Title: What Does Memorial Day Mean to You?
Topic: Memorial Day
Discussed by Bill Federer
with American Minute (www.AmericanMinute.com)
Picture this scene:
Southern women with their arms full of flowers scatter the petals across the
graves of fallen soldiers from both the North and South. The time:
end of the Civil War. This was how Memorial Day began. Friendship offered from
the South to North, and from the North to the South.
It began as a way to begin the healing process after a bloody war many years
ago. Now, Memorial Day is a day we set aside to remember, not “celebrate”, those
who have given their lives to defend the freedom and liberty of the United
States of America.
