Title: Easter Sunday
Topic: Mark
Discussed by Dr. Stephen Trammell
with Champion Forest Baptist Church (www.ChampionForest.org)
Day 5
The Coronavirus couldn’t stop Easter!!
Pastor Stephen Trammell preached his Easter sermon from the pulpit of the North Klein CFBC campus. It’s been a year since the campus opened. The campus may have been empty this year, but that’s okay! So is the tomb! Praise God!
This week, Pastor Trammell reminds us that the one constant we can anchor our lives to is the faithfulness of God.
Scripture Passage: Mark 16:1-8
Click here for the full Easter Sunday sermon from CFBC.
Questions/Issues Discussed:
The first thing you will see when you enter any of the four CFBC campuses are the words “Welcome Home”. Why is this an important message for everyone – not just visitors?
Pastor Trammell shares a story about the new North Klein CFBC Campus to close the sermon. Grab a tissue!!!
Final Thoughts:
The empty tomb is God’s ultimate evidence of faithfulness.
You can anchor your life to Him and He will never leave you.
The tomb is empty so your life doesn’t have to be.
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, or if you have a prayer request, text 281.688.2630 and follow the text prompts.

Do you truly believe that the Resurrection was the greatest miracle in history? After all, there is story after story throughout history with miracle after miracle from God. Is the Resurrection really the greatest one? YOU BET IT WAS!
Will you trust God? Pastor Trammell reminds us that God doesn’t always answer our prayers immediately. Sometimes He answers with a “no” – but that is still an answer! “We serve an on-time, God,” he says. “God is orchestrating and navigating the circumstances around you to accomplish His purposes and plan in you, through you, and for you.”

Scripture Passage: Mark 10:32-45
Questions/Issues Discussed:
Why does Jesus stress servanthood in these verses? What does being a servant mean to you? Are you following Jesus right now or are you following the world?
Pastor Trammell uses a towel to demonstrate the difference between the world’s idea of servanthood and Jesus’s view of servanthood. It’s all about where you put the towel.
How have you adjusted your schedule during the Coronavirus quarantine? Pastor Trammell warns us to not be pulled into “turtle mode”.
