Title: Consistency Compared to Hypocrisy
Topic: Liberal Hypocrisy
Discussed by David Almasi
with National Center for Public Policy Research (www.NationalCenter.org)
The Left is at it again, and this time it’s the popular Coca-Cola Company.
In 2016, Coca-Cola lent its name to the group Georgia Prospers in opposition to a bill that would have protected religious institutions from having to perform functions that compromised their faith. Yet, Coca-Cola is heavily invested in countries that do not provide equal rights to Christians, gays, or women.
David Almasi is the Vice President at the National Center for Public Policy Research. Their Free Enterprise Project is the nation’s leading proponent of free-market investor activism.
Questions/Issues Discussed:
Does Coca-Cola invest/operate in countries that consider homosexuality a crime and where the penalty can be death?
How is a country/region defined as “high-risk”?
Instead of investing/operating in these high-risk countries, should Coca-Cola instead organize protests against those governments until they provide equal rights to all? Or does Coca-Cola care more about profits than people?
The National Center is a shareholder in Coca-Cola, which allows them to attend shareholder meetings and inquire about issues such as this. Listen as David describes the strides they are making in spreading the word about Coca-Cola’s double standards, as well as other companies.
