Texas Alliance for Life is a nonprofit organization of people
committed to protecting the fundamental right to life of all innocent human
beings. They are committed to promoting respect for their value
and dignity from the moment of conception until natural death.
Texas Alliance for Life has made it very simple for pro-life activists
to share the truth about pro-life laws in Texas with a new video series
entitled: “Post-Roe Texas”.
The following audio is the first in the series featuring Dr. Ingrid Skop, who
discusses ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, and the life of the mother in
emergency situations. Dr. Skop is a Texas-based OB/GYN and the Vice President
and Director of Medical Affairs for the Charlotte Lozier Institute.

Last week, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the Texas ban on live dismemberment abortions passed in 2017. The case,
Whole Woman's Health v. Paxton, does not ban any abortions, but it does prevent the dismemberment of the unborn child if the child is born alive.
Dr. Joe Pojman is the Executive Director of Texas Alliance for Life. Today, he explains how this decision will save even more babies in Texas.
Click
here for more information on this topic from Dr. Joe Pojman and
Texas Alliance for Life.
Questions/Issues Discussed:
Why did the Texas Supreme Court issue a rebuke of abortion providers?
What is a live dismemberment abortion?
Do pre-born babies feel pain? Dr. Pojman says this is a controversial topic, but he does believe, based on scientific evidence, that babies feel pain in the womb.
What exactly was the outcome of Whole Woman's Health v. Paxton in 2017? Does the law ban the abortion, or just on a “live” baby?
Will America ever outlaw abortion in America? Dr. Pojman briefly discusses the Dobbs case in Mississippi, which would not necessarily outlaw abortions, but does shed light onto the atrocities that occur through abortion and could ban some of the current procedures used to kill babies in the womb.
Dr. Joe Pojman, Executive Director for TAL, discusses SB 9: The
Human Life Protection Act, filed by State Sen. Angela Paxton (R-McKinney).
SB9 has been labeled the “Abortion Ban Trigger” bill. It has been filed
in the Texas House of Representatives as HB 1280 by Rep. Giovanni Capriglione
(R-Keller).
Questions/Issues Discussed:
What laws does Texas have laws in place that protect the pre-born?
What is “The Abortion Ban Trigger” bill?
Do other states have similar bills already in place?
If Texas does NOT pass the Human Life Protection Act and Roe v.
Wade is overturned, would abortions in Texas be illegal once again?
Republicans have the majority of members in the Texas House and the Texas
Senate. Are any pro-abortion? Should this bill pass both the House and Senate?
Is there anything more important than saving more babies?

Questions/Issues Discussed:
Are abortions decreasing in America?
How does Dr. Pojman respond to those who are pro-life but believe there should

Does a young women in a crisis pregnancy need support and love, not
condemnation?
Has Dr. Pojman ever met a woman who has chosen to abort her baby just because
she wanted to? Or has there always been pressure by an outside source?
Many pro-choice advocates claim that pro-lifers only care about the baby. Is
this true or false?
Why are some Crisis Pregnancy Centers changing their name to “Pregnancy
Resource Centers”? What are other names some centers are using now?
Do ultrasound machines really save babies?

Dr. Joe Pojman answers questions today concerning the recent ruling by U.S. Judge David A. Ezra, which struck down the portion of Senate Bill 8 that bans the desecration of human remains after elective abortions and miscarriages. Dr. Pojman is the Executive Director of
Texas Alliance for Life.
Questions/Issues Discussed:
Are abortionists in Texas really flushing the remains of aborted babies down toilets and/or putting them in baggies and throwing the baby in dumpsters?
In Texas, if a drunk driver kills the baby of a pregnant woman, is the driver charged with a homicide/murder?
Why is the abortionist protected from criminal charges?
Texas Alliance for Life was a strong advocate for Senate Bill 8 during the last Legislative Session in Texas. Listen as Dr. Pojman discusses some of the details of this bill.

Throughout history, leaders have lied to their followers. Planned Parenthood
is no different. Personal opinions concerning abortion aside, most people can agree that selling baby body parts is unethical.
Dr. Joe Pojman is here today to discuss the recently released Congressional Report regarding this issue and the future may look like.
Questions/Issues Discussed:
Did the Congressional Report discover that Planned Parenthood was in fact extracting body parts from live babies?
Did the committee come to the conclusion that Planned Parenthood broke the law?
Have teaching medical schools in Texas received baby body parts from Planned Parenthood?
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Lt. Governor Dan Patrick have communicated privately with Terry Lowry concerning this issue. What were there comments?
If this disgusts you, do something about it! Listen as Dr. Pojman gives information on how you can help.

Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn both serve on the Committee which released the nearly 600-page report concerning
Planned Parenthood selling baby body parts. Neither of their offices have offered a press release regarding their decision. Why not?
Does the US Attorney have the authority to prosecute and punish Planned Parenthood?
What are some of the plans in the upcoming Texas Legislature?
Dr. Pojman states: “We are fighting pure evil. There is no question. We have to stop it, but it will be hard.” Are you ready to help? Click

The Texas Alliance for Life PAC (separate from the pro-life group) has endorsed
Gary Gates for the Texas Railroad Commission. Dr. Joe Pojman and others within
the PAC feel strongly that every elected official should be pro-life, “right
down to the dog catcher”. This is a state-wide office, and their specific job
may not require them to be pro-life, but Dr. Joe believes they should be!
What is so important about the Texas Railroad Commission? First, the Commission
doesn’t deal with matters pertaining to the railroad. The Commission’s chief
duty is to maintain the Oil and Gas Industry. Choosing Gary Gates over his
opponent was not a hard choice. He and his wife are extremely pro-life. In fact,
they have adopted nine children out of Child Protective Services. In addition,
he is a very successful business and that is something the Commission sorely
needs.
Listen in as Dr. Pojman explains in more detail why it is important for all
elected officials to be pro-life.

The Federal Drug Administration is responsible for ensuring the
pharmaceuticals we put into our bodies are safe. However, the FDA
does not cross-check or verify testing result. In fact, they do not even have
labs! The FDA bases their approval or denial solely on the information they
receive from the drug manufacturer.
The focus of this interview with Dr. Joe Pojman, Director of Texas Alliance
for Life, is the abortion drug pill Mifiprex (commonly referred to as
RU486) and misoprostal. The FDA recently changed the guidelines for both pills –
and not in a positive way. In 2013, the Texas Legislature passed HB2, which
required four separate visits to an abortion facility in order to use RU486 and
misoprostal. This law was to not only protect the unborn baby, but the woman, as
well.
“The FDA messed with us, and I’m very unhappy with what they did,” Dr.
Joe Pojman declares. Dr. Pojman explains HB2, the contents, and what the FDA is
changing about the procedure. If you are unfamiliar with RU486, it kills the
woman’s baby. The purpose of misoprostol is to expel the baby, which creates
substantial hemorrhaging and other complex problems. HB2 required the woman to
be in the presence of a medical physician during this process. The FDA is now
saying the woman can administer the pill in her own home, without medical
supervision.
“It is a pretty serious deal that woman is going through. To just give her
the pill and tell her to take it on her own, that’s just not prudent. That’s not
the way women should be treated in Texas,” Dr. Pojman declares
passionately. Even the liberal, pro-abortion country of Finland is beginning to
see the negative impact abortion pills have on women. Listen in as Dr. Joe
reveals the results of a study from Finland concerning this issue.
How do we hold the abortionist and the abortion industry accountable? Between
2000 and 2013 (when HB2 was passed), up to 18,000 Texas women each year were
taking the RU486 pill to kill their baby. One in five women experience harmful
complications after ingesting the pill. If one in five cars were defective,
causing injury or death, how long would it be until that car manufacturer was
sued out of business?
Pray for women and babies everywhere. Pray for the abortionist and abortion
clinic workers. Pray for abortion activists. Pray for our President and all
Elected Officials, that those who support abortion will have a change of heart.
Pray that those who fight to protect women and unborn babies will continue to
speak out, never wavering in their passion to save more babies.
The Texas Rally for Life is great for the whole family. It reminds older kids of the importance of staying pure until marriage. It helps little ones understand that every life is precious. The Texas Rally for Life is a great teaching moment and a wonderful witnessing opportunity.
Dr. Joe Pojman, Executive Director of Texas Alliance for Life and the organizer of the Rally, says this of the importance of the Rally: “We have to [do this]. Men and women are harmed by abortion. Babies are being killed. The Rally has a great effect on the media and the Texas Legislature. What happens in Texas is adopted in many other states.”
Please encourage your friends and church family to come to the annual Texas Rally for Life TOMORROW in Austin. At NOON, participants will meet at 18th Street and North Congress in Austin. There will be dozens of pro-life groups with information about their cause and how people can help save more babies. After this Ministry Fair, at 1 pm everyone will begin to gather and line up for the march to the Capitol. At 1:30 pm, the march to the Capitol begins. Then, finally at 2 pm, the Rally will commence at the steps of the Capitol.
Note: If you are worried about parking for the Rally, don’t fret! There is plenty of FREE parking near the event. Click

If you have plans for this Saturday, January 23, cancel them! Unless, of course, those plans include heading to Austin to join pro-life friends in solidarity for the sanctity of life. Dr. Joe Pojman says the Texas Rally for Life is a “huge statement to the main stream media that Texas is pro-life”. Numerous pro-life laws have been passed in the Texas Legislature over the last decade, and the Texas Rally for Life plays a key role in those victories.
This year’s Texas Rally for Life features special speaker
Melissa Ohden, a saline abortion survivor. She has an amazing testimony and is a great advocate for the pro-life movement. You don’t want to miss this year’s Texas Rally for Life! Make plans to attend with your family.
The Texas Rally for Life will be held this Saturday, January 23 in Austin. The Rally begins at 18th Street and North Congress Ave at NOON with a Ministry Fair. What is the Ministry Fair? Dr. Joe Pojman explains that over forty organizations sponsor the Texas Rally for Life. They will all be at the beginning point of the Rally with more information about their mission projects and how you can become involved.
Another fun thing to do with your family before or after the Texas Rally for
Life is to take a tour of the capitol building. It is a beautiful building and
you can even plan a picnic lunch on the grounds! All the information about the
2016 Texas Rally for Life can be found here.
Over 57 Million children have been murdered in America through
abortion. This number is absolutely appalling and unbelievable.
The 2016 Texas Rally for Life is coming up on Saturday, January 23 in Austin.
Dr. Joe Pojman has been involved with over twenty-five rallies and has no plans
to stop fighting for the unborn any time soon. “In 1973, the United States
Supreme Court made abortion legal. We cannot allow it to stand and that is why
we come back year after year. We value human life. Our policies must protect
babies,” Dr. Joe says passionately.
All the information about the 2016 Texas Rally for Life can be found here.
Just before
the end of 2015, the Texas Supreme Court released rules for how courts handle
judicial bypass proceedings regarding secret abortions on minor girls without
parental notification or consent.
The rules were created in
response to HB 3994, authored by Rep. Geanie Morrison (R-Victoria) and sponsored
by Sen. Charles Perry (R-Lubbock) and strongly supported by Texas Alliance
for Life.
This is a major win for the pro-life movement. Dr. Joe Pojman, Executive
Director of Texas Alliance for Life, says, “These bring to fruition
a 10-year effort by Texas Alliance for Life and a coalition of pro-life
organizations to protect minor girls in Texas from abortion. The reforms closed
loopholes and increased protections for the minors from abuse. The Texas Supreme
Court has faithfully implemented House Bill 3994 in a way that will best protect
the well-being of minor girls.”
The loopholes that have been resolved with this new ruling are: 1) The girl must
appear in court in the county of her residence (minor girls have been allowed to
“judge shop” to find one that would be more favorable); 2) The girl must appear
in court personally (previously, girls could video chart with the judge or be on
a conference call); and 3) The girl will be appointed an ad litem, separate from
her attorney, to determine whether the girl is telling the truth and is really
mature enough to withstand an abortion. Listen in as Dr. Pojman explains each of
these rules and why they are vital to the survival of more unborn babies.
Please make plans to stand with other pro-life activists from across the state
of Texas at the annual Rally for Life in Austin on January 23, 2016.

Texas has the strongest restrictions on abortion in the nation. This is
definitely an issue which we at the What’s UP Radio Program are proud to
support. Dr. Joe Pojman is with Texas Alliance for Life and is the main sponsor
of the annual Texas Rally for Life in Austin. This year marks the 43rd
anniversary of Roe v Wade and the killing of nearly 60 million babies in
America.
The Texas Rally for Life is an important part of the battle against abortion in
the state of Texas – and across the nation. “It is really important for people
to show our respect for the dignity and the need to protect human life from
abortion,” Dr. Pojman says. It makes a statement to our elected officials and the media that Texas supports life. Listen in to the next segment with Dr. Pojman as he gives more details about the annual Texas Rally for Life in Austin this January 23, 2016.
Texas has accomplished a lot over the last six years in our fight to
save more babies: passing the ultrasound bill, defeating the wrongful birth law,
and shutting down many Planned Parenthood clinics across the state
which were unsafe for women and babies. We still have a long way
to go, though, as Dr. Pojman points out in this segment. “We are very hard
at work every day trying to protect and save more babies,” he says. TAL and
other organizations have also worked tirelessly to help those at the end of
their life because all lives matters, not just babies and mothers.
Please make plans to attend the Texas Rally for Life on January 23,
2016 in Austin. This year’s featured speaker is Melissa Ohden, an abortion
survivor. For all the details, click

Back in the 1970’s, the Texas Legislature halted all state funding
for abortions in the state. This law only affected the actual
abortion procedure, not the other women’s services Planned Parenthood and other
women’s clinics performed.
Governor Greg Abbott recently stopped all Medicaid reimbursement to Planned
Parenthood facilities in the state of Texas. This is a huge step in
shutting down the abortion mill for good! Dr. Joe Pojman, with Texas
Alliance for Life, says, “He has put Planned Parenthood on notice.”
If the courts uphold this, they (Planned Parenthood) will not receive
any further tax dollars in the state of Texas.
Thanks to research and investigations, it has come to light that Planned
Parenthood has been engaging in Medicaid fraud for years. This new law
affects five abortion facilities and thirty birth control centers affiliated
with Planned Parenthood. It does not affect any other women’s health
clinics (most of which do not perform any abortions).
Dr. Pojman explains some of the evidence behind the investigation and why
Governor Abbot finally signed the law banning all Medicaid reimbursement to
Planned Parenthood facilities in the state. He also describes the appeal
process, what happens to the funds while we are waiting for judicial rule, and
the final result if the law is upheld.
The Annual Texas Alliance for Life Benefit Dinner will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in Austin. Abby Johnson will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Joe Pojman says “Abby was instrumental in helping pass key legislation the past few Legislative cycles.” Her input, as a former
Planned Parenthood facility director, was very helpful in forming several bills, specifically the sonogram bill that Lt. Governor Dan Patrick authored in 2011 when he was a Senator.
Texas Alliance for Life is a non-partisan pro-life organization. However, the majority of Republicans are pro-life so they tend to have more contact with them rather than Democrats. Dr. Pojman discusses the gradual shift in Hispanics from Democrat to Republican and how vital it is that Republicans in Texas keep fighting for the unborn. If we give in or give up, there will be no turning back. Pro-life issues are still extremely important the majority of American people, especially Texans.
Cecil Richards recently testified before Congress concerning Planned
Parenthood and their “practices”. Dr. Pojman reveals how Cecil
admitted the truth about their so-called mammogram machines! “Finally, after
all these years of misleading the public and elected officials…she admits that
Planned Parenthood does not have a single mammogram machine anywhere in the
country,” he says.
Texas Legislators have successfully removed all state funding for Planned
Parenthood, although they still receive a small amount from the State Medicaid
program. This practice will hopefully disappear with a new President. Join Dr.
Pojman and others in prayer that Congress will ultimately defund Planned
Parenthood for good.
NOTE: The state funds are now being used at 4,600 Women’s Health Clinics
across the state to really give women the care and attention they need and
deserve.
Listen in as Dr. Joe Pojman discusses more of Cecil Richard’s testimony before
Congress. How many lies can one person tell?
“The state of Texas is funding Women’s Health Clinics at historically high
levels.” This statement made by Texas Alliance for Life Executive Director, Dr.
Joe Pojman, has caused quite a stir. So much so that someone even asked
Politifact Texas to prove it! Their report can be found [here].
FACT: More than 500 licenses for mammogram machines have been issued to
facilities in the state of Texas. NONE of those license holders are within a
Planned Parenthood facility. NONE. Therefore,
Planned Parenthood does NOT
perform mammograms at any of their clinics in the state of Texas.
Dr. Pojman would also like to point out that, while Planned Parenthood does
offer women services other than abortions, a woman will not see an actual
physician unless she receive an abortion. In other words, if a woman visits a
Planned Parenthood facility for a cervical screening, she will only see and
discuss the situation with a nurse. If she receives a positive test result, she
will be referred to another facility, usually a Women’s Health Clinic. Planned
Parenthood cannot treat her. Unless, of course, she wants an abortion.
Another FACT: Children can’t be seen at a Planned Parenthood facility (unless
it’s for an abortion), but they can be seen and treated at most of the Women’s
Health Clinics!
If a woman visits one of over 4,000 other Women’s Health Clinics in the state of
Texas for a cervical screening, she will see a physician. If the woman needs
treatment, she will be helped at that very site from a physician – she won’t
have to go from place to place looking for help. This is a big deal, people. “We
want to consolidate those services into those places where a woman can be
screened and treated at the same place. And where her children can be treated as
well,” Dr. Pojman says.
The Annual Texas Alliance for Life Benefit Dinner will be
on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in Austin. Abbey Johnson, a former
Planned Parenthood facility director, will be the keynote speaker.
Abbey has been directly involved in many of the pro-life bills that have been
passed in recent years in Texas.

Many people were shocked and horrified when a Planned Parenthood staff member
was seen on camera sharing details of how they (the PP corporation) harvests and
sells body parts from aborted babies. Even many who consider themselves
pro-choice were disgusted with the revelation.
Dr. Joe Pojman is the Executive
Director for Texas Alliance for Life. He is not surprised by the recent news
about Planned Parenthood given they make the majority of their money murdering
babies. In fact, one of TAL’s trusted sources,
Abby Johnson left Planned Parenthood because they pushed and
pushed their staff members to sell more and more abortions.
Dr. Pojman also discusses when abortion is legal is Texas and recent laws signed
into Texas law that have helped save more babies.

How do you kill 11 million people? When the trains carrying the Jews to the
death camps would pass by a local church, parishioners would just sing louder
and louder until they could no longer hear the desperate cries from the people
onboard. How many people in the church today sing louder and louder until they
can no longer hear the cries of the 55 Million babies that have been murdered in
America?
Dr. Joe Pojman is hopeful that more Americans will wake up to the horrific
practice of abortion and maybe – just maybe – we can put an end to the slaughter
once and for all. Listen in as he discusses recent statistics about abortion and
the increasing support we are receiving. “Yes, we have made gains, but we have
still have far to go,” Dr. Pojman says. Never stop fighting to save one more
baby.

Bernard Rosenfeld, who was performing abortions illegally out of his private
medical office in Houston. The complaint alleged that Dr. Rosenfeld was
performing about two abortions every other day in his office, well above the 50
per year threshold requiring abortion facility licensure according to state law.
The TMB opened an investigation, and in October Ms. Groff provided testimony.
Dr. Joe Pojman, the Executive Director of TAL, is ecstatic that the TMB ruled in
February of 2015 that Dr. Rosenfeld violated the Texas abortion facility
licensing law. However, while the TMB could have denied, suspended, or revoked
his license, they chose to merely issue a remedial plan that has two
requirements: eight additional hours of continuing medical education and a
payment of $500 per year for administering the plan.
Listen in as Dr. Pojman gives the facts about the case and why Texas should have
more laws regarding abortionists and their clinics. “We are definitely heading
in the right direction, but there is still a lot of work to do,” he says. There
are several bills that have already been introduced concerning abortion laws and
regulations of abortion clinics, and Dr. Pojman discusses these, as well.

Issues discussed might be upsetting to little ears.
The Democrats blame “mad white men” for the recent ruling of a Louisiana
appellate court to uphold HB2 in Texas. Dr. Joe Pojman, with the Texas Alliance
for Alliance, discusses an email sent by Democrat leaders about the ruling.
Lisa Paul, the Deputy Communications Director for the Texas Democrat Party, said
in an email that women will suffer from this “restrictive, unconstitutional
law”. They claim that Republicans are forcing women’s health clinics to close
and are denying women the right to choose. They say that closing clinics reduces
women’s access to prenatal care, cancer screenings, mammograms, and annual
wellness visits. And, finally, they assert that HB2 is an assault on women,
dragging women by their hair back to the “mad men era”.
One of the left’s biggest arguments with HB2 is the provision requiring abortion
doctors have hospital privileges. If you were having an out-patient surgical
procedure in your physician’s office, you would want that doctor to have
visiting privileges at a nearby hospital. You wouldn’t allow your child to be
operated on in an out-patient clinic if their physician wasn’t allowed in the
nearest hospital! Why should it be any different for abortion doctors?
Even former President Bill Clinton said he thinks abortion should be safe and
rare! Come on, Dems! Get with the program! Too many women are scarred for their
life, both physically and emotionally, from abortion. Some even die! We cannot
allow this to continue. We’re not pushing women back to the Stone Age. HB2
cleans up dirty clinics, and causes some to close by their choice not wanting to
come up to standards, Why do liberal women (and men) oppose safe abortions?
Disclaimer: Use caution when listening to this segment around young children.
Issues discussed might be upsetting to little ears.
Pro-life advocates are not the only people who have witnessed unsanitary
conditions in many women’s health clinics, aka abortion facilities. Even the
Department of Health has documentation of horrific unhygienic environments. They
also noted many facilities did not have up-to-code rooms or hallways large
enough to accommodate patients safely or in an emergency situation.
What I find most disturbing are the clinics where nurses and other aides aren’t
trained properly on how to clean surgical instruments – even using the same
tools on more than one patient without being sterilized! There are cases where
the DOH has fined the same clinic on more than once occasion for these
violations. No! Just…NO! This is not acceptable.
Bringing abortion clinics up to the required “standard of care” is just a
no-brainer. Other ambulatory facilities must meet these standards. Abortion
clinics should be required to meet them as well. I will say it again… This is
the opposite of the war on women. So far opposite. We are trying to save more
women, not kill them or ruin their lives.

Recently the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals released its opinion upholding two provisions of the Texas abortion regulation law passed last summer. The panel is comprised of three female appellate judges. More babies will live because of this.
"We are pleased that the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals agrees with the overwhelming majority of the Texas Legislature that the state has a right to increase safety standards at abortion facilities to protect the health and safety of women," said Joe Pojman, Ph.D., executive director of Texas Alliance for Life.

Title: Obama Administration denies Texas’ application for Medicaid Family Planning Program because Planned Parenthood is Not Funded. Topic: Holiday Season
Please comment on
the statement made by Larry Kellner, former chairman and CEO of
Continental Airlines and current president of Emerald Creek Group, a private
equity firm based in Houston, as quoted by the Houston Chronicle on the value of
Planned Parenthood:
“The non-profit should be beyond political games” he said, “as it provides vital
medical services to many.” He added that “97 percent of those services are
cancer screenings, medical check-ups, and prenatal care for expectant families”.
From Houston Chronicle
Does Planned Parenthood do breast cancer screenings? Do they have to have
mammogram machine at each facility in the state of Texas?
Recently the
centers for Medicare and Medicaid services sent a letter to Texas health and
Human and Services Commission stating that it was denying the state’s request to
extend Medicaid women’s health program for Texas if it enforces the new Texas
law, what is this about?
Should the abortion industry be getting rich off our tax dollars? Has the Obama
Administration Denied Texas’ application for Medicaid family planning program
because Planned Parenthood is not funded?
Dr. Pojman explains, first, what does the new Sonogram Bill require of the
abortionists and the woman seeking an abortion.
Dr. Pojman continues by explaining that a Federal Judge put the brakes on the
Sonogram Bill from taking effect.
Do abortionists already perform a sonogram but do they refuse to show it to the
woman even though she would like to see it? But why would the abortionists
already perform a sonogram prior to any abortion? For more, log onto

heart beat. They just give her that option. But, will it increase the cost for
her abortion? Listen in for the answer. For all the up-to-date details, log onto

Everyone pays taxes on certain items in Texas. But, where do these tax dollars go? Our Elected Officials give hundreds of millions of dollars to researchers to perform embryonic stem research - which kills babies. So, are each of us guilty of killing babies, too? YES! We must stop this now! Visit www.texasallianceforlife.org to find out how you can help!
In a major pro-life victory, the Texas Medical Board voted to require that abortion doctors must obtain the written consent of a parent or guardian before performing an abortion on a minor girl and that the signature be notarized. Planned Parenthood and the abortionists fought this 'tooth and nail'. Thank you for making those calls and lifting up all the prayers.

Why should you be forced to pay to kill babies? Keep this in your prayers: Next fall the Supreme Court will consider the constitutionality of the federal ban on partial-birth abortions, which was signed into law in 2003 by President Bush and challenged by abortion providers. The Court will hear oral arguments on Wednesday, November 8, on two similar cases. A decision could be issued anytime before the end of June 2007. For more information and updates visit www.texasallianceforlife.org
Why should you and I have to pay to kill babies? Please call Senator Hutchison and explain to her staff that US taxpayers should not be forced to kill embryos and pay for it. Please call Senator Hutchison and ask her to vote NO on HR 810. Senator Hutchison number is 202-224-5922.

Dr. Pojman thanks you, our great listeners, for all the phone calls you have made this session on the Parental Consent issue. The Texas Senate has approved language for Parental Consent. Please call Lt. Governor David Dewhurst and thank him for his leadership. We too often fail to thank someone for a job well done. Please call 512.463.4630 and ask for his office.

Speaker Tom Craddick says the [Texas] House had approved all of its major legislation this session. To me, that's an incorrect statement: no pro-life legislation has passed the Texas House. Is he a PLINO or a PLIWO? The Senate has yet to hear debate on the Senate version of Parental Consent - SB 1150. Will you call your State Senator and express your opinion? Switch Board Number: 512.463.4630 give them your home address and they will patch you through to your State Senator.
The Texas House Calendar's Committee let 3 needed pro-life bills die in committee. And, due to a simple mistake and then lack of time, the House version of the Parental Consent Bill died. How many innocent babies will die because of this? We must work better, smarter and faster.

Dr. Joe Pojman with Texas Alliance for Life, www.texasallianceforlife.org, explains the reasons to favor a Parental Consent Bill in the Texas legislature.
Should pro-life conservatives support a ban on human cloning? What about parental consent and involvement before a minor has an abortion? If I favor sedating an unborn before it is killed, does that make me Pro-Abortion? The opposition is chattering about pro-life victories and they are worried that we are winning, praise God!
