What is the principle behind School Choice?

Many public education teachers, administrators, and lobbyists have their kids in a private school. Many elected officials send their kids to private schools, as well. Why do these parents fight so hard to keep other students in public school if they, themselves, are sending their kids to private school?

Do Americans support or oppose School Choice? Tony breaks down the numbers per race, political affiliation, income, and age, saying: “People want to send their kids where they can get a good education, not where the zip code says they have to go.”

What is the top argument from those who oppose School Choice?

Has the time come for School Choice? Tony says: “It’s already here…and it’s like a freight train.”

Every state in the nation permits some form of School Choice. Some states have the “School Voucher Program”, where the money allotted for each student is given to the parent to spend on whichever school setting they deem best. Have the public schools in those states crumbled and been dismantled?
