Leading up to the
start of school each year, the Texas legislature allows for Tax Free Days on
certain school supplies.
Senator Glenn Hegar encourages all with school age children to plan their
Back-To-School shopping to take advantage of the upcoming “Tax Free Days” in
early August.
Certain items costing less than $100 will be exempt from state and local sales
taxes on Friday, August 9 through Sunday, August 11.
