Title: Great Hope in a Low Valley
Topic: Great Hope in a Low Valley
Discussed by Pastor Averri LeMalle
with Champion Forest Baptist Church (www.ChampionForest.org)

Part 5

Pastor Averri T. LeMalle is the Teaching Pastor at Champion Forest Baptist Church. On Sunday, July 3, 2016, he preached a sermon entitled: “Great Hope in a Low Valley” from Ezekiel 37: 1-14. Today, we will be airing the final portion of Pastor Averri’s sermon. Tune in next week as Vicar Melvin Tinker, from London, subs in for Mark Lanier teaching on “Why I Am Not a Buddhist”.

Pastor Averri gets very passionate in this week’s final segment. He wants to stress that God is not just sitting around, waiting for you to ask Him what to do. He’s already mandated your purpose; He’s simply waiting for you to obey!

Practical Steps on how to increase your hearing the Word of God: Submerge yourself in the Scripture
Surround yourself with the Word of God
Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit
Write out the Word of God every day

Pastor Averri encourages you to write, type, or text the Word of God for the next six weeks. Use sticky notes. Use a notepad or a journal. Text the Word of God to your cell phone or a prayer partner. Type an email to yourself or a friend with Scripture. Daily. Every day for the next six weeks. Try it and see how God changes your attitude toward those valley moments.

Part 4

Pastor Averri T. LeMalle is the Teaching Pastor at Champion Forest Baptist Church. On Sunday, July 3, 2016, he preached a sermon entitled: “Great Hope in a Low Valley” from Ezekiel 37: 1-14. Listen in each weekday as we air a portion of his encouraging message about the Valley of Dry Bones.

Pastor Averri continues to break down Ezekiel 37: 1-14 in today’s segment, specifically verse 9: “Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’”

When God speaks, He mandates a response. When God speaks, something WILL happen. When He speaks to you, you will become passionate and willing to do what He says. The “bones” will come together and become whole again.

Tune in tomorrow to hear the conclusion of Pastor Averri LeMalle’s sermon on “Great Hope in a Low Valley”.

God is unlimited. Even though our circumstance may be glum and we may think there is no way out of the rut we are in, God knows. He sees. He cares. “We do not have to lose hope even though it appears hopeless because the God of hope is in the valley with you,” Pastor Averri states.

You do have a responsibility, though. When God speaks, you must hear what He says. You cannot ignore His voice and still expect to be lifted up out of the valley. Sometimes, we are too loud and simply cannot hear Him. Quiet down in those times and really, really listen for His answer – His help – His guidance. Trust me, He will definitely be there.

Part 2

Pastor Averri T. LeMalle is the Teaching Pastor at Champion Forest Baptist Church. On Sunday, July 3, 2016, he preached a sermon entitled: “Great Hope in a Low Valley” from Ezekiel 37: 1-14. Listen in each weekday as we air a portion of his encouraging message about the Valley of Dry Bones.

The celebration of independence isn’t just a notion, but an expectation. This is the concept which President John Adams wrote about, and Pastor Averri feels is vitally important, especially today.

In Ezekiel 37, the people may still be “children” of God, but they are not “representing” God. The temple had bene destroyed. They people no longer practiced godly activities. Pastor Averri says, “The distinctive that made them children of God are now diluted…There is a hole in their holiness that leads to a dryness in their soul.” Wow. What a concept. Listen in as Pastor Averri gives more wisdom from Ezekiel.

Everyone has experienced a “valley full of bones”; it is the way you react to that valley which will affect your holiness. When we try to help ourselves out of that valley, we realize that we really don’t have all the answers. However, “God is not limited by our limitations,” Pastor Averri states. God knows we can’t do it. He knows that we need Him. God has already been in the valley before you ever stepped foot in the midst of the bones. He knows how to pull you through. Try Him first and it will work out better than you could ever imagine.

Pastor Averri T. LeMalle is the Teaching Pastor at Champion Forest Baptist Church. On Sunday, July 3, 2016, he preached a sermon entitled: “Great Hope in a Low Valley” from the Scripture passage Ezekiel 37: 1-14. Today, Pastor Averri will give a short recap of that sermon. In addition, listen in each weekday here on the What’s UP Radio Program to hear an excerpt from that sermon.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Why did Pastor Averri choose the text from Ezekiel 37: 1-14 for the July 4th weekend sermon?

The Nation of Israel, at one time, had known the blessings of God, but in the passage found in Ezekiel, where are the people of God?

From the mountain top to the valley, what happened to God’s people?

Are we, who call ourselves Christians, somewhat dry in God’s eyes? Pastor Averri says, “Any time we allow our holiness to be hijacked by anything of the world, it leads to a leak in our spiritual development and fellowship with God and that relationship can dry.

There is great hope for the future. Pastor Averi LeMalle will encourage you to:

Submerge yourself in the Word
Surround yourself in the Word
Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit
Write out the Word every day.

Pastor Averri encourages listeners to write out Scripture on sticky notes, type them in an email, text it to yourself, and read the passage often throughout the day.

Form a new habit: do this for the next six weeks. See how your life will change.

Part 1

Pastor Averri T. LeMalle is the Teaching Pastor at Champion Forest Baptist Church. On Sunday, July 3, 2016, he preached a sermon entitled: “Great Hope in a Low Valley” from Ezekiel 37: 1-14. Listen in each weekday as we air a portion of his encouraging message about the Valley of Dry Bones.

God has been good to our country. He has blessed us, indeed. But have we become dry, like the bones Ezekiel described? Can we come together once again and be made whole?

Pastor Averri LeMalle tells a story of how he was driving with some “interrogation specialists” recently. When these “FBI agents” noticed something new, they questioned him. Listen in as he tells the story of fireworks, children, the Declaration of Independence, google, and the big “why” question.

The celebration of independence isn’t just a notion, but an expectation. This is the concept which President John Adams wrote about. Pastor Averri feels this concept is vitally important, especially today. We celebrate with fireworks and guns and parades, but what about our reverence to God for allowing us the freedom in our country to honor Him? Do we still do that? Tune in tomorrow for more!
