In verse 5, Paul writes: “Do not be anxious for anything.” Is this different that worrying?

Scripture Passage: Romans 8:28-39

Pastor Ed reminds us that too many people are abandoned by people they love, even their own fathers. But GOD your Heavenly Father will never, ever abandon you. He says: “God cannot NOT love you!”
Pastor Ed and his wife have been married for 54 years. Has he been perfect? Has she been perfect? (He says yes lol). Our relationship with God is like a marriage – except WE are imperfect and God is perfect.
Why did God send His son Jesus to die for our sins? Just so we can go to heaven? Or is there more we must know, understand, and do?
Did Paul have a “spiritual gravy train”?

Do you wear the full armor of God daily? If not, why not?!?!
Why did Paul write “stand firm” several times when he wrote about the full armor of God?
Why is Satan called the “Father of Lies”? Why is he often referred to as a roaring lion? Why does he keep trying to stop us from following Christ?
How will God give us strength for the journey?

God is not going to give us everything we want in life, but He will give us everything we need. Why is it difficult to believe and trust this sometimes? Will fighting with God ever solve our problems?
Death is a reality. Death will happen. Part of life is death. What will the ending of your story be?
What was Paul trying to convey in these verses?
Reverend Manley Beasley once preached a sermon entitled: “Why do Christians have trouble?” The answer: “Because they don’t act right.”
Is grieving Biblical?
Are you in the middle of a storm? How does God use storms to shape and mold us?

Pastor Ed begins the sermon with a fun fact about the author of the hymn “Come Thou Fount”.
Paul was a great guy, but do we sometimes put him on too high a pedestal?

Does God “allow” bad things to happen to us?
Is God going to give us everything we “want” in life? Nope. Will God give us everything we “need”? Yep.
