Title: America’s Failed Energy Policies and the Reason Why
Topic: Obama's War on Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Dr. James Rust
with Heartland Institute (www.Heartland.org)
Obama’s ideas on energy reform are “based upon curtailing use
of fossil fuels, in particular coal, due to fears carbon dioxide produced from
combustion cause catastrophic global warming,” writes Dr. James Rust, with
the Heartland Institute. He is a retired nuclear engineering professor with over 50 years of experience in areas related to energy policy.
Listen in as Dr. Rust discusses the President’s energy policies and why he and others are just flat wrong.
Questions/Issues Discussed:
What is Obama’s energy policy based upon?
Is there evidence that fossil fuels cause catastrophic global warning? Dr. Rust calls is “garbage in and garbage out.”
Did the Progressive, Democrat controlled Presidency cause the collapse of the oil prices worldwide? Or, did the focus of the oil industry drilling more wells in the US cause the collapse of the oil prices worldwide?
President Obama has stated that we need to exploit “every available source of American energy – oil, gas, wind, solar, nuclear, biofuels, and more.” Is this really double-speak and was Obama disingenuous?
Is there much research showing that it requires more energy to make Ethanol than is contained in the product? Dr. Rust warns that “bad things are in our future” if we allow the government to increase the amount of Ethanol in gasoline. Listen in as he explains.
Do electric cars really help reduce the use of fossil fuels?
Should new nuclear plants be part of the equation for reducing our dependency on fossil fuels?
Is the administration “riding the wrong horse” with regards to its energy policy?

Title: Why Won’t Obama just Drill Here?
Topic: Obama's War on Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Dan Kish
with Institute for Energy Research (www.instituteforenergyresearch.org)
New guest Dan Kish is the Senior Vice President of Policy for the
Institute for Energy Research. He says, “The Good Lord gave us
all these natural resources. The government has been telling us for a long time
that we’re running out and can’t use them.” But the government is wrong!
Even the dictionary disagrees with the President! Listen in as Dan Kish explains
why.
Thanks to Texas, Pennsylvania, and a few other states, America has become the
number one producer of oil and gas in the world. Dan wants everyone to be sure
that Obama is NOT to be thanked for any of our success! Four years ago,
President Obama stated that “we can’t drill our way to lower gas prices”.
He boldly states, “He is dead wrong! He’s been dead wrong on all of his
energy [policies]. All he’s going to do is make us poorer.”
Dan Kish also discusses President Obama’s broken promise of exploring and
developing areas off the East Coast for oil and gas. Just recently, the
Administration released their five-year plan. Dan calls it “The most anemic
five year off-shore Federal leasing plan in history.” And guess what? It
doesn’t include the East OR West Coast! The plan also doesn’t include 45% of the
Gulf of Mexico and soon it will shut down Alaska.
The lower price of oil is not ideal for everyone, especially those who work
offshore. However, lower energy prices bring more jobs back to America. This is
exactly why drilling here in America makes sense. By exporting oil and gas to
other countries around the world, we could increase employment dramatically.
“If it weren’t for the increase in oil production in the United States, we would
not be moving the economy forward at all,” Dan reveals.

Title: Which is the Greater Threat?
Topic: Obama's War on Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Kathleen White
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)
According to Obama and left, the greatest threat to civilization is man-made
global warming, or climate change, as they like to call it now. Threats from
Islamist Terrorists are mute, again according to Obama. But do Americans
understand the difference in the “threats”? Are Americans as dumb as Obama
thinks they are? Kathleen White, distinguished Senior Fellow and Director of the
Center for Energy and Environment at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, reveals
what recent polls are indicating concerning about the public’s view of the
“greatest threat”.
Scientific modules, which measure the changes in temperature around the globe,
confirm that the earth’s temperature has not changed in nearly 20 years. So
what’s all the hype about? Why is there a dire need to reduce the amount of
fossil fuels used globally? Kathleen White explains why the left is shying away
from global warming and has moved on to “climate change”.
Obama’s ultimate goal is to reduce the amount of fossil fuels used to zero.
None. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Kathleen White says, “There is not a comparable
renewable energy source that even comes close to fossil fuels in efficiency and
cost. Wind, water, and solar are only able to fill a small niche.” The only
source that could even be consider is nuclear energy. Listen in as Kathleen
explains why this isn’t really an option, either.
A recent UN official stated that we need to “depopulate the world”. Who makes
the choice of who lives and who dies?

Title: The Green Campaign to Restrict Trade in Fossil Fuels
Topic: Obama's War on Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Dr. Marlo Lewis
with Competitive Enterprise Institute www.cei.org
The left hates fossil fuels. They just hate them. They hate everything about
them, even the good stuff! They hate progress. They hate humans. They just don’t
understand that their cell phones, laptops, cars (yes, even smart cars!),
toasters, TV’s, refrigerators, pretty much everything else uses electricity!
Fossil fuels are the cheapest, easiest, most efficient source for electricity.
But, they just don’t get it.
Dr. Marlo Lewis doesn’t know exactly “why” the left hates fossil fuels so much.
It just doesn’t make sense to him! And what about CO2? Back in the days of the
dinosaurs, the CO2 levels were so much higher than they are now! So why are the
greenies crying and crying over the CO2 levels now? Do they really just not
understand?
Listen in as Dr. Lewis reviews a report from the State Department concerning the
Keystone Pipeline and why it has the left so hopping mad! It’s all about supply
and demand. Supply and demand. The oil will get here one way or another. It just
makes sense to build the pipeline! Bottom line: It is efficient – both
economically and financially. You can find Dr. Marlo Lewis [here]
or [here].

Title: Putin Wins. America Loses.
Topic: Obama's War on Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Liz Peek
with Liz Peek (www.LizPeek.com)
President Obama’s
push to restrict coal usage in the United States is a great gift to China and
Russia. Energy markets are global and if we substitute natural gas
for coal to produce electricity, we will drive coal prices down and gas (and
oil) prices higher.
However, the new EPA regulations promoted by Obama will make it cheaper for
China to import significant amounts of coal in the years ahead.
What does this mean for America and our relationship with Putin?
Liz Peek is a columnist for Fox News and The Fiscal Times. Listen in as she
discusses Obama’s War on Fossil Fuels.

Title: Duke Energy CEO Jim Rogers Challenged Over His Support of President Obama’s War on Fossil Fuels
Topic: Obama's War on Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Tom Borelli
with National Center for Public Policy Research (www.NationalCenter.org)
Obama desires to skyrocket the price of electricity and Obama’s
administration sees nothing wrong with $8 per gallon of gasoline. The social and
political elitists will NOT be hurt with skyrocketing increases in energy costs
but what about you? Why should a major corporation like Duke Energy lobby for
Cap and Trade and why should Duke Energy provide the Democratic Convention a $10
million dollar line of credit? Are they buying political favors? For more on
this issue and to find Tom Borelli, log onto

Title: Obama’s War on Fossil Fuels
Topic: Obama's War on Fossil Fuels
Discussed by Deneen Borelli
with Project 21 (www.NationalCenter.org)
Deneen Borelli explains why congress needs to step up and stop the EPA’s
unrestrained effort to regulate our economy. The EPA is to implement
legislation, not write legislation. She states today, “Our future economic
prosperity depends on having cheap and abundant supply of energy. Obama’s war on
fossil fuels is really a war on the American way of life. Given the
high-unemployment rate and soaring gasoline prices it’s unconscionable that
Obama is allowing an agency under his control to add to the economic burdens on
Americans for no meaningful benefit to the environment.”
