Title: Part 2 of 3
Topic: A Better December
Discussed by Pastor Dr. Mark Estep
with Spring Baptist Church (www.springbaptist.org)
In this segment, Pastor Steve
covers Proverbs 27:20 and Proverbs 30:7-9. How do these two verses apply to
Christmas and being neighborly and friendly to those around us?
Host’s Side Note: We may not be able to do much, but we can all do some. Has
your family ever “adopted” a family at Christmas time? There is no better time
to start than this year! If you cannot do it all, join with others and really
bless the socks off someone who is hurting.

Title: Part 3 of 4
Topic: Lessons for Life
Discussed by Pastor Dr. Mark Estep
with Spring Baptist Church (www.springbaptist.org)
In the days that Jesus walked
this earth, the Pharisees were big-time liars. They told the people that it was
ok to make an oath - or promise - as long as they didn't utter the word "God".
They could swear on anything else and it was okay.
In this part of Mark Estep's sermon, he explains why this is so dangerous and
calls the Pharisees' instructions to the people "spiritual schizophrenia".

Are you a dependable person? Or
better yet, are your words dependable? Have you ever listened to a young child
describe their day at school and asked them "are you exaggerating"?
Have you ever caught a 2 pound catfish that magically grew into a 15 pounder
when you were telling your buddies at the office? Isn't exaggerating the same as
lying?
