The Tax Assessor-Collector’s office is also in charge of voter registration. If you have moved but haven’t changed your voter registration information, your vote might not count! With the election coming up in November, time is running out to update your address.

Did you know that, as a parent, you can register your children over the age of 17 and 10 months, as long as they live in your house? Did you know that you, as a child over the age of 18, can register your parents to vote, as long as they live in your house? Yes, yes, and yes!

“But I don’t want to be called to jury duty!” This used to be the case, but not anymore. If you have a valid Texas Driver’s License, you can be called to serve on a jury! So, why not go ahead and register to vote, as well? It makes sense! Plus, you’ll finally be able to justify all your rants on Facebook and Twitter about how the government is messing up our country.

Terry or Mike will contact you and take you out to dinner for a hamburger!
