Title: LOCAL OPTION REGARDING TRANSPORTATION AND MOBILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
Topic: Taxes and Government Spending
Discussed by Justin Keener
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

Let’s face it. Texas has some bad roads that need fixing. We need a new highway or two. The Texas Legislature wants to raise our taxes to help pay for these new projects. However, in the past, tax dollars for similar projects have been funneled to other non-transportation projects. We must stop this misuse of funds NOW! Log on to www.texaspolicy.com for more.

Title: WILL TEXANS HAVE TO PAY MORE FOR OUR DRIVER’S LICENSES, TAGS, AND GAS?
Topic: Government Spending
Discussed by Justin Keener
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

The Texas government has enough money. But they, like everyone else these days, are getting greedy. A bill has been introduced that would raise the gas tax by 10 cents, impose a $1.00 per hour parking fee in certain areas, charge a $15 emission fee, charge $250 to register your car if you move to another county, and double - yes DOUBLE - the cost of your driver’s license. Tell your Representative and Senator NO! Guest Justin Keener is with the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Log on to www.texaspolicy.com for more information or to find your elected officials.

Title: FIRST, DO NO HARM
Topic: Taxes and Government Spending
Discussed by Justin Keener
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)

During a time when many states are in dire need of a good scolding from their parents for spending too much of their allowance, Texas is A-OK. Lt. Gov. Dewhurst had the foresight a few years back to save the extra money Texas had and not spend in frivolously on a new pair of shoes. Let’s encourage our newly elected officials to keep on the same track. Log onto www.TexasPolicy.com for more.
