Title: Is Planned Parenthood Distancing Themselves from Margaret Sanger?
Topic: Planned Parenthood
Discussed by Reverend Dean Nelson
with Human Coalition (www.humancoalition.org/)

Is election integrity another concern for many Texans? Is this issue on the radar of our state elected officials?

In a recent New York Times article (you can read the article here),  current Planned Parenthood President and CEO, Alexis McGill Johnson, “reckoned” with the legacy of their founder, Margaret Sanger. Was Sanger racist or not? Did Johnson actually denounce the founder’s beliefs?

Reverend Dean Nelson is the Vice President of Government Relations with Human Coalition.. He is responsible for advancing the Culture of Life in the political sphere by building bridges, coalitions, and partnerships.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is Planned Parenthood’s association with Margaret Sanger?

Why have some New York City Planned Parenthood clinics removed Margaret Sanger’s name from their buildings?

Does Planned Parenthood really target neighborhoods and communities where minorities live?

What was Margaret Sanger’s goal? Did she desire a “pure race of people”?

Are Planned Parenthood’s current practices racist?
