Title: Abortion and the Bible
Topic: Abortion and the Bible
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Since 1973, when the Supreme Court legalized abortion-on-demand, some forty-three million babies have been slaughtered in America.

What does the Bible say about abortion?

Dr. Dave Miller is the Executive Director of Apologetics Press. He is the author of several books, including “The Quran Unveiled”, “Sexual Anarchy”, “Piloting the Strait”, “The Silencing of God, Christ and the Continental Congress”, “Why People Suffer”, and a series of books that teach children how to read.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Do a significant number of Americans consider abortion to be acceptable? And if so, why?

Is abortion a political issue or a moral, Biblical issue? Should preachers talk about abortion in the pulpit?

Does the Bible talk indirectly about abortion as an “injury to a baby in the womb”?

The course of the American Culture has changed drastically over the past forty years. Does Dr. Miller believe God approves of the changes?

Is the ultimate solution to every moral issue a genuine New Testament soul-saving experience? Is this the objective standard of the Bible?

Title: Does the Bible Contradict Itself?
Topic: Contradictions found in the Bible
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Acts 17:11 in the ESV: “Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.”

Dr. Dave Miller is the Executive Director for Apologetics Press. He is the author of numerous books, including: “The Quran Unveiled”, “Sexual Anarchy”, “Piloting the Strait”, “The Silencing of God”, “Christ and the Continental Congress”, “Why People Suffer”, and a series of books used to teach children how to read.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Everyone knows that the Bible contradicts itself.” Why did a school teacher tell this to her students, one of whom was Dr. Miller? How did this impact him?

Can those destructive words sow seeds of doubt?br />
HHave many people made the claim that the Bible contradicts itself? Dr. Miller explains that people have been trying to discredit God and the Bible for centuries. “I can confidently say that no alleged discrepancy or contradiction has even been sustained,” he says.

Are teachers, professors, and others more brazen and fearless in their relentless assault upon the religious and spiritual moorings of America? br />
DDo we all have a responsibility to search for the truth found in the word of God? Dr. Miller references 2 Peter 3:16, Acts 17:11, 2 John 4:1, and 1 Thessalonians 5:21.

Title: Situational Ethics: Hidden Meanings Buried in the Bible
Topic: Christian Apologetics
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Why did Lot offer his daughters to the Sodomites? This is one story in the Bible that many people, especially Christian, have a difficult time understanding.

Today, Dr. Dave Miller discusses this story and the events before and after. Dr. Miller is the Executive Director of Apologetics Press. His book, “Hidden Meaning Buried in the Bible”, will be released soon.

More information can be found here.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Background: How was Lot related to Abraham? Why did Lot choose to settle in the City of Sodom? Was the city engulfed in sin before Lot even arrived?

The narrative in Genesis 19 has Lot sitting at the gate. Is there significance of Lot sitting at the entrance gate?

Two visitors came to Sodom and entered at this gate. Were they angels? Why were they going to sleep on the street? Did Lot invite them to his home?

Did the Sodomites go to Lot’s home demanding the visitors? Why did Lot offer his daughters instead? Was Lot bound by customs of the time to protect his guests?

What can we all learn from this story? It is imperative that God’s people practice hospitality? Do we often forget this?

Does God sanction situational ethics (like this story of Lot and his daughters)?

Title: Is God Racist?
Topic: Is God Racist?
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Part 1 of 3

Everything seems to be racist these days. Pancake syrup. Mexican owned food companies. Statues. People (but only white people). But --- is GOD racist?

Dr. Dave Miller is the Executive Director of Apologetics Press. He is the author of numerous books, including: The Quran Unveiled, Sexual Anarchy, Piloting the Strait, The Silencing of God, Christ and the Continental Congress, Why People Suffer, and a series of books that teach children how to read.

Click here  to read more from Dr. Dave Miller on this topic.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Does political correctness apply to the subjective feelings of individuals who determine what is “truth”?

Under political correctness, is there any objective standard for conduct, language, and behavior?

Does the Bible have the only standard by which human conduct may be measured and evaluated legitimately?

Dr. Miller points out that we have had three generations of Americans reared in liberal colleges and universities. “They have been taught all of this political correctness, Socialism, Marxism, and anti-Christian” ideology, he says.

For the secularist and the PC crowd, is there no objective, higher standard, and no absolute truth? Is this why they cannot tolerate Christians and Christian morals?

Title: Part 2 of 3 - Is God Racist?
Topic: Is God Racist?
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Like those described in the last verse of the Book of Judges, are too many people today doing what is right in their own eyes?

The politically correct crowd believes no absolute truth exists. Therefore, is every view accepted and tolerated by them?

Does the PC crowd tolerate the opposition?

Is the PC crowd aggressively opposed to Christianity and moral values?

Dr. Millers says this: “They want to expunge and eliminate every indication of God and Christ. More specifically Christian morality. They hate Christian morality because it challenges them.

Title: Part 3 of 3 - Is God Racist?
Topic: Is God Racist?
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Does open and widespread hostility exist in the media, Hollywood, and among liberal politicians against Christian morality? Did the prophet Amos experience the same aggression?

When God stated that he detested those who engage in same-sex relations, was He guilty of “hate speech” and being “racist”?

Does the Bible teach Christians to hate the sin but to love the sinner?

Have Americans, and even Christians, become so accustomed to the moral filth that is rampant across the nation that they no longer blush or possess the same revulsion that God Himself possesses?

Do Christians desperately need to reacquaint themselves with the God of the Bible?

Title: America’s Lost Invisibility
Topic: Christian Apologetics
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

The incredible level of prosperity and technological achievement has lulled many Americans into thinking that America is invincible and well able to sustain its standing among the nations of the world.

Dr. Dave Miller, Executive Director of Apologetics Press, writes: “The Founders thought otherwise. They insisted that America’s greatness does not lie in her achievements, material progress, or ability to protect herself by military means.” More can be found in his article, “America’s Lost Invincibility”.

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34)

Questions/Issues Discussed:

How does America resemble Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde?

Why is America so different compared to 150 years ago?

What are the main issues that have taken America’s focus off of God?

Did the Founders warn of the consequences of falling away from serving the God who made the universe? Should their warning be a sound, sober warning to Americans in the 21st century?

Remember: II Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Title: Is the Bible a Book of Fables?
Topic: Christian Apologetics
Discussed by Dr. Dave Miller
with Apologetics Press (www.apologeticspress.org)

Part 1 of 2

Critics of the Bible are inclined to declare its contents as “fable” in view of the account of Balaam’s talking donkey (Numbers 22). However, this dismissal is a premature conclusion that merits examination.

Dr. Dave Miller, Executive Director of Apologetics Press, disputes this “fable” claim. For over 40 years, Dr. Miller has served in various capacities for churches of Christ, including pulpit preacher, director of a school of preaching, and host of a nationally televised program.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

The backstory: A non-Israelite pagan prophet was clearly reluctant to speak the God of Israel directives to Moabite King Balak. So, his donkey rebuked him – audibly. Is this just a fairytale?

Was Balaam’s donkey an imaginary creature that possessed human capabilities?

How can we teach our children the difference between a “real” talking donkey and cartoons and storybook fables?

Have the people, places, and events recorded in Scripture been proven to be a matter of history – not fiction – firmly distinguishing its contents from make-believe fables?

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Before getting back to the talking donkey… Why is Apologetics Press so passionate about spreading the truth about the Bible?

How has God spoken through various “other things”? Dr. Miller discusses the skies and heavens and a burning bush.

Was it God or the devil who spoke through a serpent in the Garden of Eden?
