Part 1 of 2
When your children are little, it is easy to sit down before bedtime and read
them a short story from the Bible or other book. They love the cuddles just as
much as you do! But as they grow older and have soccer or ballet practice 2-3
times a week or piano or cello lessons after school, finding quality time
together is sometimes hard. It also gets more difficult for them to sit on our
laps!
What if you had a book filled with a collection of short prayers and devotions
from pastors, pastor’s wives, and children’s ministers that you could share with
your growing children? That would be perfect, right?
Dr. Johnny Hunt is the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Woodstock,
Georgia, and President of Timothy Barnabas Ministry. He is a sought after
speaker who holds conferences each year for men, senior adults, and youth. He
and others have compiled a 52-week devotional book, “Bedtime Devotions with
Jesus”, to help parents navigate day-to-day life with their children through
Scripture, devotions, prayers, and truths about God’s word.
Forgiveness is an issue everyone deals with, young and old alike. That is why
Dr. Hunt begins his newest book with that very topic – not only forgiveness from
Jesus Christ, but the importance of forgiving others and accepting theirs. Tune
in to the next segment with Dr. Hunt as he goes into more detail about his new
book, “Bedtime Devotions with Jesus”.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Bedtime Devotions with Jesus

The Southern Baptist
Convention reports that nearly 80% of children raised in the Baptist Church quit
going to church or lose their faith altogether before they finish college.
This is a sad reality.
Dr. Hunt takes that declaration one step further and says, “Most of them
didn’t leave their faith; most of them never possessed their own personal faith.
They left their families’ faith.” What does he mean by this statement?
Listen in as he explains what parents must start doing now with their children
to ensure they will continue to grow with God all of their days.
Psalm 119 reminds Christians of the importance of knowing and trusting in God’s
Word. Dr. Hunt’s new book, “Bedtime Devotions with Jesus”, can help
your children – or even your grandchildren – establish a lasting relationship
with Jesus so they will never depart from it. The book also discusses Creation,
friends, blessings, faith, and other issues from a child’s perspective. Dr. Hunt
briefly explains why those issues are included in this devotional book as well.
