The truth is: if you want less of something, just tax it. Then why on earth would good Republicans want to place a payroll tax on all workers? Will Newton, the State Director with the National Federation of Independent Business explains further that the House version of 'tax reform' only reduces property taxes by, at best, 20%. To replace those tax dollars, our good Republicans in the Texas House want to increase the sales tax by one penny, just a penny, they say! But the Texas Senate has other plans, but what are they?
