Are we becoming a “nation of strangers”? How can we change this? Research has revealed that when we show concern for others – empathizing with a friend who has lost a loved one, mowing the lawn for an elderly neighbor, or volunteering to mentor a school-aged child – we improve our own health and well-being and embrace and give voice to our deeper identity and dignity as human beings. What is a Matthew 25 Christian? Would your community, city, state, country, and even the world be a better place if more Christians followed the advice in Matthew 25? Dr. Earl Tilford, with the Center for Vision and Values at Grove City College in Alabama, gives a first-hand report of the generosity displayed by so many people towards the tornado victims in his home state.
