Voters believe that cutting spending is good for the economy. Politicians say they support reducing the deficit, but they are NOT willing to cut their ‘pet projects’.

Elected officials do not want to de-fund their own bridges to nowhere.

This only results in more spending and more taxing. Why not the “Penny Plan”? Cut every budget by 1 penny per every dollar – a 1% cut. We would have learned to live on less and it is now time all government agencies did the same.
