Title: The Right to Life over Death
Topic: Pro-Life Issues
Discussed by Jim Graham
with Texas Right to Life www.TexasRightToLife.com
Part 1 of 2
Who holds your life – and death – in their hands? The
Texas Advanced Directive Act is a real law which exists in Texas. Jim Graham
explains that this law, passed in 1999, gives a hospital the authority to make
life and death decisions for patients, even if it contradicts a families’
specific wishes for their loved one. “These death panels are comprised of
anyone,” Jim reveals. In other words, a families’ physician might not have
any input in this decision.
Listen in to the next segment as Jim discusses the current case of a man in
Houston who is conscious and alive, but Methodist Hospital does not believe his
life is worth anything and therefore should be put to death. “The
institution autonomy supersedes patient’s autonomy,” Jim says.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - The Right to Life over Death
Topic: Pro-Life Issues
Discussed by Jim Graham
with Texas Right to Life www.TexasRightToLife.com
David Christopher Dunn (Chris) is an American hero who has served
his community and country as an EMT, a police dispatcher, a Harris County
Sheriff, and a Homeland Security Officer. Now, the “experts” on
the death panel at Methodist Hospital in Houston want to kill him. What a great
way to honor a hero (sarcasm)!
Texas Right to Life is working with several attorneys to challenge the
constitutionality of the Texas Advanced Directive Act because the
hospital is attempting to remove guardianship from Chris’s mother. It is just
outrageous what is happening to this family. “This is one of the ugliest and
most defensive fights we (the Texas Right to Life) have dealt with. It makes the
abortion bills pale in comparison,” Jim says.
Where is the Texas Attorney General? Where is the Texas Lt. Governor? Where is
the Governor? Why are they silent on this issue? Listen in as Jim Graham
explains more about the Texas Advanced Directive Act, Chris’s case, and
the tragedy the family fears will happen.

Title: Peaceful Protestors Ticketed
Topic: Peaceful Pro-Lifers Ticketed
Discussed by Jim Graham
with Texas Right to Life www.TexasRightToLife.com
Part 1 of 2
Jim Graham is the President of Texas Right to Life. His father founded the
organization many, many years ago when the only enemies were Democrats. Now, it
is a totally different story. There are many great, pro-life, pro-family
Republicans in Austin, but there are quite a few bad apples in the bunch as
well. Byron Cook is one of those bad apples.
Representative Byron Cook (R-District 8) is known as a RINO – Republican in Name
Only. During the 84th Session of the Texas Legislature, Byron Cook, one of the
top three most powerful Representatives in Texas, advanced a despicable,
anti-Life agenda on the backs of defenseless pre-born children. He recently
announced his bid for re-election and the voters of Navarro County (Corsicana)
are not pleased.
Jim Graham explains how people came from all over the state to join together in
a peaceful protest at Cook’s re-election kick-off party and were ticketed by
police for having “too many rally participants”! Listen in to the next segment
with Jim as he discusses the situation in more detail.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Peaceful Protestors Ticketed
Topic: Peaceful Pro-Lifers Ticketed
Discussed by Jim Graham
with Texas Right to Life www.TexasRightToLife.com
Members from Texas Right to Life and Empower Texas,
along with other concerned citizens, were holding a peaceful protest in the rain
to voice their concern over a RINO in Austin. They just wanted to
be taken seriously and show Representative Byron Cook that he needs to shape up
or they are going to ship him out. Their protest was short-lived when police
arrived and forced them to disperse. Listen in as Jim Graham explains in more
detail what happened.
Jim goes on to say, “If you are truly pro-life, you would do whatever it
took to save as many lives as you could, to pass as many bills as you could, and
you would not care who got the glory.” Byron Cook simply does not care
about the babies; he only cares about advancing his political career.
“We are about building the culture of life and advancing the Kingdom of God.
It is not about winning. It’s about doing the will of the Lord. We are called to
make a difference. We are not called to victory.” Jim declares.
Please visit the Texas Right to Life
website to see how you can help save more babies.

Title: Has Planned Parenthood Crossed the Line?
Topic: Planned Parenthood
Discussed by Emily Horne
with Texas Right to Life www.TexasRightToLife.com
Disclaimer: Use caution
when listening to this segment around young children. Issues discussed might be
upsetting or hard for little ones to understand.
Nearly half of all Americans have seen at least one of the undercover videos
from Center for Medical
Progress depicting Planned Parenthood directors and
employees “explain how they sale baby body parts”. (You can view the
videos on our home page.) These videos are disgusting, horrific, and should
anger everyone, whether or not they identify as pro-life or pro-choice.
Emily Horne, a Senior Legislative Associate with
Texas Right to Life describes
the details from the latest video. In her opinion, it is shocking that there is
even a demand for fetal tissue and body parts. What can they possibly gain from
this? These videos also raise question: Is Planned Parenthood making a profit
from this? If so, they are breaking the law.
Listen in as Emily discusses how we can use these videos to reach more people
about the truth behind Planned Parenthood. Yes, posting them on
Facebook and Twitter and emailing them to our contacts are all very important,
but we must do more than that. “Don’t give up the conversation,” she
warns. Volunteer with pro-life organizations – even one day a month is helpful!
Donate to pregnancy centers. Call your elected officials. Do more to save more.

Title: ATTENTION: Medical or Law Students: Scholarships Available!
Topic: Pro-Life College Students
Discussed by Veronica Arnold
with Texas Right to Life www.TexasRightToLife.com
I’m sure we all know
a Texas college student who could use an extra $1,000 scholarship for school,
right? Texas Right to Life wants to help! The Dr. Joseph
Witherspoon Pro-Life Law Student Scholarship and the Dr. Edward Hannigan
Pro-Life Medical Student Scholarship equips pro-life graduate students in a
Texas law or medical school with training and tools honed to their unique fields
of study – and a $1,000 scholarship per semester!
Veronica Arnold is the Outreach Development Director with Texas Right to
Life. She says, “This is a new program and we are looking to expand!”
It has been great so far and they are looking forward to another great year.
But, they need more participants! Listen in as Veronica describes the simple
requirements that each student must meet.
NOTE: Although the scholarship program for law and medical
students is fairly new, the program for undergraduate students has been around
since 2008! They have 67 undergraduate students participating in the fall of
2015! Those positions have all been filled, but they still need Texas medical
and law students!
Veronica suggests that several students apply from each school so they can share
responsibilities and duties. So grab a friend or roommate and apply today!
Details and requirements can be found [here].
The application deadline is Saturday, June 20, 2015.

Title: It is a Baby, not a Fetus.
Topic: Pro-Life Issues
Discussed by Emily Horne
with Texas Right to Life www.TexasRightToLife.com
Planned Parenthood
employees and supporters gathered recently to support a bill introduced by
Planned Parenthood-endorsed lawmaker Jessica Farrar (D - Houston). Her bill, if
passed, would strike all references on “unborn child” in state law and state
materials, substituting “fetus” for “unborn child”.
The pro-abortion crowd realizes they are losing the abortion battle. For years,
they’ve been attempting to alter the public’s opinion of abortion by changing
the “wording” about the issue. They’ve hired the best word-smiths. But, is it
still working?
Emily Horne is the Senior Legislative Associate with Texas Right to Life.
Emily was involved in distributing signs and pro-life information during a
counter-protest on that day. She is with us to give a first-hand experience of
the “event”. First, she happily reports that the pro-abortion crowd was
extremely small, just a fraction of the amount of people demonstrating from
2013.
Emily and others also made signs for over 100 Legislators who wanted to proclaim
to the pro-abortion demonstrators that they were pro-life. However, listen as
Emily reveals the horrific acts that pro-abortion elected officials did to some
of these signs!
You can help Texas Right to Life. Click [here]
to learn how! They still need help getting the truth out about abortion. We must
not let the pro-abortion people gain momentum.

Title: Pro-Life College Students Needed
Topic: Pro-Life College Students
Discussed by Veronica Arnold
with Texas Right to Life www.TexasRightToLife.com
There are 105
Universities in Texas; 36 that are public. A pro-life group or organization
exists at less than twenty-five of these 105 Universities. This is
just unacceptable! We need to establish a pro-life group at every University in
the state of Texas.
Veronica Arnold explains how the Texas Right to Life (TRL) needs pro-life
students who are passionate about protecting life, are natural leaders, and
great communicators. TRL teaches and trains the students in counseling others
who have had an abortion. TRL gives them the tools necessary to recruit more
pro-life leaders on campus. In return,
In addition, TRL offers up to $1,000 per semester scholarships to students who
devote 50 hours or more per semester to on-campus pro-life work, provides two
all-expense paid trips to Houston for training, and one trip to Washington, DC
in their senior year for the March for Life. So, to sum that up, THREE FREE
trips PLUS up to $8,000 total for college! And you’re saving babies! They’ll
also help you find a job when you graduate! It’s a win-win situation!
If you know a student who will be a FRESHMAN or SOPHMORE and has 3 or more years
left of college life at Abilene Christian University, Texas A&M Galveston, Rice
University, Sam Houston State University, Texas Southern University, Texas
Woman’s University, University of Houston, Texas Christian University, or West
Texas A&M University, to name a few, TRL wants them!!

scholarship. Also, if you’re interested in sponsoring a student for a semester
or two, please contact Veronica by clicking [here].

Title: Why did Wendy Davis have Two Abortions?
Topic: Abortion
Discussed by Emily Horne
with Texas Right to Life www.TexasRightToLife.com
DISCLAIMER: Issues discussed
during this segment might be inappropriate for young children. Please use
caution when listening to this segment in the presence of children.
Wendy Davis, the Texas Democrat Gubernatorial candidate, has had two abortions.
In her new campaign memoire, Davis explains the abortions were performed for
medical reasons. Emily Horne, with the Texas Right to Life, says Wendy Davis may
just be trying to win sympathy from a certain type of voter who might not
otherwise vote for her.
If you recall, Wendy Davis lead the famous filibuster during the summer of 2013
against the pro-life bill, HB-2. She stood on her feet for nearly thirteen hours
with the intent of slamming down regulations that make it safer for women to
have abortions. The bill had nothing to do with the types of abortions she had.
Some people are even claiming that Wendy would not have been able to have her
abortions if this bill had been law in the 1990’s when her abortions were
performed. This is absolutely not the case.
Emily Horne describes Wendy Davis’s abortions in a little more detail,
explaining that one of Wendy’s pregnancies was life-threating to her, which most
pro-life organizations actually see as an acceptable “excuse” for an abortion.
The other abortion Wendy had was not life-threatening to her.
Listen in as Emily discusses this.

No lasting change can take hold
in our land until all people truly believe that Life is sacred and must be

sanctity of innocent human life.
Abortion advocates are sending their people to Texas and paying them a lot of
money to convince people that abortion is safe, necessary, and needed. We must
