Title: A Special Message from the North American Mission Board
Topic: Relief Help
Discussed by Mickey Caison
with North American Mission Board (www.namb.net)

It’s hard to imagine that there are still people suffering from Hurricane Sandy two years after the devastation, but it’s true! Mickey Caison, with the North America Mission Board, says that everyone can do something. Some may only be able to give $5 or $10; some can give more. Some may be able to volunteer their vacation time during Christmas or Spring Break to help rebuild homes – and lives.

The NAMB is also working with church planters to establish new or rebuild old churches. While the physical needs are abundant, the spiritual and emotional needs are prevalent, too.
Unlike many charities, ZERO donation dollars go toward administration costs, fees, or salaries. All of the donated dollars the NAMB receives goes toward the intended cause you designate. Their greatest needs, however, are financial and any amount is greatly appreciated.

Over the last two years, over 1,200 college students have given up their Spring Break and summer vacations to help spread happiness and hope to the residents in New York. For just $20 a day, they receive room and board, three meals a day, and a memorable experience that will last a lifetime.

Log on to www.NAMB.net  to donate financially and to see how your youth or college group can volunteer to help.

To contact them directly, email sandy@NAMB.net.

Title: Many can give financially, but we can all pray for the survivors of the ongoing disaster in Japan.
Topic: Japanese Disaster Relief

with North American Mission Board (www.namb.net)

Segment 2 of 2

Add the Japanese survivors to your Prayer List. Pray about giving! Is God calling you to go to Japan to assist in some way? Mickey Caison continues with an update on the survivors of the earthquake, tsunami, and the ongoing nuclear problems in Japan. For decades, Southern Baptists have assisted with disasters across America and around the globe. Millions of meals were prepared by various Baptist Men organizations for the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army to distribute. How in the world do you cook 25,000 to 50,000 meals per day from one parking lot somewhere near a disaster location? More information can be found at www.NAMB.org
