Part 1 of 2

SPECIAL GUEST HOST: Delilah

“Taste Your Words” is a great children’s book that people of ALL ages can benefit from.  Author Bonnie Clark does an excellent job of teaching (or re-teaching!) the importance of listening to others and choosing our words carefully. [special thanks to our co-host today, Delilah…you did such a great job!]

Bonnie is also the author of “Catching Thoughts”. You can find her books here.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

How can parents and grandparents use “Taste Your Words” to teach kids about the power of words and the importance of kindness?

Do some words taste bitter or gross? Do some words taste like mud? What metaphors are found in “Taste Your Words”?

After tasting lemons and dirt, spoiled milk, rotten eggs, pickle juice, and mud, did the main character in “Taste Your Words” have a change of attitude?

What did the main character taste after the gross stuff?

Taste Your Words” be a teaching book for all ages.
