Outrage still ensues after the killing of an endangered gorilla at the Cincinnati zoo over the Memorial Day weekend after a four-year-old boy fell into the gorilla’s enclosure. Critics questioned the zoo’s decision to kill the gorilla, in spite of the life-threatening danger the young boy faced, going as far as demanding criminal action be taken.

Kelly Rosati, the Vice President of Community Outreach with Focus on the Family, discusses details of the tragic situation.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Where do we draw the line in protecting animal life over human life? Shouldn’t we be as diligent to protect human life as we are to protect the life of an endangered species? “The issue isn’t about whether or not the mother of the little boy was at fault. The issue is about the importance of human life,” Kelly says.

Is Kelly concerned for America when so many people are outraged over the death of a gorilla, yet they are not bothered by the death of nearly 60 million babies through abortion?

Kelly also offers sensible suggestions on how to use this tragedy to spread the love of Jesus to others and gives us hope as the younger generation is becoming more and more pro-life.
