In March of this year, Barna research revealed 42% of those in full-time ministry (in all denominations) had considered quitting the past year. It is a blessing when someone tells me that they are praying for me.”

The Barna survey reveals that stress is the Number One reason pastors and ministers consider quitting full-time ministry. How does Pastor Ed handle stress?

Another response from pastors and ministers was loneliness. Is it lonely being a leader? Pastor Ed admits that this is absolutely true, but says: “People are people. It’s not my job to change them. If I try to be “good enough”, what happens when I stumble? Does one bad thing wipe out all the good? Pastor Ed says: “No man is perfect. Even as a Christian, we will stumble. We will battle the old nature, even in Christ.”
