Title: More Graduates than Jobs
Topic: Lying-nomics
Discussed by Dr. Steve Camarota
with Center for Immigration Studies (www.cis.org)
The idea that we need to allow in more workers with science, technology,
engineering, and math (“STEM”) background is an article of faith among American
business and political elite. In a new report, Dr. Steven Camarota analyzes the
latest government data and discovers what other researchers have found: The
country has more than twice as many workers with STEM degrees as there are STEM
jobs.
Listen in as Steven discusses this serious issue. Log on to www.CIS.org for more

Title: Where did all the new employees come from that are taking all the new jobs being created in the State of Texas?
Topic: Perry'nomics
Discussed by Dr. Steve Camarota
with Center for Immigration Studies (www.cis.org)
Part 1 of 2
A new report shows that 81% of job growth in Texas since 2007 went to non-U.S. citizens. How many were illegals vs. legal immigrants?
Of newly arrived immigrants who took a job in Texas, 93 percent were not U.S. citizens. Thus, government data shows that more than three-fourths of job growth in Texas went to newly arrived NON-CITIZENS (LEGAL AND ILLEGAL).
Most Texas job growth went to immigrants and 40% were illegals. Very few of the new jobs went to U.S. born workers…what’s wrong with this picture? Please send us your comments here.

Title: Part 2 of 2
Topic: Perry'nomics
Discussed by Dr. Steve Camarota
with Center for Immigration Studies (www.cis.org)
Steve Camarota continues by stating a very disturbing fact:
The native born population accounted for over 69% of the growth in potential works so the native born should have secured the majority of the new jobs. But this did NOT happen. Remember: 81% of the new jobs created in Texas since 2007 went to NON-U.S. CITIZENS.
Is this a good thing for Governor Perry or does it show a bad trend which most Americans will view negatively? Send us your comments here.

Title: Is There A Need For More Immigrant Workers?
Topic: Immigration
Discussed by Dr. Steve Camarota
with Center for Immigration Studies (www.cis.org)
The standard unemployment rate for U.S.-born workers who have not
completed high school stands at 22%.
28.7 million U.S.-born and naturalized citizens were not working in the 1st
Quarter.
What’s wrong with this picture?
Dr. Camarota further discusses how few teenagers and college students found
summer employment this year. What should our elected officials be doing about
the number of legal and illegal immigrants taking jobs away from American
citizens? How much longer can we survive?

What can past legislation and guest worker programs teach us? What will be the cost to taxpayers of importing more unskilled workers and their families? What happens when our government legalizes those who are here illegally, making them eligible for even more government and taxpayer supported services? For more information, log onto cis.org
