Scripture Passage: Luke 15 The Parables of the Lost Sheep, The Lost Coin, and The Prodigal Son

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Pastor Jarrett shares an amazing story about his own brother, who was a Prodigal Son. Grab a box of tissues, because this story is a tear-jerker! It’s also a great reminder that God always pursues the lost! If you have a son, daughter, spouse, family member, friend, co-worker who has run from God, never, ever stop praying for them and pursuing them. God won’t stop pursuing them, either.

NOTE: Champion Forest Connect is a new ministry of CFBC to help plant churches in cities across the nation. More info to come in the coming months.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Did the religious leaders view God as a pursuer of the lost? Are YOU searching for sinners who need Jesus?

In the Parable of the Lost Sheep, who are the “sheep”? Who is the “Shepherd”?

Why did the woman search so diligently for her lost coin? What was so special about it? Are WE as special as that lost coin?

The Prodigal Son was ashamed to go home. Do you ever feel ashamed to run back to Jesus?

Does sin always lead to a miserable end?

Scripture References: Isaiah 53:6; John 1

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Pastor Jarrett and his family love to play board games, specifically the game “Clue”. Listen as he offers some pro-tips about playing games with your family. LOL

Have you ever lost something? It’s frustrating, isn’t it? Aren’t you glad that God doesn’t lose us? Amen!

BIBLE FACT: The word LOST is used 92 times in the New Testament alone, with Jesus using it often.

Is it still “politically correct” to refer to unbelievers as “lost”? Pastor Jarrett says absolutely!

Most unbelievers enjoyed being around Jesus. Do lost people enjoy being around you? Are you judgey or accepting (while still adhering to Biblical morals)?

Did the religious leaders view God as a pursuer of the lost? Never in a million years!
