire Earth. Or so says climate alarmist Arne Naess. He and many others like him truly believe that humans are ruining the Earth. Dr. Sterling Burnett is here for two segments today to reveal the terrifying details.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Who was Arne Naess and why did he push for a lower population on the Earth?

What is the population of the Earth today compared to when Arne Naess offered his opinion?

Who chooses who lives, how long they live, and who gets to have children?

Travis Rieder is an author and bioethicist at John Hopkins University. His focus is on the ethics of procreation and man-caused climate change. Listen in as Dr. Burnett discusses Rieder’s ideas.

Does Professor Rieder firmly believe that man is causing catastrophic-cataclysmic climate change?

Does Travis Rieder believe that Western man is not willing to give up the comforts they have become so accustomed to? Note: Rieder calls comforts such air conditioning and refrigeration “toys”.

The majority of man-kind who live in third-world countries long for the comforts we in America take for granted. Why can’t they advance?

Title: Hil-Rump on Climate Change
Topic: Presidential Politics
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Donald Trump’s views on climate change and energy production differ radically from those held by Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

Dr. Sterling Burnett wants everyone to understand that Hillary and Bernie want to “double-down” on Obama’s current policies, making things even worse for the American economy. Donald Trump, however, is on record saying he will reverse Obama’s regulations. He goes on to explain how wind, solar, and coal all receive federal subsidies; however, the fossil fuel industry receives a much lower amount than the others.

Hydraulic fracking is another hot topic within the oil and gas debate. Dr. Burnett gives a brief explanation of fracking and how the three top Presidential candidates differ on this issue as well. Bernie Sanders desires to end fracking completely, Hillary wants to add more stringent regulations, and Trump wants to increase its productivity. “Fracking is safe,” Dr. Burnett says. “It has helped decreased the leakage of methane emissions and oil and gas spills over the last decade.

Trump has made some pretty outrageous statements regarding man-caused climate change (which Dr. Burnett discloses in this interview). However, Trump does recognize that man is not causing catastrophic climate change like the left continually squawks. Bernie says it is the “greatest challenge facing our generation”, while Hillary believes it is a “defining moment and policy”.

Dr. Burnett would like to point out that he is NOT making an endorsement for President in regards to the information provided in this interview. He is simply revealing the facts that all three candidates have expressed on record. Conduct do your own research and decide who the best qualified candidate is based on your criteria.

Title: Climate Deniers Covered by the First Amendment
Topic: Jail Climate Change Deniers
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

On March 29, 2016, charges were filed against ExxonMobil in New York City for racketeering. Using the RICO statute, sixteen state Attorney Generals announced their intention to go after organizations that were “committing fraud” by “knowingly deceiving” the public about the threat of manmade climate change. (We interviewed Sam Kazman on April 13 about their attack on the Competitive Enterprise Institute, which you can find in our archives.)

The statute which these AG’s are using is Section 241 of US Code Title 18. It makes it a felony “for two or more persons to agree together to injure, threaten or intimidate” another person in exercising their constitutional rights.

Today, we have expert Dr. Sterling Burnett, with the Heartland Institute, to discuss more about this dangerous and very serious issue. He boldly claims that WE (the climate change deniers) should be suing THEM under this law! “This is a violation of our civil rights under the law,” he states.

Dr. Burnett goes on to say that ExxonMobil simply needs to request that the climate change alarmists show their model predictions for the current year’s temperature, hurricane strength, droughts, and polar ice cap measures. The numbers don’t match! “They’ve got the case to make,” he declares. “They’re the ones that are claiming science has spoken, but that is a lie.”

Listen in as Dr. Burnett and host Terry Lowry have a lively discussion about the Supreme Court, the First Amendment, weather throughout the ages, and what the future may look like if the left wins.

Title: Climate Change Education
Topic: Climate Change
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Climate change hysteria is all over the news. Celebrities tweet about. The President stated that climate change is the single greatest threat to the United States and the World. But, what are our children an  grandchildren being taught in public school about climate change? That is the focus of today’s interview with Dr. Sterling Burnett with the Heartland Institute. He says, “There is no doubt…that climate change is occurring. It has historically always occurred. Climate is not stable.” He has been involved in this debate for two decades. We love to have our experts on!

Dr. Burnett discusses a nation survey, conducted by the National Center for Science Education, of 1,500 middle and high school teachers, representing all 50 states, concerning this topic. “I had lost hope. I thought that kids were being brain-washed,” Dr. Burnett admits. However, the results astounded him – in both good and bad ways! He reveals the results, so listen in.

Back in 2014, Texas lost a battle to keep this issue balanced in new textbooks. Several other states opted to follow suit, using the same textbooks to teach climate change propaganda in public schools. Dr. Burnett explains how Virginia, however, stood up to the climate alarmists and demanded balanced textbooks. Bravo for them!

Note: Many school districts have opted to not use the new textbooks in order to save money. But, when they do need new books, the climate change bologna will be in print for all kids to see. We must stop this and demand Texas teach kids both sides of the issue!

Since this is an election season, anything can happen. There are many parents, teachers, and even elected officials who are having second thoughts about Common Core teaching methods. Dr. Burnett is confident that we can turn the tide around. “We have the opportunity to ensure that sound climate science is in the standards. It’s still open for debate,” he says.

Title: The Proof is in the Pudding
Topic: Climate Change Bologna
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

The proof is in the pudding! The cost of courting public opinion is increasing, especially when it comes to climate change bologna. With the pause in global temperature rise continuing well into its 18th year, polar bear populations and Arctic and Antarctic ice levels on the increase, and hurricane land strikes at historic lows, the list of “horribles” climate alarmists can trot out to scare the public is dwindling. However, the number of alarmists (especially Hollywood celebrities) in increasing!

Dr. Sterling Burnett, with the Heartland Institute, is here to give an update on the new ways these environmental wackos are reaching out to the low-information voter. “The funny thing is, when they run out of ‘horribles’, they reverse course and say the opposite of what they’ve said before,” he says. When the Next Ice Age didn’t happen, they claimed we are going to scorch to death.

Since the polar bears and icebergs aren’t diminishing as expected, the alarmists newest bell-ringer is “acidification of the ocean”. Of course, it’s all man’s fault. Listen in as Dr. Burnett explains that, while oceans are more acidic, it is due to sea life – not humans! Even the New York Times is exaggerating the truth. Actually, that’s not too surprising…

Government-funded studies which conclude that man is causing global warming are simply out of control. In addition, university professors and scientists are just going along with the government’s assertion of climate change. Why? Money.

Title: The Real Threat: Terrorism or Climate Change?
Topic: Climate Change Bologna
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Part 1 of 2

President Obama has repeatedly stated that climate change is the most dangerous threat to the security, tranquility, and progress of the United States and the world. For instance, in his commencement address to the Coast Guard Academy in May 2015, Obama said, “No challenge poses a greater threat to our future and future generations than a change in climate.”

Dr. Sterling Burnett points out how even Obama’s defense department has jumped on the bandwagon claiming climate change is bad news. The defense department!! Shouldn’t they be more focused on “containing” ISIS? I suppose that is beside the point, though…

In regards to terrorism and climate change, Dr. Burnett says this: “It is not climate change that is killing people around the globe. It is not climate change that is kidnapping young girls around the globe. It is not climate change that is bombing people in Paris cafes or shooting people in theatres or killing people in marathons. It is not climate change that is destroying buildings.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - The Real Threat: Terrorism or Climate Change?
Topic: Climate Change Bologna
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Dr. Burnett is the managing editor for Environment and Climate News with the Heartland Institute. He is an expert on matters of climate change, and I trust him when he says, “I see a lot of people saying things, but what they say is not backed up by evidence.” That is all we want: evidence. The problem is, there is no evidence – or the evidence we do have points to the opposite!

Take polar bears for example. By all calculations from the global warming alarmists, polar bears should be extinct, or nearly extinct, by now. When records began, only around 5,000 polar bears existed. Now, there are over 25,000. Dr. Burnett also discusses crop growth, Arctic ice, and weather patterns, such as hurricanes and droughts. The numbers the left are spewing just don’t add up to the facts.

To better serve American citizens, Dr. Burnett believes the billions of dollars we waste on false models for climate changes could be better spent on feeding the homeless and fighting terrorism around the world – maybe even combating illegal immigration! Amen, Dr. Burnett. Amen.

Title: Breaking: Solar Plant Emitting Carbon Pollutants!
Topic: Alternative Energy Lies
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Even as the Obama administration announces another $120 million in grants to boost solar energy, new reports indicate a centerpiece of the administration's green-energy effort is actually a carbon polluter. Located in Southern California's Mojave Desert, the $2.2 billion Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System benefited from a $1.6 billion Energy Department loan guarantee, and a $539 million Treasury Department stimulus grant to help pay off the loan. It has now been discovered that the plant is producing carbon emissions at nearly twice the amount that was expected.

Dr. Sterling Burnett is the Managing Editor for Environment and Climate News with the Heartland Institute. Listen in as Dr. Burnett explains how this particular solar panel plant operates, which is different than other solar plants that have been built. There is one aspect that is the same: they kill birds! Yes, birds! The heat from the sunlight on the solar panels is so intense, it literally causes birds to burst into flames! A bird conservationist group claims that tens of thousands of birds have been killed by solar panels.

Where is the outcry from the environmentalists or PETA? Nowhere. After all, solar powered plants are better than coal! (insert sarcasm.) Under the current administration, there is really no hope of changing the EPA’s harsh and unrealistic regulations on energy sources. Dr. Burnett discusses the increase of businesses being forced to leave California due to their unmanageably high energy rates. They simply cannot afford to stay there.

Dr. Burnett makes a bold statement: “I would like to see every coal-fired power plant in this country shut itself down for three days and see how the nation likes it.

Title: Praise God: Another Empty Agreement
Topic: Climate Change Bologna
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Coal is dirty. Coal causes too much global warming. Coal needs to be eliminated from the earth. NOT! Contrary to what you have heard from CNN and despite what your kids have been taught in public school, coal keeps us moving! Coal is important and will continue to be. Obama has done his best to eliminate coal use in the US. He’s been somewhat successful, but not as much as he would hope to be.

Dr. Sterling Burnett says that coal use is actually up around the world! Some people say this is not a good thing, especially in China where the greenhouse gasses are so high. India and Australia are two other countries that have increased their use of coal. Germany is yet another example – and this is a must for the Germans because their electricity rates are triple what ours are in the US! Can you imagine paying nearly $1,500 a month to cool your home in the summer? That does not sound appealing.

Renewable power plants like solar and wind are outrageously expensive, but states are now required to obtain at least part of their electricity from them. Dr. Burnett explains how Congress has allowed the EPA to run rampant, shutting down coal plants right and left.

Title: We Lose. They Win.
Topic: Obama and China
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Is America losing allies to China because of Obama’s climate obsession? Billions of people in Asia, South America, and Africa still need access to cheap, reliable energy sources, but Obama, the UN, and those on the left block advancement of any kind.

It’s simply just not fair for America to be telling third world countries what they can and cannot use for energy source. It’s not moral. Dr. Sterling Burnett explains how Obama is telling the World Bank not to fund fossil fuel plants, particularly coal fired plants. Other countries are not happy with this because they know the truth about fossil fuels. Listen in as Dr. Burnett reveals what many countries are now telling Obama and the World Bank!

The liberal elites are turning America into the most hated country in the world. Dr. Burnett says, “Obama is economically illiterate and probably politically illiterate. He knows how to gain power, but he doesn’t know how to keep a country powerful.” Dr. Burnett explains why he believes Obama is doing everything he can possibly do to restrict growth of any kind.

Title: Climate Change Lies
Topic: Climate Change Bologna
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Part 1 of 2

The climate change alarmists are taking a specific statement, “There is a 97% consensus that humans are contributing to climate change” and using it for their benefit every chance they can. Sterling Burnett says there are two things wrong with his statement. First, it is “false and misleading”.

Dr. Burnett also says, “It’s General Science 101.” If you’re hypothesis is proven to be right in test after test, then great. However, the models and tests used by the climate change scientists are not proven right; in fact, they rarely give the same answers!

There is a bare majority of scientists who agree that humans have contributed to climate change,” Dr. Burnett continues. But these are just “opinions”, not fact. Listen in as he explains in more detail.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Climate Change Lies
Topic: Climate Change Bologna
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

When scientists are asked, in an opinion poll, if humans are causing climate change, over 50% say “yes”. But this is just an opinion poll – not scientific fact. So when the MSM blasts climate “deniers”, it’s merely an “opinion”, but they never present it in that light. It’s always – always – fact. This is the problem.

Dr. Sterling Burnett says, “Obama is willing to impose his beliefs on the American people contrary to American law.” The liberals want to dictate how everyone lives in the future. They think they know best because Obama is “the smartest guy in the room”.

Finally, should government policy focus on making the American worker the most productive worker in the world while factoring in the worker and the environment? Dr. Burnett says, “Absolutely not!” Why does he believe this? Listen in!

Title: Educate Before You Regulate
Topic: Climate Change
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Many Progressives shy away at every opportunity to openly and honestly debate climate change. Dr. Sterling Burnett doesn’t think it’s that they “fear” debate; they simply don’t acknowledge that there is even a debate. “The scientists who won’t debate climate change, they have reached the point that there is nothing to discuss,” Dr. Burnett says. “It’s like talking to someone who still thinks the world is flat.” There is no changing their minds. Period.

Our kids, from Kindergarten through college, are being told that man is causing catastrophic climate change. TV shows and movies are pushing the notion at every opportunity. Dr. Burnett explains how even the Texas State Board of Education tried to stop the liberals from pushing man-caused catastrophic climate change, but they were unsuccessful in their fight!

As for the EPA’s newest attempt to force individual states to close coal fired power plants, Dr. Burnett says, “This is a religion for them. You can’t educate them. You can’t reeducate them.” Does the new leadership in Texas have the guts to stand up to the EPA? Listen in as Dr. Burnett gives his opinion!

Title: Bullying on College Campuses
Topic: Bullying
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

The hypocritical environmentalists just won’t quit. This time they’re going after college professors. Dr. Sterling Burnett is the current Managing Editor for the Environment and Climate News with the Heartland Institute.  He is here today to discuss a Congressman’s recent letter to seven university presidents demanding information concerning funding sources for certain researches at their university. The letter was an attempt to bully professors who dare to question Obama and his administration’s stance regarding man-caused global warming.

Dr. Burnett says Representative Raul Grijalva, a Democrat from Arizona, didn’t simply ask to view the records; he demanded them “as if he controls them and they have to obey his every wish”. Listen in as he details the information Grijalva demanded in his letter. How will this affect future studies? Will professors and scientists be wary of contradicting a US President or the environmental left concerning man-caused global warming?

Also revealed in this interview: Representative Raul Grijalva (the letter writer) received nearly $80,000 from environmental groups for his campaign. This is just the amount that has been discovered so far. Does this mean he is in bed with them? Dr. Burnett won’t go so far as to say that. However, he does point out, “Once you start casting stones, everyone’s glass house gets broken.

What Representative Grijalva is doing to these professors is nothing short of bullying on the playground. The difference is that he is messing with people’s lives – their livelihood – their careers. There is no excuse for this type of behavior. Period.

Title: Don't be Burned by Climate Scientists
Topic: EPA Lies
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Part 1 of 2

Surprise! “New” information has been revealed that the government bureaucrats at the EPA have been lying to the American public for a long time. When one lie ceases to work, they simply come up with another lie to tug on the heart strings of millions of people.

For example, now that the environmentalists realize that polar bears really aren’t dying off and glaciers really aren’t melting, they’re now saying it’s a “public health issue”. After all, everyone wants the best environment for their kids to grow up in, right?

Listen in as Dr. Sterling Burnett explains the EPA’s new hook to get people to buy into their lies.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Don't be Burned by Climate Scientists
Topic: EPA Lies
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Recently, the climate alarmists claimed that 2014 was the warmest year on record. People started freaking out. Government Officials said “no more fossil fuels – ever!” Al Gore was laughing all the way to the bank.

But Dr. Sterling Burnett and others say “Not so fast!” It wasn’t the warmest year. They have proof! Even if there was a slight rise in temperatures (99 to 99.0001), it’s called “weather”, not global warming or cooling or climate change. Weather.

Dr. Burnett also discusses weather “Homogenization”. This is the new climate scare tactic that is worse than Climategate. This is not science. It is down-right lies.

Listen as Dr. Burnett explains what they’re doing now.

Title: Low Gas Prices: Good or Bad
Topic: Oil and Gas Prices
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

The lower gas prices are great – right? But why is the price down so low? Dr. Sterling Burnett explains that, first, China is not demanding as much oil as they have in the past and, second, you can thank a fracker!

OPEC is still trying to take control of the oil and gas prices, wanting every oil producing country to reduce their oil output. But Saudi Arabia is not having any part of cutting back. Not this time. Listen in as Dr. Burnett explains why they won’t budge!

Back in October of 2014, Bloomberg predicted that the lower gas prices would free up as much as $60 Billion in 2015. The Wall Street Journal argues $75 Billion, saving each American family roughly $1,500 this year is gas prices alone.

However, Congress is attempting to take advantage of these lower gas prices by placing a higher carbon fuel tax on energy producing companies, which, in turn, will mean more money once again at the pump. Listen in as Dr. Burnett says that even if the US stopped using fossil fuels completely, there would be no effect on the global temperature. So, basically, the left’s argument of higher temperatures and more pollution is a bunch a bologna.

Title: Has the Pope Bought the Lie?
Topic: Global Cooling
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

The Pope is charged with not only saving souls but also with alleviating the suffering of world’s least fortunate. The Pope leads the Catholic Church, the largest Christian denomination in the world, in efforts to make the world a better place for all.

But, has the Pope bought the lies of the environmentalists? Dr. Sterling Burnett believes the Pope has been given misinformation about climate change. He even goes further to say that many evangelicals have been duped so badly that they are actually leading others astray from Biblical teachings. Instead of worshipping the Creator, they are worshipping the creation.

Why on earth would he say that? Listen in as Dr. Burnett explains this and discusses the recent global warming conference in Lemma, Peru, where environmentalists were arrested for disturbing a thousands-year-old historical land sight – on purpose! Talk about idiocy! What else happened in Peru?

Title: The Benefits of a Warmer World
Topic: Climate Change
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Part 1 of 2

The earth has been in a holding pattern for the past eighteen years in regards to global temperatures. In fact, during the entire 20th Century, the earth only warmed by about 1-1 ½ degrees. Is this what your children in public school (K-college) are being taught? Or are they being taught that man and the use of fossil fuels are ruining the environment?

Dr. Sterling Burnett says that warmer weather is actually better for the earth – and for people in general. Plants grow bigger and fuller. Animals are able to feed better. Humans live longer and are happier. Dr. Burnett also points out that there are more deaths in colder weather than in warmer weather!

Listen in as Dr. Burnett explains more about why warmer is better! He also talks about the lies the environmentalists are spreading about sea levels.

Title: Energy Poverty Part 2 of 2
Topic: Energy Poverty
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

As the United States and Western Europe reduces the use of fossil fuels, have we seen lower levels of CO2? We could stop using cars, stop using refrigerators, stop using air conditioning and heat, and the levels of CO2 would not decrease. Dr. Sterling explains how other natural resources are adding to CO2 emissions – not humans or fossil fuels.

Germans, for example, are voluntarily shutting off their air conditioning and heating systems because they simply cannot afford the high cost of electricity. Even in England, the elderly are buying cheap books to burn for heat during the winter! Listen in as Dr. Sterling describes why!

Title: What is an Ethical Humanist?
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Part 1 of 2

Environmentalists should be scared; very, very scared. In his new book, The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels, Alex Epstein makes one of the most compelling arguments for the moral value of fossil fuels and the need to increase their use Dr. Sterling Burnett has ever read.

Epstein is an ethical humanist; for him, the well-being of human life is the standard of value public policy should maximize. This ethical theory goes back to the ancient Greeks and went virtually unchallenged as a basis for judging right and wrong throughout human history, at least until recently.

Dr. Sterling Burnett explains why he finds Alex Epstein’s arguments so compelling and why environmentalists are running scared. Dr. Burnett also discusses the “biocentric philosophy” that views human changes to the environment as morally wrong and unnatural.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - What is an Ethical Humanist?
Topic: Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

When examining the use of fossil fuels, such as natural gas and coal, environmentalists never seem to point out the positive attributes; they only focus on the negative (which they exaggerate drastically). Dr. Sterling Burnett points out that you must look at the cost benefits of fossil fuels when arguing the case.

Take, for example, the amount of preventable deaths in Africa due to the lack of clean, fresh water could be avoided if the UN would allow more fossil fuels to be used to drill water wells! Their hospitals and clinics would change overnight.

Title: Will January 2015 Be the Coldest Yet?
Topic: Climate Change
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

The weather “experts” cannot even predict what the weather will be like this January. So, why are they “certain” about the earth’s climate 100, 200, 500 years from now?

Today, Dr. Sterling Burnett, with the Heartland Institute, discusses how a group of German scientists have finally come to their senses concerning climate change and the use of fossil fuels. Years ago, when the German authorities passed laws against the use of fossil fuels, they thought it would help their economy, but the exact opposite has been true! The Germans are now facing an energy crisis. Factories are leaving the country. Families cannot afford the outrageous energy costs to heat their homes.

While not all the Germans have jumped on board, those who have are spreading their message loud and clear. They recently released a study covering 10 different topics, such as temperature, extreme events, and polar bears, which refuted every climate model the alarmists have produced.

If the Germans can do it, why can’t we? Listen in as Dr. Burnett explains how the UN takes study material from the “experts” and doesn’t even read it all! They take bits and pieces of the reports which say “could be” or “might be” and change it to “predicted to be”. For example, in regards to the increase in temperatures, they take the most alarming numbers and report those as “fact” when, in reality, it “could be” an increase from 0.3 degrees to 4.6 degrees!

The UN needs to stop playing god and get back to helping the people of this world, giving them a real chance of survival using fossil fuels. Log on to www.Heartland.org  for more on this and other issues.

Title: The Defense Department is Wasting Millions Fighting Global Warming
Topic: Global Warming
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Thousands of America soldiers have been sent to African countries ravaged by Ebola, yet we cannot defeat terrorism in the Middle East – or even on American soil – or stop illegal immigration. What can our soldiers possibly do to combat Ebola? They aren’t doctors; they are soldiers.

So much money is being wasted on scare tactics when the real threats are being ignored. Russia has been sending airplanes to the Alaskan border. ISIS is killing thousands of people in the Middle East. Illegal immigrants from all over the world are flooding our borders. And don’t even get me started on North Korea or China.

Yet Chuck Hagel, the Secretary of Defense, goes to Peru to discuss global warming. He and other alarmists are trying to find a plan for the military to use to prepare for weather changes 100 years from now. They can’t even make up their minds about the hear-and-now! How can they predict 100 years from now? Hagel says if the temperature changes even a few degrees, our military will be helpless. Gee, thanks, SOD, for telling the world that the American military is a bunch of morons.

Our Earth has changed course so many times it’s hard to keep track of it all. Listen in as Sterling Burnett, the new managing editor of Heartland Institute, explains more about the military’s presence in Africa, global warming, and how Chuck Hagel is making America look like sissies.

Topic: Climate Change
Discussed by Sterling Burnett

For the last 33 years, 73 climate models have all predicted there would be much more warming than there has actually been. They all have been wrong, but the scientists who crunch out these numbers using ‘their’ biases are the ones attacking their academic collogues who disagree with them.

Congress should stop funding studies proposed by scientists who have been proven wrong by actual temperature readings. Taxpayers are being ripped off.

Title: Myths About Gun Control
Topic: Gun Control
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

Part 1 of 5

Does eating ice cream and hamburgers every day “make” someone overweight? Does the car “make” a drunk driver kill innocent people? Does a gun “make” a person a murderer?

Most people would answer “that’s just silly” to the first two questions, yet are firm believers in the third.

Fewer than one percent of all guns are involved in a crime and only twelve percent of all violent crimes involve a gun.

Even in Canada, Taiwan, and Jamaica, the murder rate sharply increased after strict gun laws were passed, so “gun control” is not just an American problem.

Title: Part 2 of 5
Topic: Gun Control
Discussed by Sterling Burnett
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)

One of the biggest arguments on the table about gun control is that guns are of little help in defending oneself against criminals. Women have been told to vomit or urinate on an attacker. Men have been told to use their fists. Well, if an attacker has a gun and you don’t, then a little puke or pee or fist pumping sure isn’t going to deter them in any way, shape, or form.

Each year, potential victims kill between 2,000 and 3,000 criminals and wound many more.

Furthermore, private citizens only mistakenly kill approximately 30 people per year, while 330 are killed by police.

So many people are under the mistaken belief that the only reason criminals buy, steal, or trade guns is to use the weapon in a crime. Fewer than half of all criminals think that handguns are important to use during a crime.

Criminals have guns to protect themselves against other criminals. Their main objective isn’t to kill the store clerk in a robbery. They just want the money. They use the gun to scare people.

Maybe they’ll believe you; maybe they won’t. But you’ve probably got them thinking…

Topic: Environmental Issues

The saying in football is: “No Pain – No Gain”! Dr. Burnett points out how the new EPA Air Quality Regulations are all PAIN and NO gain.

Why should we have to pay on average an 11% increase in our home electric bills? Why should area businesses have to pay on average a 35% increase in electricity prices?

Suggested ways for businesses to pay for their increase electric bills:
1. Pass costs onto consumers with higher prices
2. Hold wages flat or even reduce wages
3. Layoff an employee or employees
4. If a business cannot due one of the above, or a combination, then simply close down
