Title: Inside Out 2: Family-Friendly or Not?
Topic: Movie Review
Discussed by Adam Holz
with Plugged In (www.PluggedIn.com)

Adam Holz is an Entertainment Critic and the Director of Plugged In, a division of Focus on the Family. Today, Adam reviews the hit summer movie, “Inside Out 2”, in theaters across the nation now.

Click here for the review from Adam Holz and Plugged In.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Is “Inside Out 2” a must-see for families this summer? Adam reveals that he wasn’t optimistic going in to the theater, but was very pleasantly surprised.

Can this be called a “self-help movie” for parents with teens and tweens? Adam discusses the interactions of Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust (from “Inside Out 1”) with the main character, Riley Anderson, as well as the new characters, specifically Anxiety.

There has already been a massive positive response to the movie. Why is “Inside Out 2” such a breath of fresh air? Adam believes that parents have been waiting for a new family-friendly movie without an “agenda” and “Inside Out 2” definitely delivers, especially for those over the age of 10.

Title: Hollywood Hates Christianity
Topic: Movie Review
Discussed by Adam Holz
with Plugged In (www.PluggedIn.com)

We all know that the majority of Hollywood celebrities, directors, screen writes, etc. hate Christianity. Recently, however, an Academy voter took a bold pro-life stand regarding the movie Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Always.

The Academy voter, Keith Merrill, wrote: I received the screener but as a Christian, the father of 8 children and 39 grandchildren AND pro-life advocate, I have ZERO interest in watching a woman cross state lines so someone can murder her unborn child. 75,000,000 of us recognize abortion for the atrocity it is. There is nothing heroic about a mother working so hard to kill her child. Think about it!”

Today, Adam Holz, with Plugged In, discusses Keith Merrill’s announcement and the responses it generated from the Left. Click here  to read Adam’s op-ed on this interview.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is the movie Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Always about?

Who is Keith Merrill? What movies has he been involved with? How long has he been an Academy voter?

In response to one person’s critique of his announcement, Keith stated: “She has her right and I have my right.” Was he condemning or condescending in this statement? Adam Holz reads some more of Keith’s response.

Will Keith be asked to “step down” from his position as an Academy voter?

Are Christ-followers called to be sowers of the good news – not knowing the harvest?

Title: Climate Hustle Coming to a Theatre Near You!
Topic: Movie Review
Discussed by Dr. Bonner R. Cohen
with National Center for Public Policy Research (www.NationalCenter.org)

The US Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, and many left-leaning state Attorney Generals are calling for organizations and individuals to be punished for denying man-caused global warming. Of course, America’s favorite jet-setting, millionaire Al Gore is in full agreement with such civil and criminal penalties.

Dr. Bonner Cohen is a Senior Policy Analyst with the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow. He is also an internationally recognized expert on natural resources. He is here today to discuss a new documentary, Climate Hustle, which will be showing all across America on Monday, May 2, 2016. “There have always been people who, in the name of protecting the planet, say we must take urgent and drastic measures now,” Dr. Cohen states. What are things we really shouldn’t do, though, to “save the planet”? Listen in as Dr. Cohen explains why CO2 is really good for us and “they” are wrong!

There have been seventeen Ice Ages, for example, over the last two million years (we’re not here to dispute how old the earth is). NONE of those Ice Ages began or dissipated due to human activity or interference. So, how do the human-haters explain the drastic ups and downs throughout history of the weather patterns? “They ignore it,” Dr. Cohen declares. “They are very selective in what they point to and what they leave out.

Today’s climate is relatively stable. The question is this: Are we seeing any extraordinary events that we have not seen in the past? NO! Dr. Cohen says, “The movie addresses who is making these claims, why they are being made, and why the science does not support the agreement.

Listen in as Dr. Bonner Cohen explains more about the documentary, Climate Hustle, and why it is a must-see, especially for those who aren’t sure about the facts. He also encourages parents to take their children, grade-school age and up, to see the film. “They are being spoon-fed what is pure nonsense,” he states.

FACT: The first polar bear census was conducted globally in 1965 when there were between 12,000 and 13,000 polar bears. Now, there are over 25,000!

Title: Hollywood has a Language Problem
Topic: Movie Review
Discussed by Dr. Ted Baehr
with Movieguide (www.Movieguide.org)

Part 1 of 2

“Oh, be careful little ears what you hear. For the Father up above, is looking down with love. Oh, be careful little ears what you hear.”

How many of you sing this sweet song to your children or grandchildren? Have you taken your own advice?

Dr. Ted Baehr is a movie and entertainment review expert. He discusses how TV shows have changed drastically in just the past few years, using unnecessary profanity and sexuality during prime-time hours.

Also, what about the movies you watch? If Jesus was sitting next to you in the theatre, would you be embarrassed?

Everything that we see and hear affects us – both positively and negatively. Movies, in particular, have a profound effect on our lives whether we realize it or not.

Some Hollywood producers are becoming bolder in their attempts to “thrill” and “shock” us in order to be the number one hit movie of the weekend. But some are saying “Enough!”

Dr. Baehr concludes his interview with some wise words of advice. To get an excellent, Christian-based review on movies, log on to www.Movieguide.org.

Showing in major AMC theaters throughout greater Houston, the documentary, set in the Amazon basin of Ecuador, tells the story of a violent and isolated tribe and five North American families who contacted them. Through death came life and life eternal for members of this tribe. This is a story of faith in the face of violence, a faith that conquered all.
