Title: The Normalization of Anxiety
Topic: Anxiety Disorders
Discussed by Dr. Tim Elmore
with Growing Leaders
Anxiety is the emotion we all feel when we become overwhelmed with
too much happening or with the feeling of being out of control.
Life naturally brings stressors with it.
An anxiety disorder is a chronic state of mind where a person feels overwhelmed,
fearful, and distressed constantly, even in daily situations. While there are
several types of anxiety disorders, they all share these symptoms.
Dr. Tim Elmore, with Growing Leaders, wrote a blog a few month ago on
this issue. The information can be found
here.

Special guest Tom Taormina answers:
Is a company’s reputation hurt if it has a record of employees mentally breaking
down while on the job? Do corporations need to have employee behavior standards
and discipline models in place?
How can other businesses, large and small, learn from this and implement plans
to recognize potential behavioral risks before the break down?

Title: One minute, you are perfectly fine, then suddenly, SNAP!!! HOW do panic attacks happen?
Topic: Anxiety Disorders
Discussed by Dr. Gregory Jantz
with The Center - A Place of Hope (www.APlaceOfHope.com)
Special guest Dr. Gregory Jantz answers:
One minute you are perfectly fine, normal, and then SNAP. Could this have been
building over time? Are pilots at high risk for acute panic attacks, especially
in this post 9-11 era?
A prior guest suggested that many pilots today have no military background or
training. Do pilots without military training lack “the RIGHT STUFF”? Would
there have been warning signs?
Are too many listening right now just one “thing” away of snapping? How can we
all begin to rein in our anger?
