Title: Protecting the Second Amendment from Biden’s Extreme Wishes
Topic: Second Amendment
Discussed by Cam Edwards
with Author
Cam Edwards is the spokesperson for the
Second Amendment Foundation. He is also the Editor of
Bearing Arms and hosts the popular podcast
Cam & Company focusing on Second Amendment news and information.
Today, Cam discusses whether or not Americans want stricter gun control laws.
Questions/Issues Discussed:
Do Americans want more gun control laws? Cam discusses a recent
Rasmussen poll.
Why do some Americans favor more gun control laws? Can we “ban our way to safety”?
According to the Rasmussen poll, many Americans do want current gun laws enforced more vigorously. Would this help? Cam believes that it would definitely help and breaks down which laws need to be tweaked first. He says: “What we’re seeing right now is that criminals feel emboldened because they think they can get away with these crimes. And sadly, in many cases, they are getting away with murder.”
How high does gun control rank on voters’ wish list of priorities they want Biden to address? Guess what?!? It’s on the bottom of the list. Sorry, Biden!
Are Americans who defend their 2nd Amendment Rights winning the debate?

Title: Biden Says Ukrainians Should Have Guns! Why Not Americans?
Topic: Russia and Ukraine
Discussed by Cam Edwards
with Author
Cam Edwards is the editor for
Bearing Arms and host of the
popular podcast Cam &
Company that focuses on Second Amendment news and information. Cam is also the spokesperson for the
Second Amendment Foundation.
Today Cam Edwards discusses the growing escalation between Russia and Ukraine, resulting in Ukrainians arming themselves with the very weapons Biden wants to ban in the US. He also discusses the importance of background checks and proper training before owning or firing a weapon.
Questions/Issues Discussed:
Until recently, gun ownership by Ukrainian citizens had been strictly regulated. What changed? Didn’t the Ukrainian government once-upon-a-time shoot and even kill its unarmed citizens?
What kind of guns are private citizens in Ukraine using to defend their country against invading Russian soldiers? Are those the same firearms Biden wants to be banned in the US? Cam Edwards says: “The Second Amendment is not about hunting.” Amen!
Do we know how many Americans own at least one gun?
Has gun ownership increased since Biden took office? Cam calls it the “Great Gun Run”…
Why are background checks required before purchasing a gun? Cam explains the process and also reveals that nearly a quarter of all recent gun purchases have been by first-time gun owners.
Why is it also important to be properly trained before carrying a weapon? Is it equally important to stay up-to-date with new regulations and continue to train – even if you’ve owned a gun for years?
What is the goal and purpose of the Second Amendment Foundation?

Title: Manly Advice for the Next Generation
Topic: Book Review
Discussed by Cam Edwards
with Author
Part 1 of 2
What has happened to men in America? Once upon a time,
men in their twenties looked forward to settling down and having children.
Today, most young men seem infected by a widespread Peter Pan syndrome,
unwilling to give up the freedom to sleep late, play video games, dress like a
slob, and play the field.
Cam Edwards is the co-author of Heavy Lifting: Grow Up, Get a Job, Start a
Family, and Other Manly Advice. Cam says, “Yes, the economy has been
bad, but that doesn’t explain it all.” Coming right out of high school or
college has always been tough, no matter what the economy is like.
Cam believes that many young people, specifically men, are just afraid to
struggle. They’ve been told all their lives that everything can perfect if they
want it to be. And too many parents have tried to protect their kids from all
physical and emotional damage. “We’re now getting to the point where these
‘special snowflakes’ can’t handle criticism and so they hideout in their
parent’s basement for as long as they possibly can,” Cam says.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Manly Advice for the Next Generation
Topic: Book Review
Discussed by Cam Edwards
with Author
Too many men have bought the lie that getting married and having kids will
shorten their life and make them unhappy. It’s more than just bringing home a
paycheck. Nothing is perfect, but having a loving family to come home to every
night is pretty close! Cam tells young men not be afraid of marriage; so much
joy comes from committing your life to another person forever. “You’re doing
something beyond yourself,” he says.
Listen in as Cam Edwards explains why he and his co-author Jim Geraghty wrote
their book, Heavy Lifting: Grow Up, Get a Job, Start a Family, and Other Manly
Advice. He hopes men will understand that their book is not meant to “scold”
them for not being married and having kids. It’s more of an encouragement to men
of all ages to get out there and do something! “Believe in yourself,” Cam says.
“You’re never going to experience life if you’re content to stay in (your
parent’s) basement for the rest of your life.” The book is full of all sorts of
life circumstances which may pop up throughout the years, from job loss to
homework to how to deal with a struggling marriage.
