Title: Security Fears After Baseball Tragedy
Topic: Safety for Elected Officials
Discussed by Matt Mackowiak
with Matt Mackowiak (www.washingtontimes.com/staff/matt-mackowiak)
The shocking news that a gunman opened fire on a baseball practice
for Republican members of Congress reverberated across Washington, the nation,
and the world. Short of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and its threat
to the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon, it is hard to recall a time in our recent
history when a large group of elected officials were targeted for assassination.
Where do we go from here?

Questions/Issues Discussed:
What is security like within the capital building?
How secure are elected officials outside the capital or their office building?
Has the level of discord between Republicans and Liberals concerning gun rights
and other issues become so out of control that we need to hit the reset button?
Have Liberals twisted and manipulated free speech rights to fit their agenda?
