Title: Media Distorts Southern Baptist Convention Resolution on IVF
Topic: Pro-Life Issues
Discussed by David Closson
with Family Research Council (www.FRC.org)

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, messengers (aka representatives) to the annual Southern Baptist Convention addressed an ethical approach to in vitro fertilization (IVF). As usual, however, the MSM has distorted the facts surrounding the resolution.

Today, David Closson discusses the lies told by the MSM and reveals the true details. David is the Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview at the Family Research Council.

Click here to read more about this issue in The Washington Stand, a division of the Family Research Council.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Did the messengers to the SBC speak clearly on this issue? What did the SBC resolution affirm? David reads some of the verbiage from the resolution, explaining why it is so significant. He goes on to discuss the moral and ethical issues surrounding IVF.

What lies are being spread by the MSM?

Did PBS accurately report about the resolution?

Did the resolution state compassion for families struggling with infertility? David reports that the messengers were extremely compassionate toward the issue and reads some more of the verbiage from the resolution.

Is the IVF industry highly unregulated and fraught with ethical and moral issues?

David closes the interview discussing what he personally witnessed at the recent Southern Baptist Convention, saying: “We were united in purpose.”

Title: Has the Bible Always Been Pro-Life
Topic: Pro-Family Issues
Discussed by David Closson
with Family Research Council (www.FRC.org)

As Christ-followers, what should our stance be on life?

David Closson recently wrote a fantastic article, “The Bible is Pro-Life from Cover to Cover and That’s Never Changed”, outlining this very question.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Has the Bible always been pro-life? Is it really pro-life from cover to cover? David Closson mentions a few of the Scriptures, such as: Psalm 139:13-16 and Luke 1:39-45.

Are some attempting to change the pro-life message found in the Bible?

Does the devil use the pro-life issue to cause division among Christ-followers?

How can we convince more people that a baby is still a baby? David reminds us: “There are a lot of issues we can debate… but we don’t have to guess what God’s opinion is on this.”

Title: Raising Spiritual Champions
Topic: Biblical Worldview
Discussed by David Closson
with Family Research Council (www.FRC.org)

Part 1 of 3

Renowned author and researcher Dr. George Barna conducted an extensive worldview research project studying American kids. He discovered that children begin forming their worldview between 15 and 18 months of age and by the age of 13 it is almost entirely formed.

David Closson is the Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview at the Family Research Council. Today he discusses results from Dr. Barna’s latest survey, which can be found in the book, “Raising Spiritual Champions”.

Click here to read more on this topic from the Family Research Council.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Our kids and grandkids take tests to gauge how they understand, comprehend, and retain knowledge at school. Should we also gauge the Biblical Worldview of our kids? Who holds the responsibility for children’s worldview?

Why did David Closson and the Family Research Council partner with Dr. George Barna on this recent study?

Dr. Barna developed Seven Cornerstones for measuring a persons’ worldview. What did his survey reveal if a person rejected even one of those cornerstones?

Title: “Almost Sin” is Absolutely Wrong
Topic: Transgender Agenda
Discussed by David Closson
with Family Research Council (www.FRC.org)

In defending access to gender transition procedures for children, Joe Biden stated: “What’s going on in Florida, as my mother would say, is ‘almost sinful’”. Joe Biden is clearly attempting to marshal theological language in his defense of allowing children access to these procedures.

David Closson is the Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview at the Family Research Council. Today, David dissects Joe Biden’s words and offers both scientific and Biblical answers to refute his statement.

Click here to read David Closson’s op-ed in WORLD.

Click here for the latest from David Closson The Washington Stand.

Click here for more information about the Center for a Biblical Worldview.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Is Joe Biden really trying to invoke theology to justify the mutilation of children? Does he really think God is “on his side”? David explains the context which led to Biden’s outrageous statement.

Almost sinful”. Is there a sin spectrum? Can something be “almost a sin”? Are his words theologically sound?

Are Biden’s words morally problematic? Are people on the Left (and even some “Christians”) using twisted Biblical language to justify child mutilation?

BOOK REFERENCE: “Male and Female He Created Them” by Denny Burk, David Closson, and Colin Smothers

Which side of this debate is scientifically sound: Defending or denying gender transition procedures for children?

Has Joe Biden once again shown the world how untethered his worldview is to Biblical Christianity?

Title: Congress Passes the “Respect for Marriage Act”
Topic: Leftist Ideals Are Simply Wrong
Discussed by David Closson
with Family Research Council (www.FRC.org)

Part 1 of 2

In 1996, Congress passed the “Defense of Marriage Act”, which confirmed marriage as between one man and one woman. The vote received overwhelming bipartisan support (342-67 in the House, 85-14 in the Senate) – including then-Senator Joe Biden’s signature.

David Closson is the Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview at the Family Research Council and a writer for The Washington Stand. Today, David discusses the passage of the “Respect for Marriage Act” and the rapid decay of America’s moral integrity.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Is the “Respect for Marriage Act” respectful of traditional marriage? David explains why it is NOT respectful and urges everyone to contact their US Senators to voice their opinion on this issue. Washington DC Switchboard: 202.224.3123

Why did so many Republicans join with the Democrats on this vote when the Republican Platform is so steadfast in supporting traditional marriage?

Do Republican voters still care about the marriage issue?

Is the bill’s passage symbolic of the astonishing speed at which the moral revolution continues across our land?

Have we seen an explosion of LGBTQ indoctrination in our schools and across all media platforms over the past decade?

Has Ted Cruz voiced his opinion about the “Respect for Marriage Act”? Will Republicans have enough votes in the US Senate to strike down this bill?

No matter what Congress allows, is same-sex marriage an abomination in God’s eyes?

Will the acceptance of bestiality and pedophilia be next? David reveals that Somerville, Massachusetts legalized polyamory in 2021. That is a relationship between more than two people! It is only a matter of time before other ungodly abominations are legalized.

During Pride Month, did some writers openly state that Jesus would never condemn homosexuality? David discusses some of the claims that so-called Progressive Christians made about this issue, including that “we are reading the Bible incorrectly”.

Should Bible-believing Christians ignore views that run contrary to Biblical teachings? SHORT ANSWER: NO. David then reveals a shocking statistic about Christians’ views of traditional and gay marriage. He will continue with this in the second segment.

Is it unsound to reconsider and rewrite Biblical teachings regarding homosexuality and Biblically-based Christian sexual ethics? (2 Timothy 3:16)

God so loved the world. Therefore, Jesus so loved the world. Does that really mean that Jesus would love, accept, and embrace homosexual relationships? David points out that Jesus did not and would not accept and embrace ANY sin.

Did Jesus specifically teach against rape, bestiality, incest, or homosexuality? David will continue this discussion in detail in the next segment…

(Romans 1; 1 Corinthians 6:9; 1 Timothy 1:10; Matthew 5:6-7; Matthew 8; Genesis 1 and 2) David explains that Jesus upheld Old Testament requirements and often quoted Old Testament Scripture. Jesus also affirmed the creation pattern for marriage.

Is it okay to commit some sexual sins but not others?

What separates Christianity from other religions?

Title: The Duty of Parents in Education
Topic: Education
Discussed by David Closson
with Family Research Council (www.FRC.org)

As the nation emerges from a year of political, health, and economic crises, a new battle is heating up: the fight for America’s public schools.

David Closson is the Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview at the Family Research Council. He recently wrote: “Most of our children’s educators are not teaching from a perspective informed by biblical truth. Even those with good intentions will not be able to help our children see how Scripture answers the most fundamental questions we face.”

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is the responsibility of parents and grandparents when it comes to educating the next generation?

Does it matter if education reflects a secular worldview or a biblical worldview?

Do most parents desire a quality education for their children and grandchildren? From Dr. George Barna: Most people have their worldview formed by the age of 13.

Does the process of building a biblical worldview begin at public school, Sunday school, or in the home?

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Dr. George Barna recently stated: “Kids today, after watching their parents, come away confused.” Are kids today seeing inconsistency in their parent’s actions and in the words they speak in light of Biblical Principles?

Many parents may know that God practices grace and mercy. Many parents even rely on God’s grace and mercy in their own lives. BUT are many parents living their lives according to their own rules and desires – not according to what Scripture teaches?

Are too many children confused about what a true Biblical Worldview is? David Closson reveals how many Christian parents of pre-teens view the Bible as their primary source of moral guidance. This number is astonishing!

David says: “I don’t want to pile too much on the millennials or the bridges, because Gen X and the Boomer generations aren’t that great either when it comes to whether or not they have a Biblical Worldview.” He goes on discuss what faithful church-goers actually believe. These results might just shock you!

Is there a clear difference between those who express a head knowledge, but don’t have a heart knowledge? Does this apply to all generations, not just the “bridges”?

What can Christians do to learn more and more about Biblical Truths? How can we prepare to share that Truth with others? David stresses the importance of reading God’s Word, prayer, and being connected with other believers.

What are some ways parents can have a more “hands-on” approach to teaching their children and grandchildren?
