Title: Bring Your Bible to School Day: Thursday, October 4
Topic: Bring Your Bible to School Day
Discussed by Candi Cushman
with Bring Your Bible Day (www.BringYourBible.org)

In a world where Christians are targeted for their beliefs, this is a crucial time to teach our children how to be brave about their faith.  Our public schools are full of broken and hurting kids who need to hear about Jesus, and Bring Your Bible to school day is a great opportunity for them to hear about Him through their classmates.

Candi Cushman is the founder and facilitator for Focus on the Family’s annual student-led “Bring Your Bible to School Day”, which empowers kids to bring their faith to school in a respectful way. Last year at least 500,000 students participated in Bring your Bible to School Day.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

October 4 is “Bring Your Bible to School Day”. How has the event grown over the last few years? Stay tuned to the end of the interview as Candi shares some encouraging information on lives that have been impacted for eternity by this event…

What can students do to spread awareness about the event at their school?

Is it legal for kids to bring a Bible to school?

What should kids do if they are told they are not allowed to bring their Bible to school? NOTE: Click here  for a quick link your students can show teachers or school staff if they are challenged…

Why should we ensure kids stand boldly for Christ now, before they leave our house?

Use the link above to sign your student up for this event, which includes a chance to win a trip for 4 to meet Sadie Robertson (part of the Duck Dynasty crew).

October 6, 2016 was “Bring Your Bible to School Day”. How did it go?

Listen in as Candi Cushman gives some statistics from the past three years and shares some stories and testimonies from this year.

One story is about a little girl, Curly, who’s teacher took her Bible away! The teacher gave it back, to only have the little girl ask her if she would like to have her Bible. The Teacher said….well listen in for the rest of the story.

Another is about a high school student who gave a Bible to a devil-worshipper and atheist.

Amazing stories of faith among our students!
