Title: The Real Heaven

Part 1 of 2
Heaven has received a lot of attention in recent years as bestselling books and movies have told the stories of people who claim to have been there.
But what is this place we call Heaven? What does it look like? What will we do there? Heaven is in the clouds, right? Will we receive our white robe when we check in? Hollywood and many people claiming to have experienced Heaven have given us their versions, but it is the Bible that holds the truth.
In his new book, “The Real Heaven”, author and Pastor Chip Ingram, along with Lance Witt, have an opened up a brand-new dialogue about what Heaven is really like. First, Pastor Ingram says we must “understand what God has promised and have an Eternal perspective.” He points out that the last conversation Jesus had with his disciples in John 14 was about Heaven. That is not a coincidence; it was purposeful.
What happens to us when we die? We have a real place prepared for us in Heaven. “Jesus’s death on the cross assures us of this. His resurrection demonstrated that it is true,” Pastor Ingram says. He goes on to explain the various levels of Heaven using the “2-Minute Drill”. He will continue with this explanation in the next segment, so listen in!
Facts you may not know about Heaven (more are found in Pastor Chip Ingram’s new
book, “The
Real Heaven”)
“The bodies we have now are natural and of this earth. But our glorified bodies will be spiritual and of Heaven. When our bodies are resurrected, we will have a body like Jesus, the second Adam.”
“The New Heaven and the New Earth will be familiar to us.”

Title: Part 2 of 2 - The Real Heaven
Topic: Book Review

Heaven is a topic that non-believers are actually very open to
discussing. Having an honest conversation with someone about
Heaven and Hell is something that every Christian should be comfortable with.
Pastor Chip Ingram encourages you to learn more in this segment so you can be
more equipped with the information needed to nudge someone to Jesus.
The Bible describes three levels of Heaven: “the atmosphere, stars and
galaxy, and the abode of God – where God rules and reigns”. Pastor Ingram
explains how the “abode of God” will be like the Garden of Eden before there was
sin. He also uses “three boxes” to illustrate the three levels of Heaven. Listen
in as he clarifies.
God definitely desires to spend Eternity with every person who has ever lived on
Earth and who will in the future. However, that is simply not the case. Even
more unfortunate is the fact that, just like there is a real Heaven, there is a
real Hell – and it is not like the Hell Hollywood portrays.
“God is a respecter of persons,” Pastor Ingram says. “There can’t
be real love without freedom and choice. Hell is a place reserved for people who
don’t want to be around God.” Ouch. I’ve never thought of Hell that way,
but it is true. Why else would anyone willingly spend Eternity there?
In his book, “The Real Heaven”, Pastor Ingram poses this question to
readers: Would you rather go to Heaven now or wait ten more years? Why would he
ask such a question? If you had the choice, which would you choose? Listen in as
Pastor Ingram shares what choice he would make…
Check out Pastor Chip Ingram’s
website and order several copies of his book, “The Real Heaven” –
one for you, one for your church library, one for a friend, and one for a family
member, especially if they are lost and do not have a saving knowledge of Jesus
Christ. This is also the perfect, short book for someone who has recently lost a
loved one.
