Title: How Young is Too Young?
Topic: Morning After Pill
Discussed by Anna Higgins
with Center for Human Dignity at the Family Research Council (FRC.org/Human-Dignity)
When I heard the
news that District Judge Edward Korman had ordered the FDA to make the
morning-after pill readily available without a prescription to anyone, of any
age, I thought it was a late April Fool’s Day joke. But, alas, it was not.
And now, as we all begin to come out of our shock and amazement, what can be
done?
This places serious risks for all young girls and women of every age. An uncle
who is molesting his young niece can now go get the pill on his own and give it
to her as a pre-caution, further aiding his disgusting behavior. Young men can
now abuse their girlfriends and give them the pill without fear of getting her
pregnant.
People often forget that the morning-after pill does not protect against STD’s,
HIV, and AIDS, so the young girls and women - as well as the entire population -
are at greater risk of all those horrible diseases.

Title: Is the Food and Drug Administration independent of politics?
Topic: Morning After Pill
Discussed by Wendy Wright
with Center for Family and Human Rights (www.C-Fam.org)
Wendy Wright explains the mission, the purpose, and the focus of the FDA. She answers: "Is the FDA independent of politics?" And: "Is a pending bill in Washington, D.C. an attempt to politicize the oversite process of the FDA?" Is this battle just about selling abortion and sex to Americans?
