Questions/Issues Discussed:
Pastor Trammel uses the word REST as an acrostic for this week’s sermon. When your load exceeds your limit, it’s time to
REST. R represents: “Respond to Jesus' invitation” and
E moves you to “Embrace his promise”. S…do you “Submit to His Will” – fully? TODAY we learn what “T” represents! Listen in!
Get rid of your yokes – your burdens. Leave them on the floor and light them on fire! Now, take up the yoke of Jesus and allow him to fill you and wash you clean.
T: Treasure the relationship you have with Jesus Christ. Learn from him. It’s a journey. From The Message: “Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.”
What would your schedule look like if Jesus was in charge of it? Is it hard for you to say “no”? Instead, say “yes to God’s best.”
Remember to: connect with God, nurture your relationships, love what you do, and have fun!
Finally, Pastor Trammel concludes the sermon with this quote from Wayne Cordeiro: “Your soul is like a battery that discharges each time you give life away.”

Has your view of reality been skewed by the materialistic world?
Pastor Trammel challenges you to throw your yoke into the fire. Now, take up the yoke Jesus offers you and “submit to His will”. Doesn’t that feel better?

Why is REST so important for your body and soul?
Should Sunday still be reserved for a day of worship and REST?
Do you need to make adjustments in your life to properly REST?
Should we all have a daily, weekly, and yearly Sabbath?
Pastor Trammel continues with his acronym REST with the letter
S: “Submit to His will”. Do you truly trust Him in all things and submit your future to Him?
What “yoke” do you carry? Are you allowing God to take that yoke and put you back together again? Are you carrying a yoke that doesn’t even belong to you?”

Yesterday, we learned that R represents: “Respond to Jesus’s invitation”. Today, Pastor Fleming shares that
E moves you to “Embrace his promise”. Jesus promises that he will give us
REST, which means to revive, restore, and renew. Doesn’t that sound wonderful? I know we all need
REST every now and then.
“God does not want you to ‘stick it out’”, Pastor Trammel says. He wants you to come to the “place of brokenness in humility where you acknowledge that Jesus is Lord and you are not.”

Day 1
Do you take care of yourself first and others second? We often want to make sure everyone else is satisfied before we are. That’s just who we are. More importantly, though, is this question: Are you taking care of yourself SPIRITUALLY?
That is the focus of this week’s sermon on Matthew Chapter 11, “Soul Care”, presented by Pastor Stephen Trammel, the lead pastor at Champion Forest North Klein.
The North Klein area is exploding with home and business developments and we are
beyond excited that the North Klein campus will soon have a brand new permanent
home. For details about the Champion Forest North Klein campus, click
