Historic denominations are dying. Church memberships and baptisms plummet with every passing year. Pastors and church leaders are concerned about their churches plateauing. Why? One of the major reasons is because congregations aren't being publicly called to faith in Christ.

Today, Dr. Matt Queen discusses his new book, “The Gospel Invitation: Why Publicly Inviting People to Receive Christ Still Matters”  which he co-authored with O.S. Hawkins, former pastor for First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Queen is the L.R. Scarborough Chair of Evangelism ("Chair of Fire") and Professor of Evangelism at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, where he also serves as Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Administration. Dr. Queen is the Associate Pastor of Evangelism at Lane Prairie Baptist Church in Joshua, Texas.
