Title: #truth
Topic: Book Review
Discussed by Josh McDowell
with Josh McDowell (www.josh.org)

Part 1 of 3

Josh McDowell is no stranger to the Christian community. He has spoken in more than 120 countries, giving more than 27,000 talks to over 25 million people. He has authored or co-authored more than 145 books in over 100 languages including “More Than a Carpenter” which has over 27 million copies in circulation.

Josh’s latest book, however, caters directly to teens. It is entitled “#truth” (yes, with the hashtag) and I believe every parent of tweens, teens, and college students should own it.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Why is it important for older people to connect on a spiritual level with teens (and anyone younger than they are)?

Is the 365 day devotional “#truth” designed to equip grandparents and parents to connect with their grandkids and kids?

Too many youth go to college and stop going to church on a regular basis. Even more stop believing in God completely. Listen as Josh McDowell discusses why this concerns him greatly.

Why is the internet both a blessing and a curse?

Should parents and grandparents be in constant prayer for their kids and grandkids? Josh reveals some startling statistics…Listen in…

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Listen in as Terry reads from the August 8 devotion from Josh McDowell’s new book, “#truth”. This devotion is entitled: “Sin Not Allowed”. Why did Josh write this particular devotion?

Does everyone sin?

Should children have the “right” concept of sin?

Many teens and college students are depressed. Too many. Can “#truth” help parents better understand their teen’s depression? Can “#truth” help teens communicate better with their parents?
