Title: Taxpayers On Hook for Auto Payment Bailout?
Topic: Auto Payment Woes
Discussed by Chuck Tatelbaum
with Tripp Scott Law Firm (www.TrippScott.com)
Most people look at the government-issued unemployment numbers and
think the economy is improving. But, alas, the Obama
Administration has been lying to the American people. I know. You’re shocked
that the President would actually lie, but he is! Chuck Tatelbaum focuses his
legal practice on bankruptcy and creditor’s rights issues with the Tripp
Scott Law Firm in Florida. He is an expert in this field and is here today
to discuss the dire situation our country is still in – even after years of
trying to “fix” it.
Chuck states: “The average person’s wages have not increased and their
spending power is less. There is a huge amount of people who are underemployed.
They may have jobs, but they are not working to their peak.” He also brings
up Obamacare, thirty-hour work weeks, and the fifteen major retailers who have
filed for bankruptcy protection since November of 2015 due to slow sales,
especially over the Christmas holiday.
Furthermore, many people are defaulting on their car loans. Their interest rates
are sky high because their credit is horrible. But people need to have a car to
get to work; the people who need the loan the most are the very ones who cannot
afford it! Chuck also points out, “We have all of these loans put into
collateral packages, just like the home mortgage crisis. It’s the same
situation.” Listen in as Chuck gives some advice and a dire warning for
consumers in the market for a new car. If it sounds too good to be true, it
probably is!

Title: Employers: Be on Guard
Topic: Discrimination in the Workplace
Discussed by Paul Lopez
with Tripp Scott Law Firm (www.TrippScott.com)
NOTE: Please do not construe any information discussed in this segment as
legal advice. If you have any questions, please contact the
Tripp Scott Law Firm.
Paul Lopez is a director with the South Florida law firm of Tripp Scott and the
chair of the firm’s litigation department. Paul Lopez was directly involved in
the case regarding the young woman who sued Abercrombie and Fitch over her hijab,
or headscarf, worn for religious reasons.
Paul describes some of the details of the case. The issue of the headscarf, for
example, never even came up during the interview; neither did the applicant’s
religious preference. However, the Supreme Court of the United States, in an 8-1
decision, still ruled in her favor!
Will this harm all businesses in the future? Should companies re-word their
employee contracts and handbooks so they don’t get sued by a random person
walking in from the street applying for a job? There are up to 70 different
languages being spoken in Harris County alone! Employers cannot be expected to
anticipate someone from up to 70 different cultures walking into their business
to apply for a job and the ramifications that may follow if they choose not to
hire them.
This case has opened up Pandora’s Box. What will happen next? SCOTUS has told
Abercrombie and Fitch they must make accommodations for this young woman (and
any others) to wear her headscarf. This also brings up the struggle some
Christians have with working alongside homosexuals. Listen in as Paul Lopez discusses this hot topic as well.

Title: America Needs a Conservative Not Another RINO!
Topic: Conservative vs RINOs
Discussed by Shari McCartney
with Tripp Scott Law Firm (www.TrippScott.com)
Part 1 of 2
The Presidential Primary of 2016 will be here before we know it. A handful of
Conservatives have already thrown their name in the hat. What do you think about
the choices so far? Will one of the good ones battle it out with the Dems in
November or will we have another RINO on the ballot?
Shari McCartney is a former Bush administration attorney and has experience with
the US Department of Health and Human Services. She is currently a practicing
attorney with the Tripp Scott Law Firm in Florida. Florida is part of the Super
Tuesday voting crowd, along with Texas, which means we will hold our primaries
on the first Tuesday in March. Only Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South
Carolina can hold their primary elections in February, just for a bit of
political education.
Shari says that not every candidate who has expressed interest is a true
Conservative. We have show-boaters. We have lame ducks. We have RINO’s. We also
have some good ones.
Money usually plays a big part in who keeps on trucking after the first few
primary elections, especially after Super Tuesday. However, Shari believes that
with the smorgasbord of potential candidates this time around, money might not
be such an important factor. Getting themselves out there among the people,
showing their human side, and really listening to what voters have to say about
the issues is more important.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - America Needs a Conservative Not Another RINO!
Topic: Conservative vs RINOs
Discussed by Shari McCartney
with Tripp Scott Law Firm (www.TrippScott.com)
It is way past time to focus on
just one or two candidates and stop allowing anybody and everybody to run for
President of the United States! This may seem obvious, but this has
unfortunately been the norm for the past several election cycles. The more
choices we have, the less likely it is that one of the truly good ones will make
it to the final round.
What is Shari’s opinion on some of the candidates? Jeb Bush – good, bad, or
ugly? How about Scott Walker? Rand Paul? Chris Christie? Rick Perry? Marco
Rubio? Dr. Ben Carson? Jindal? Ted Cruz? Huckabee? Santorum? See?? There are a
lot of candidates to choose from!!
Don’t just take Shari’s word for it. Or even Terry’s! Do the research for
yourself. Call the candidate’s headquarters to get answers to the tough
questions. Make an informed decision. Don’t just blindly follow the pack. And
get involved! Don’t wait til next February to start pushing for the candidate
you like the best. Get a T-shirt. Get a bumper sticker. Get a yard sign. Tell
everyone you meet why you are voting for so-and-so.

Title: Target Under in Canada. Are More Coming?
Topic: Bankrupting America
Discussed by Chuck Tatelbaum
with Tripp Scott Law Firm (www.TrippScott.com)
Several major
companies have announced they are in the black. They just don’t have any money
and need a bailout. Radio Shack stores in America and Target
stores in Canada are two of these companies. What does it mean for consumers?
Will the Target closings in Canada affect shoppers in America?
Chuck Tatelbaum is a bankruptcy attorney and focuses much of his practice on
creditor’s rights issues and complex business litigation, as well as domestic
and international letters of credit. Chuck gives his opinion of the Target
closings and whether or not internet sales play a role in the downward spiral of
global sales. He also compares the mistakes that JCPenny has made and the genius
marketing Macy’s has done.
Do big retailers like Target and Radio Shack have hope of recovery? Chuck says
that filing bankruptcy is like a tsunami. Listen in as he explains the process
and why it’s so hard to dig back out of the hole and what companies – big or
small – can do to protect themselves and their business. What can individuals
do? What signs should they look for when investing? Should we all be saving for
a rainy day?
