Title: Which Bathroom did Klinger Use?
Topic: Transgender Agenda
Discussed by Dr. Joseph Horton
with Center for Vision and Values (www.VisionAndValues.org)
Which bathroom did Klinger from MASH use? He always “claimed” to be a woman, but I never saw him try to use the woman’s bathroom!
Dr. Joseph Horton is Professor of Psychology at Grove City College and the Working Group Coordinator for Marriage and Family with The Center for Vision & Values. He is also a researcher on Positive Youth Development. He is with us today to answer the question: “Is ‘claiming’ to be a woman enough evidence for a man to use the woman’s bathroom?” In regards to Klinger, the other actors and actresses on MASH simply ignored his tendencies to dress and act like a woman.
“Things that we used to figure were just common sense, people are now telling us are wrong,” Dr. Horton says. Young girls in middle and high school are now being told they must be tolerant of boys who wish to be in the girl’s bathroom and locker room. Dr. Horton says, “Changing the rules in this case is damaging to both groups of people.” He goes to discuss brain development and why children cannot possibly be mature enough to evaluate their gender.

Title: The Politics of Envy
Topic: Politics and Money
Discussed by Dr. Joseph Horton
with Center for Vision and Values (www.VisionAndValues.org)
It is not by chance that the
United States is a wealthy country. We have become a wealthy country because for
most of our history we have had relatively low taxes (when rates were high there
were huge loopholes), limited regulation, the rule of law, and relatively little
corruption.
No one is arguing that there should be no government, or that no tax revenue
should be collected. Limited government, however, provides the freedom for
entrepreneurs to provide solutions to people’s problems and improve their lives.
If our elected officials would in humility stop trying to engineer fairness,
step back and let Americans create wealth, the middle class could thrive again.
Dr. Joseph Horton is a Professor of Psychology at Grove City College and the
Working Group Coordinator for Marriage and Family with The Center for Vision &
Values. He wrote a fantastic editorial on the Politics of Envy. Listen in as he
explains.

Title: Should Minors Be Allowed To Purchase Violent Video Games Without Parental Permission?
Topic: Parental Rights
Discussed by Dr. Joseph Horton
with Center for Vision and Values (www.VisionAndValues.org)
Part 1
The Supreme Court recently stated that because of Freedom of Speech,
13-year-olds have the right to purchase violent video games WITHOUT parental
permission?
Dr. Horton discusses the subtle effects of what we watch…do we become what we
watch, probably not. But do we become desensitized and more accepting? Question:
why do advertisers advertise? Because their ads are affective in changing our
behavior!
Why are so many kids so aggressive, argumentative, and promote to anger?

Title: Part 2 of 2
Topic: Parental Rights
Discussed by Dr. Joseph Horton
with Center for Vision and Values (www.VisionAndValues.org)
We endure a lot of ugliness to
protect our right to free speech. Like Justices Clarence Thomas and Steven Breyer, I do not believe that restricting the sale of violent video games to
children under 18 would have strained the First Amendment.
With or without laws that require adult involvement for kids to have
questionable material, parents must be parents.
Laws are no substitute for parental monitoring. The Supreme Court’s ruling is
disappointing. Parents please start being better parents and become more
proactive and willing to make tough decisions to protect your children.

Title: A Woman Screams for Help After TSA
Topic: Airport Security
Discussed by Dr. Joseph Horton
with Center for Vision and Values (www.VisionAndValues.org)
Part 1 of 2
How much indignity are you
willing to endure if told it’s for safety’s sake? Would you let strangers look
at images of you naked? Would you allow strangers to touch you in ways that we
teach children is inappropriate? Are “perverts” working for the TSA? Professor
Horton concludes his interview by encouraging everyone to be engaged in the
process. We all can write letters to the editor of our local papers. We can
participate in town-hall meetings. Maybe, some of us can run for elected office.

Invasive airport screening has
gone too far. Do you really believe we are safer with all the inappropriate
‘pat-downs’ travelers are subject to? Enough of this nonsense – get involved.
