Title: UPDATE: Satanic Statue at the University of Houston
Topic: Satan in Our Schools
Discussed by Reverend Dave Welch
with US Pastor Council (US Pastor Council)

On February 26, 2024, Reverend Dave Welch with the US Pastor Council revealed disturbing information coming out of the University of Houston. Today, he offers an update on the status of the proposed satanic statue.

Click here to receive FREE updates on this and other issues from the US Pastor Council.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Who does the satanic statue symbolize? Has it been “traveling” across the country?

Did the UH administration previously state they would not allow this satanic statue to be displayed on campus?

Why did Reverend Dave Welch and other pastors silently protest the statute? Have other organizations silently protested at the statue as well?

Why has Renu Khator, the Chancellor and President of UH, refused to meet with Reverend Welch and others concerning the removal of this Satanic statue?

Too many Christians cower in the shadows and do not stand up against the onslaught of evil spreading across our land. Are we too polite?

Who are some of the other pastors joining this fight to remove the satanic idol from UH?

What can Christians do to take our message onto college campuses across the country?

Title: Is a Revival Possible in the Midst of Disobedience?
Topic: Christian Responsibilities
Discussed by Reverend Dave Welch
with US Pastor Council (US Pastor Council)

Dave Welch, President of the US Pastor Council, recently wrote a compelling editorial  urging Christ-followers to stop being complacent and stop ignoring the blatant sin in our country. He wrote: “It’s not politics; it’s ministry!”

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Is the cry for revival widespread?

Do sins hide the face of God from His people? Dave reminds us that God does not require sacrifice from us, but obedience. He also urges us, as Christ-followers, to unite to bring our country back to God.

Is the Church deaf, blind, and/or silent to the evil permeating our society, our communities, and our homes?

Do the elected leaders of Houston reflect the values of Christ? Dave quotes Micah 6:8, saying: “When we accommodate sin, we accommodate evil… and our position as a nation is a deep reflection of the ineffectiveness of the Church to bring transformation in Christ’s name to the culture around us.”

When it comes to elections, are Christ-followers content to vote for the lesser of two evils?

Is it time for Christ-followers to take a stand for righteousness and holiness?

In Dave’s opinion, why don’t more godly men and women run for political office? Dave Welch urges people to listen for God’s voice and direction and to be obedient to the call of public office.

Title: Parents Have the Right to Choose their Child’s Education Path
Topic: School Choice
Discussed by Reverend Dave Welch
with US Pastor Council (US Pastor Council)

Pastor Charles Johnson with Pastors for Texas Children once declared that the act of allowing parents access to their own money to choose the best educational environment is “sinful”.

Reverend Dave Welch, President of the US Pastor Council, disputes this claim wholeheartedly. In fact, Reverend Welch writes: “Children are a gift from the Lord according to Psalm 127:3 and parents are given primary duty before God to train up a child in His way, so they should not be forced into an atmosphere hostile to that charge as well as not even meeting basic academic needs.”

Click here to read Dave Welch’s op-ed on this issue.

Click here for the latest on news and currents events from the US Pastor Council.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Is the group Pastors for Texas Children really a front group for teacher unions? Reverend Dave Welch reveals who funds this group and warns Christians, especially church leaders, to ignore their suggestions.

Are public schools really “government” schools?

Should the state/government have a complete monopoly through forced taxation without parental freedom over the education of children? Reverend Welch gives a brief history lesson – something we all should know and remember. He also wonders why a school district in North Texas has been given nearly $100 MILLION for a new football stadium, but is begging for money for other areas. He says: “It’s not just a monopoly; it’s a conspiracy to control.”

Does a monopoly always produce inefficiency, waste, and cost more?

Are children being forced into an atmosphere hostile to the morals and values of their parents?

Have many pastors joined with the US Pastor Council working to empower parents through Universal Education Savings Accounts?

Title: Does God Care?
Topic: Elections Matter
Discussed by Reverend Dave Welch
with US Pastor Council (US Pastor Council)

Dave Welch is the President of the US Pastor Council. Today he discusses why it is important for Christians to vote and be involved in politics.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Does it matter to God who we choose to govern us?

Does it matter if the laws of our land conform to or violate God’s standards of justice?

Do Christians have a personal and corporate responsibility for choosing godly leaders to make and enforce those laws?

If Christians stop voting or being involved in the political process, what will happen?

Should Christians encourage, recruit, and equip women and men of ability, reputation, character, integrity, and proven faith to serve in governing positions?

Should pastors teach and apply biblical principles to the issues of the day?

Should pastors teach biblical citizenship within their church?

Title: Log Cabin Republicans
Topic: Log Cabin Republicans
Discussed by Reverend Dave Welch
with US Pastor Council (US Pastor Council)

The Log Cabin Republicans (LCR) have requested full recognition from the Republican Party of Texas as a coalition. They have also requested booth space at the State Convention.

Dave Welch, the President of the US Pastor Council, explains why we CANNOT allow the LCR to be recognized by the Republican Party of Texas.

You can learn more about the US Pastor Council here

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Are the following organizations/groups permitted to join the Republican Party, attend the State Convention, and/or receive booth space at the convention?
Communist Party of the USA

Planned Parenthood
Texans for a Closed Shop
State National Man/Boy Love Association

Does the law allow private organizations to exclude some from joining their membership?

So…. who are the Log Cabin Republicans? What is their goal? Why do the LCR want full membership to the Republican Party and a booth at the TRSC? Why did the Republican State Committee reject their petition? Did they reject other organizations, as well?

Will the Republican Party lose voters because of their decision? Dave reminds us of the “Reagan Three-Legged Stool”…

Title: Why Attend Your Precinct Convention?
Topic: Republican Party Politics
Discussed by Reverend Dave Welch
with US Pastor Council (US Pastor Council)

In this segment, Pastor Dave Welch discusses the importance of Christians being involved in politics…

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Has participation from staunch Republicans dwindled over the past few years? Does this leave an open door for moderate Republicans to pass more lenient by-laws and rules for the Party?

Can anyone who votes in a Republican Primary attend their Precinct Convention? Why is this so important? Dave offers a brief run-down of what happens at the precinct, state, and national conventions.

Dave says this: “A Party without its platform is like a church without Scripture.

Title: Warning against Unequal Rights Legislation by Democrats
Topic: Homosexual Agenda
Discussed by Reverend Dave Welch
with US Pastor Council (US Pastor Council)

Part 1 of 2

As multiple bills are filed for the 2019 Texas Legislative session to add “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to state discrimination laws, a diverse coalition of pastors are speaking out strongly in opposition.

Dave Welch, with the Texas Pastor Council, is one such person. Today he offers a look into some of these bills and information on how you can become involved.

Will churches be forced to allow boys/men into women’s restroom/showers? LISTEN CLOSE!

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Are Democrats pushing a false narrative that sexual behavior is the same as skin color and that mental illness deserves the same honored status as religious beliefs?

Should beliefs and practices of Christians be viewed as crimes deserving of criminal and civil penalties?

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Is there a bill that would penalize THE AVERAGE CITIZEN for calling a man a “man” even if he identifies as a “woman”? LISTEN CLOSE and Google “New York City Human Rights Commission Gender Identity Card”…. There are now 31 approved genders!

The term the Left is using is: "LGBTQIAP+". What on earth does all that even mean?

Title: Drag Queens at the Public Library
Topic: Homosexual Agenda
Discussed by Reverend Dave Welch
with US Pastor Council (US Pastor Council)

Disclaimer: Use caution when listening to this segment around young children. Issues discussed might be upsetting or hard for little ones to understand.

The Houston Heights Public Library recently debuted “Drag Queen Storytime”. Dave Welch, with the Houston Pastor Council, has the sickening details…

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is a “Drag Queen”? You may “think” you know, but you probably don’t!

Why was a Drag Queen allowed to read to children at a Houston Public Library?

How did the Houston Chronicle spin the story?

WWhat is the goal and agenda of homosexual/transgender movement?

Dave Welch quotes Matthew 18:6 “If anyone causes one of these little ones – those who believe in me – to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

How many high school students across the nation identify as LGBTQ? Are they “really” or do they just want to be “cool”? br />

Title: FEMA Changes
Topic: Federal Emergency Management Agency
Discussed by Reverend Dave Welch
with US Pastor Council (US Pastor Council)

Finally! The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced its formal policy change eliminating previous discrimination against churches for disaster relief funding. This is great news! Listen as Dave Welch, with the Houston Pastor Council, discusses the changes and what it means for the future.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Why would FEMA grant disaster assistance to some non-profit institutions but deny the same type of assistance for non-profit religious institutions?

What is the purpose of the Texas Pastor Council?

What is the First Liberty Institute? Why has the TPC connected with them?

What was the condition of many non-profit religious institutions in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and the devastating floods that followed?

Did FEMA discriminate against non-profit religious institutions in the aftermath of Harvey, in Dave’s opinion?

Why has FEMA reversed its course?

What can non-profit religious institutions do now?

Part 1 of 2

Dave Welch is the Director of the Houston Pastor Council. He is very knowledgeable in all things politics, especially in Texas. Today, he will be discussing what transpires before and during a Special Session in the Texas Legislature.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Does the Governor have to wait twenty days after the end of the regular session before calling a Special Session?

Is the Governor required to give members of the Legislature advance notice before calling and convening a Special Session?

Can the Legislature consider any issue during a Special Session? And, can more than one issue be covered in a Special Session?

Is the Governor allowed to add more issues to be considered after the Special Session has started?

Title: The Greater Good Doctrine
Topic: Homosexual Agenda
Discussed by Reverend Dave Welch
with US Pastor Council (US Pastor Council)

All across the United States, city councils are passing “Equal Rights” ordinances similar to the one in Houston. Who wins and who loses? Where do we draw the line on who is allowed to marry? Where is the greater good?

Dave Welch is the Director of the Houston Pastor Council. He says, “Ultimately there cannot be a line drawn if you cut loose the anchor of the historic relevance of the marriage union as one man and one woman.” If the SCOTUS redefines marriage and allows gays to marry in every state in America, it will exclude someone somewhere and there will be no end to regression.

Contrary to what you may have heard or read or seen in a Tweet, there is not any systematic discrimination occurring to warrant the “Equal Rights” ordinances. Listen in as Dave discusses these so-called multi-million dollar “Human Rights Campaigns” and what the US Pastor Council members – and Christians, in general – across the country are doing to fight the LGBT.

Topic: Christian Business Owners and Freedom of Religion

Part 1 of 2

Is the day coming when a Jewish house of worship will be forced to perform a Muslin marriage and vice versa? Will Baptist preachers be forced to perform a same-sex marriage? Actually, that day may be here sooner then we think.

Houston Mayor Annise Parker centered her re-election campaign around her sexual preference, which is a same-sex attraction. She even went as far as going to California to get “married” to gain support.

Now, Mayor Parker wants to model Houston after San Antonio and their lack of respect for all things Christian. Listen in as Dave Welch, with the US Pastor Council, explains why we cannot allow this to happen.

Part 1 of 2

Pastor Dave Welch, with the US Pastor Council, discusses whether pastors are more or less likely to preach a Pro-Life message today and why.

Also, HB-2, which was passed by the Texas Legislature last summer, outlawed abortions after the 20th week and required the clinics to abide by the same safety standards as other ambulatory clinics. In my opinion, everyone – even the Pro-Choice crowd – should have been grateful that our Elected Officials cared so much about the health and safety of the women and unborn babies who would visit the clinics.

So why was Wendy Davis so against the bill?

Defend the Alamo. Progressives on the San Antonio City Council are considering disqualifying anyone who believes homosexual conduct is wrong from serving, ever, on a municipal board.

The bullies further forbid the city from doing business with anyone who fails to espouse politically correct views. This is not in:

    1. San Francisco
    2. Somewhere else in California
    3. But in San Antonio, Texas – the home of the Alamo

Part 1 of 2

Several weeks ago, a gay activist appeared before the Harris County Republican Party Vacancy Committee seeking to be appointed as Chairman to an open precinct. He claims he was denied the appointment due to his sexual preference. The host of the What’s UP Radio Program, Terry Lowry, voted with the majority in denying his application.

As a result, the Houston Young Republicans arranged for opposing viewpoints to discuss whether or not the Harris County Republican Party should appoint an activist for the LGBT movement into a leadership position, amongst other issues involving the Log Cabin Republican agenda.

One of the speakers was Pastor Dave Welch, the founder and Executive Director of the Houston Area Pastor Council.
