Title: Why Evolution is NOT True
Topic: Evolution vs. Creation
Discussed by Dr. Jeff Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Part 1 of 2

Is Evolution true or is Creation true?

Dr. Jeff Miller is the full-time science writer at Apologetics Press and the Associate Editor of their monthly Christian evidence journal, Reason & Revelation. Today, Dr. Miller offers four reasons why evolution is NOT true.

Click here to read Dr. Jeff Miller’s op-ed on this important topic. Print it out and read it with your kids (especially older teens/college kids). This is information they need to know. Arm them with the TRUTH as they head back to school.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Do the majority of Americans accept Darwinian Evolution as factual?

Are the only two options for the creation of the world Evolution or a God-made Creation?

If evolution is true, life must have risen from lifelessness and somehow changed into all species throughout history. Is there any evidence to support the self-creation of the universe, matter, and energy? Is there any evidence for the matter that exploded at the time of the big-bang? Dr. Miller offers a great explanation, which can also be found in his article linked above.

Before life can evolve, life first has to exist. Can life come from non-life? Dr. Miller reveals that no one has ever been able to create life from nothing.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Does it take blind faith to believe that life came from non-life? Dr. Miller quotes Scripture as he warns that we must be careful when using the word “faith” to explain Creation and also uses a Rubik’s Cube as an analogy. (1 Thessalonians 5:21; 1 John 4:1; Acts 17:11; Romans 1:20

What is necessary to create life from non-life and then having the new life reproduce?

If Evolution is true, how did the first creature come to being and reproduce itself? Dr. Miller reveals that most Evolutionists do not even attempt to answer this question!

Is there fossil evidence to support biological evolution? Dr. Miller has personally researched this extensively…

What is the problem with Darwin’s idea of “the survival of the fittest” or natural selection?

Does it take more faith to believe in God or Evolution?

Title: A Biblical Response to Cancel Culture
Topic: Cancel Culture
Discussed by Eric Lyons
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Part 1 of 2

1 Peter 2:12 “Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.”

Eric Lyons is the Executive Director of Apologetics Press. Today, Eric discusses why and how Christians should respond in a Biblical way to Cancel Culture.

Click here to read Eric Lyons’ op-ed on this very important subject.

Click here to read more on America’s Culture War from Apologetics Press.

Click here for the many videos from Apologetics Press on different topics.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Are Christians often tempted to respond to the Cancel Culture with the impatience of an angry child or the retaliation of a driver with road rage?

Are Christians often treated with ridicule and censorship? Are they often out-right dismissed? Eric believes that even non-Christians who hold to traditional values are being mocked and “canceled”. (Example: JK Rowlings’ outspoken stance against transgenderism.)

What is so wrong about “Cancel Culture”?

Are Christians held to a different standard of decorum? Eric explains that Christians are absolutely held to a different standard by Jesus Christ. As far as society, though, we should be treated with the same attitude of respect as others.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Should Christ-followers be sickened by a society that lifts evil as good and stomps on good?

Throughout history, have people who speak out against evil been treated poorly? Eric reviews some of the martyrs and those who were heavily persecuted in the Old Testament.

Jesus faced his own “Cancel Culture”. Even Saul was a member of the Cancel Culture, killing Christians. How did Jesus turn the heart of Saul?

How are we to respond to Cancel Culture? Eric warns against rushing to judgement and urges us to, instead, remember the Fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Title: Where Did God Come From?
Topic: Where Did God Come From?
Discussed by Eric Lyons
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Part 1 of 2

Where did God come from?  Although atheists may think that this answer is unscientific and merely an attempt to avoid the question, observation and reason declare otherwise.

Eric Lyons has been with the Bible Department at Apologetic Press since 2001. Today he offers real answers to tricky questions.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

In the beginning, God made the heavens and the earth. But, where did God come from? Who or what made God?

WWhere did matter come from? Eric Lyons explains that “matter demands a maker”...

Is the “Big Bang Theory” logical?

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Could the universe and all that is in it be created by itself?

Is matter eternal?

What, or who, is powerful enough to create the universe?

Is God subjected to the laws of nature?

Why do Christians believe God created the heavens and the earth? What proof is there?

Title: In “Science” Should We Trust? The Ongoing Reproducibility Crisis
Topic: Christian Apologetics
Discussed by Dr. Jeff Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Part 1 of 3

Dr. Jeff Miller, PhD is the full-time science writer at Apologetics Press and the Associate Editor of their monthly Christian evidence journal, Reason & Revelation.  Dr. Miller has M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomechanical Engineering, with emphasis in thermodynamics and bio-thermal science.

Today, Dr. Miller discusses how modern American society has blindly placed its trust in the findings of the secularist-dominated scientific community.

Click here to read the op-ed by Dr. Jeff Miller on this topic.

Click here for more about Dr. Jeff Miller.

Click here  to support Apologetics Press.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is reproducibility? Dr. Miller explains that it is the ability of a different group of researchers to replicate the same study and arrive at the same conclusion.

How can the scientific community know a scientific study can be trusted?

How can we know that a scientist did not fabricate, exaggerate, or bias his or her results in some way so that the study would achieve the desired conclusion?

Have some scientists stopped using reproducibility as a key tool when researching, experimenting, and publishing their work? Dr. Miller explains that, sadly, many have strayed away from this trusted tool and it will be difficult to trust any new research.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Is the American society, as a whole, facing a reproducibility crisis?

What are some key examples of failure of reproducibility? Dr. Miller discusses concerns of false positives in as much as 50% of psychology research and other scientific fields.

Do we have a crisis in “trusting the science”? Are some of the unproven studies being written into government policy?

Questions/Issues Discussed:

REVIEW: Is the problem of reproducibility pervasive in the scientific community?

Why are researchers/scientists reluctant to refute their colleagues’ findings? Dr. Miller discusses how scientific journals are hesitant to publish conflicting research and/or biased research.

Can a godless scientist, who is highly motivated by fame, fortune, friends, or power, self-correct?

Should society have a “blind faith” in science and its naturalistic, secular “prophets”?

Title: Do Evolutionists have a Blind Faith?
Topic: Evolution vs. Creation
Discussed by Dr. Jeff Miller

Dr. Jeff Miller serves as the full-time science writer at Apologetics Press and is the Associate Editor of their monthly Christian evidence journal, Reason & Revelation. Dr. Miller has MS and PhD degrees in Biomechanical Engineering, with an emphasis in Thermodynamics and Bio-thermal Science.

Today Dr. Miller explains why evolution requires a blind faith, while the existence of living things actually proves that God exists. “The evidence demands that there is a God,” he says.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is blind faith?

For evolution to be true, must the evolutionist believe that at some point in the past, life arose from non-living substances? Is this known as “spontaneous generation”?

Down through the ages, have scientists attempted to make non-living material come to life? Dr. Miller discusses a law of science called the Law of Biogenesis.

BOTTOM LINE: Does it take blind faith to believe in evolution?

Is it blind faith to believe that God, a supreme being who exists outside of our universe, brought everything into being, including life?

Title: Apologetics is Evangelism
Topic: Christian Apologetics
Discussed by Dr. Jeff Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

How much do you actually know about God, the Bible, and eternity? Did you know that when you engage in apologetics, you are simultaneously evangelizing by exposing error and/or teaching truth to others.

Dr. Jeff Miller is a science writer with Apologetics Press. He is also the Associate Editor of their monthly Christian evidence journal, Reason & Revelation. Today, Dr. Miller explains why apologetics is crucial to evangelism.

Click here for the latest from Dr. Jeff Miller.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Do most adults accept the invitation to follow Christ without asking questions?

Are Christ-followers called upon to defend their faith? Is “because the Bible says so” a sufficient answer? Dr. Miller reminds us of 1 Peter 3:15 “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect”.

What does “apologetics” mean? Are we to “apologize” for being a Christian? Dr. Miller explains that is not what it means at all.

How can a personal testimony point others to Jesus? Do you have a 30-second elevator testimony?

Souls are at stake. Is it the responsibility of ALL Christians to share God’s saving grace to everyone they meet? Dr. Miller says: “If there is going to be converts, it’s on our backs to do that work.”

Title: Human Evolution: Beyond Preposterous
Topic: Evolution vs. Creation
Discussed by Dr. Jeff Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Which came first: The chicken or the egg?

Today Dr. Jeff Miller explains Darwin’s evolutionary perspective: Which came first: male or female humans? Dr. Miller is the full-time science writer at Apologetics Press. He is also the Associate Editor of AP’s monthly Christian evidence journal, Reason & Revelation.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Can scientists precisely define what constitutes a human?

What is the “Law of the Excluded Middle”? Here  is a great explanation by Dr. Miller.

If Darwin was right, then at some point in history, a non-human had to give rise to a human. How could this have happened?

Is there any evidence in nature of life of one kind giving birth to life of another kind?

What is the “Law of Biogenesis”? Click here to read more on this from Dr. Miller.

Statistically, is it possible to get life from non-life?

Which came first: The man or the woman? Dr. Miller explains that, according to Darwin’s perspective, both male and female would have to appear at the exact same time in the exact same place, saying that is “preposterous”. He goes on to discuss the difference between naturalists and supernaturalists and how genetics plays a role in determining life.

Does it take more faith to believe in Darwin’s theory or the Genesis account found in the Holy Bible?

Title: Is God’s Word Right about Sex?
Topic: Sex and the Bible
Discussed by Dr. Jeff Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Part 1 of 3

Disclaimer: Use caution when listening to this segment around young children. Issues discussed may be upsetting or hard for little ones to understand.

Scriptural marriage is intended by God to be comprised of one eligible man marrying one eligible woman and the two becoming one flesh for life. But what does it mean for a society when this Biblical truth is thrown out the window?

Dr. Jeff Miller serves as the full-time science writer at Apologetics Press and is the Associate Editor of their monthly Christian evidence journal, “Reason & Revelation”. Dr. Miller received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomechanical Engineering from UTA and Auburn University, respectively, with an emphasis in Thermodynamics and Bio-thermal Science.

Questions/Issues Discussed
:

What happens when a society eliminates God and His Word?

From a parent’s perspective, are rules meant to harm or help their children?

Are people happy or unhappy when they keep God’s law? Dr. Miller uses a great analogy of a parent telling their child not to play in the street…

Does God have rules, or laws, about sexual conduct?

Is society, in general, following God’s rules? Dr. Miller references the last part of Jeremiah 29:18: “Happy is he who keeps the law.”

Are there rules of thermodynamics that cannot be broken?

Title: Part 2 of 3 - Is God’s Word Right about Sex?
Topic: Sex and the Bible
Discussed by Dr. Jeff Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Disclaimer: Use caution when listening to this segment around young children. Issues discussed may be upsetting or hard for little ones to understand.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

J.D. Unwin, a British ethnologist and social anthropologist of Oxford and Cambridge Universities, studied the sex habits of 86 societies from over 5,000 years of history. It is important to know that Unwin was not a Christian, nor did he affiliate with any religion. What did he conclude?

Dr. Miller discusses:
Freedom for Premarital sex, some freedom for premarital sex, and no premarital sex
Post marital allowances, polygamy, monogamy (but not for life and only for wives)
The advancement or decline of societies based on the way they regulated the relations between the sexes

TRUE OR FALSE: In every instance, when sexual restrictions in a society are at their highest level (i.e., strict pre-nuptial abstinence and strict monogamy), the society inevitably progresses, and the more sexual activity is curbed in a society, the more the society progresses.

How can we apply the results of this study in our society today? Dr. Miller believes technology is definitely a downfall, but if we turn back to God’s Word, there is hope for the future.

Title: Abortion and the Bible
Topic: Abortion and the Bible
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Since 1973, when the Supreme Court legalized abortion-on-demand, some forty-three million babies have been slaughtered in America.

What does the Bible say about abortion?

Dr. Dave Miller is the Executive Director of Apologetics Press. He is the author of several books, including “The Quran Unveiled”, “Sexual Anarchy”, “Piloting the Strait”, “The Silencing of God, Christ and the Continental Congress”, “Why People Suffer”, and a series of books that teach children how to read.

For more on this issue from Dr. Miller, please click here

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Do a significant number of Americans consider abortion to be acceptable? And if so, why?

Is abortion a political issue or a moral, Biblical issue? Should preachers talk about abortion in the pulpit?

Does the Bible talk indirectly about abortion as an “injury to a baby in the womb”?

The course of the American Culture has changed drastically over the past forty years. Does Dr. Miller believe God approves of the changes?

Is the ultimate solution to every moral issue a genuine New Testament soul-saving experience? Is this the objective standard of the Bible?

Title: Does the Bible Contradict Itself?
Topic: Contradictions found in the Bible
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Acts 17:11 in the ESV: “Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.”

Dr. Dave Miller is the Executive Director for Apologetics Press. He is the author of numerous books, including: “The Quran Unveiled”, “Sexual Anarchy”, “Piloting the Strait”, “The Silencing of God”, “Christ and the Continental Congress”, “Why People Suffer”, and a series of books used to teach children how to read.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Everyone knows that the Bible contradicts itself.” Why did a school teacher tell this to her students, one of whom was Dr. Miller? How did this impact him?

Can those destructive words sow seeds of doubt?br />
HHave many people made the claim that the Bible contradicts itself? Dr. Miller explains that people have been trying to discredit God and the Bible for centuries. “I can confidently say that no alleged discrepancy or contradiction has even been sustained,” he says.

Are teachers, professors, and others more brazen and fearless in their relentless assault upon the religious and spiritual moorings of America? br />
DDo we all have a responsibility to search for the truth found in the word of God? Dr. Miller references 2 Peter 3:16, Acts 17:11, 2 John 4:1, and 1 Thessalonians 5:21.

Title: Situational Ethics: Hidden Meanings Buried in the Bible
Topic: Christian Apologetics
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Why did Lot offer his daughters to the Sodomites? This is one story in the Bible that many people, especially Christian, have a difficult time understanding.

Today, Dr. Dave Miller discusses this story and the events before and after. Dr. Miller is the Executive Director of Apologetics Press. His book, “Hidden Meaning Buried in the Bible”, will be released soon.

More information can be found here.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Background: How was Lot related to Abraham? Why did Lot choose to settle in the City of Sodom? Was the city engulfed in sin before Lot even arrived?

The narrative in Genesis 19 has Lot sitting at the gate. Is there significance of Lot sitting at the entrance gate?

Two visitors came to Sodom and entered at this gate. Were they angels? Why were they going to sleep on the street? Did Lot invite them to his home?

Did the Sodomites go to Lot’s home demanding the visitors? Why did Lot offer his daughters instead? Was Lot bound by customs of the time to protect his guests?

What can we all learn from this story? It is imperative that God’s people practice hospitality? Do we often forget this?

Does God sanction situational ethics (like this story of Lot and his daughters)?

Title: Where Did God Come From?

Discussed by Eric Lyons
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Scientist and atheist Stephen Hawking is well-known for his ideas about evolution. Before he passed away in 2018, he was very outspoken on this issue. Neil deGrasse Tyson, an American astrophysicist and author, has opined that humans on earth may be the creation of aliens!

Say what?!?

Eric Lyons has been with the Bible Department with Apologetics Press since 2001. Today he discusses some of these outlandish ideas and offers a sensible, Biblical response…

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Where did God come from? Was there a beginning and will there be an ending?

What triggered the Big Bang? Where did the matter come from?

DDo some of the world’s most popular scientists and atheists claim that “nothing made matter” ? How is this possible?

Can matter and energy create itself?br />
IIs matter eternal? Does matter have a beginning and an ending? FACT: Matter is actually less now! Listen as Eric explains…

Do logic, reason, science, and the Bible all point to a Creator God of the universe? br />
WWhat are the three “possible” explanations for the universe?

Why is God called the “Eternal God”?

Title: Were There Dinosaurs in the Bible?
Topic: Christian Apologetics
Discussed by Dr. Jeff Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Job 40 describes a mighty creature that was just as real as Job. It was not a non-existent, figurative animal. The biblical description of Behemoth does not match the hippo or elephant. So, what was it?

Dr. Jeff Miller has the answer! Dr. Miller is a full-time science writer at Apologetics Press. He is the Associate Editor of AP’s monthly Christian evidences journal, Reason & Revelation.

Click here  to read Dr. Miller’s article on this topic.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What mighty creature did Job describe?

Prior to the 1800’s, were many bible scholars mystified? Was this before many of the dinosaurs had been discovered?

Does the description of the Behemoth match that of a hippopotamus or an elephant?

Was the tail of the Behemoth described as? Why is this so significant?

Scientists have studied the weight distribution of elephants, hippopotamuses, and dinosaurs. Is the Behemoth comparable to those animals or any creature we have in existence today?

What evidence is available? Can it be disputed?

On day six of Creation, could God have created dinosaurs and man?

Title: Are Parents Brainwashing Their Kids?
Topic: Christian Apologetics
Discussed by Eric Lyons
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Eric Lyons is with the Bible department of Apologetics Press. He is the author more than a dozen books on various issues. Eric recently wrote an op-ed “Are Christians Guilty of Brainwashing Their Kids?

He writes this: “The more worldly and ungodly American society becomes, the more devout Christians will be criticized and persecuted for their beliefs and actions. One popular criticism that has been leveled against Christians in recent years involves the Christian home. Allegedly, Christian parents are guilty of brainwashing their kids.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

How important is it for parents to continue with Bible study at home (alone and as a family)? Should they be attending online church as a family during the Coronavirus quarantine? Why should they return to the church building as soon as they deem it is safe for their family?

Is it right to teach our children God’s truths?

Why do some believe it is “brainwashing” to teach our children fundamental Christian truths without apology? Eric says this: “If they want to call it brainwashing, they can. We’re gonna keep doing it because it’s the right thing to do.”

Did God instruct Moses on how to teach their children about the God who made the universe?

Is teaching Christianity cultish?

Is anything more important than to teach our children fundamental Biblical truths?

Title: Is God Racist?
Topic: Is God Racist?
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Part 1 of 3

Everything seems to be racist these days. Pancake syrup. Mexican owned food companies. Statues. People (but only white people). But --- is GOD racist?

Dr. Dave Miller is the Executive Director of Apologetics Press. Questions/Issues Discussed:

Does political correctness apply to the subjective feelings of individuals who determine what is “truth”?

Under political correctness, is there any objective standard for conduct, language, and behavior?

Does the Bible have the only standard by which human conduct may be measured and evaluated legitimately?

Dr. Miller points out that we have had three generations of Americans reared in liberal colleges and universities. “They have been taught all of this political correctness, Socialism, Marxism, and anti-Christian” ideology, he says.

For the secularist and the PC crowd, is there no objective, higher standard, and no absolute truth? Is this why they cannot tolerate Christians and Christian morals?

When God stated that he detested those who engage in same-sex relations, was He guilty of “hate speech” and being “racist”?

Does the Bible teach Christians to hate the sin but to love the sinner?

Have Americans, and even Christians, become so accustomed to the moral filth that is rampant across the nation that they no longer blush or possess the same revulsion that God Himself possesses?

Title: America’s Lost Invisibility
Topic: Christian Apologetics
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

The incredible level of prosperity and technological achievement has lulled many Americans into thinking that America is invincible and well able to sustain its standing among the nations of the world.

Dr. Dave Miller, Executive Director of Apologetics Press, writes: “The Founders thought otherwise. They insisted that America’s greatness does not lie in her achievements, material progress, or ability to protect herself by military means.” More can be found in his article, “America’s Lost Invincibility”.

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34)

Questions/Issues Discussed:

How does America resemble Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde?

Why is America so different compared to 150 years ago?

What are the main issues that have taken America’s focus off of God?

Did the Founders warn of the consequences of falling away from serving the God who made the universe? Should their warning be a sound, sober warning to Americans in the 21st century?

Remember: II Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Title: Did God Really Design Us?
Topic: Big Bang Designed?
Discussed by Eric Lyons
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Part 1 of 2

Too many people are under the perception that God did not have a hand in designing the world. In fact, many are actually redefining history.

Eric Lyons has been with the Bible Department with Apologetics Press since 2001. Today he discusses the General Theory of Evolution, snowmen, and God’s design.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Does the General Theory of Evolution unequivocally state “all the matter in the universe was concentrated into one very dense, very hot region that may have been much smaller than a period [at the end of a sentence]”?

Does the General Theory of Evolution claim that this mass exploded into what we now call the universe?

If we waited and watched through snow storm after snow storm, will two snowmen hatch because of any snowflake?

Do some people really believe that man and woman, as complicated and intricate as we are, just evolved from a blob of non-life, into a single-cell life form, and eventually into humans?

Parents: Disassemble a toy and put all the parts in a box. Bring your child into the room and tell them to shake the box and put their toy back together. Does it work? No? Explain to your kids that is theory of evolution!

Do some people really believe that there is no mind, no intelligence, and no designer who created the Universe and everything in it?

Is there evidence of design found in everything in the universe?

Do those who believe and teach the General Theory of Evolution blindly accept there is no PROOF this is occurring today?

Why does Eric personally believe there is a designer God?

Title: Where Did God Come From?
Topic: Christian Apologetics
Discussed by Eric Lyons
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Title: Who Did Cain Marry?
Topic: Who Did Cain Marry?
Discussed by Dr. Jeff Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Have you ever wondered who Cain married? There are many opinions and suggestions, but who is right?

Dr. Jeff Miller serves as a full-time science writer at Apologetics Press. He is also the Associate Editor of AP’s monthly Christian evidence journal for adults, Reason & Revelation. Dr. Miller’s book, “Science vs Evolution”, can be found here.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Is the Bible is just a book of fables, a book of stories, or simple mythology?

What do skeptics believe about Cain’s wife?

Listen as Dr. Jeff Miller offer his opinion on this…

Why is the Bible so vague on this?

Did God spontaneously create other humans after Adam and Eve?

What about incest and birth defects? This is really interesting! Listen close!

What are some other speculations about Cain, his wife, kids, and life span?

Title: Does the Bible Condone Abortion?
Topic: Abortion and the Bible
Discussed by Kyle Butt
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Part 1 of 2

While it is true that the Bible never specifically mentions the word “abortion”, does it reference the act? Kyle Butt, author and co-author of twenty-eight books, has some answers! Kyle has served with Apologetics Press for over sixteen years. He is also the editor of the AP’s children publication “Discovery”.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Do skeptics claim that the verses in Numbers 5:11-22 prove that the God of the Old Testament condones abortion?

Does the NIV improperly translate the terms used by the original writer of Numbers?

The term that the NIV translated “womb” is yarek. This word actually means “thigh, loin, side, or base.” Can the word/term be used to describe both males and females?

How do these verses differ in the KJV, NKJV, ESV, and ASV?

Do any of these words reference miscarriage or abortion?

Title: Is the Bible a Book of Fables?
Topic: Christian Apologetics
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Part 1 of 2

Critics of the Bible are inclined to declare its contents as “fable” in view of the account of Balaam’s talking donkey (Numbers 22). However, this dismissal is a premature conclusion that merits examination.

Dr. Dave Miller, Executive Director of Apologetics Press, disputes this “fable” claim. For over 40 years, Dr. Miller has served in various capacities for churches of Christ, including pulpit preacher, director of a school of preaching, and host of a nationally televised program.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

The backstory: A non-Israelite pagan prophet was clearly reluctant to speak the God of Israel directives to Moabite King Balak. So, his donkey rebuked him – audibly. Is this just a fairytale?

Was Balaam’s donkey an imaginary creature that possessed human capabilities?

How can we teach our children the difference between a “real” talking donkey and cartoons and storybook fables?

Have the people, places, and events recorded in Scripture been proven to be a matter of history – not fiction – firmly distinguishing its contents from make-believe fables?

Title: Was Jesus a Real Person?
Topic: Christian Apologetics
Discussed by Eric Lyons
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Part 1 of 2

Can we really know that there was a sinless, miracle-working, death-defying man named Jesus who lived upon the Earth approximately 2,000 years ago? Or do we accept his existence blindly? How can you share the truth with others?

Eric Lyons offers historical facts to help you prove that Jesus was a real person.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Are there many in the world today who actually think Jesus is nothing more than a fantasy figure?

Who said: “Whether considered as the God made human, or as manmade divine, this character [Jesus] never existed as a person”?

How can we know that Jesus walked the earth? Is there evidence other than accounts in the Bible?

Listen as Terry shares about a time when one of his children used Jesus Christ in a paper at college. What did the liberal professor do?

Title: Bible Believers Must Be Crazy
Topic: Christian Apologetics

with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Part 1 of 2

Do you believe in Jesus? Do you “really” really believe? Do you believe in the miracles recorded in the Bible? Can you defend your faith?

Eric Lyons is with the Apologetic Press. Today, he offers evidence that the miracles in the Bible are as real as God Himself.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Why did Eric Lyons write a piece entitled “You People Are Crazy”?

Did a donkey really talk? Did an iron ax-head really float during the days of Elisha? Did Job’s wife really turn into a pillar of salt?

Did water really flow freely from a rock? Eric says this: “If atheists can believe that intelligence came from a rock, it’s not a stretch to believe that an all-powerful God can make water flow from one!

Was a man’s ear really cut off and replaced without a scar? Was Lazarus really dead and did Jesus really bring him back to life? Did even his enemies believe? Did the Asbestos Brothers really survive the fire? Is the story of Jonah real?

Why is the Bible believable? Tune in to the next segment for more on this and the existence of God…
